Just alright, you’re not going to razzle dazzle anyone here, green curry coconut sauce kinda bland. Think it’s more if you’re in a mood that you would drop by here. Exterior sign looked new, that’s what tricked me here. Kinda surprising b/c in this area, there isn’t much competition so maybe that’s it, no need to impress haha, bet if a few more thai places popped up around it, who knows. At least it’s clean, & a bit too spacious: why there’s so much space behind their counter is kinda amusing. almost like the lady who works there alone is in a boxing ring or something. She is nice though. About 6 – 8 tables here. Lots of free parking but watch for Hastings rush hour restrictions.

The pop I ordered tasted better. I couldn’t say anything was healthy about that lunch special I ordered. 4 small pieces of chicken on a stick with a small salad, large portion of rice to go with it. The chicken was dry and lacked flavour. There was no sauce for me to put on the rice. I don’t pay 7.50CAD for that because you can buy much better in this city. I couldn’t wait for my meal to be over. When I was telling the lady what was wrong with the meal, she ran away. I left discouraged and felt my day was ruined. I would have rathered grabbed a lunch special from KFC for 3 dollars.

Oct. 11 This little Thai restaurant is always empty when I go in. The lady that works there always remembers me and my order, although I usually try something different each time I go in. Everything is inexpensive and I really enjoy the peanut sauce. The food is fast and so good it’s a great place to go if you are hungry now!

Small Thai restaurant on Hastings. The owner, does the waitres and cook in the same time, so just for that I have to say that I was impressed. Now the food wasn’t the greatest, I had way better Thai food. Yes the price was really good, 7CAD for some curry. I just found the taste to be very average. My cooking would have been as good.

Great independent owner, the selection is varied enough. But the restaurant meets my price: value:taste ratio Good tasting food, great price, great value for what you get. Definitely a good quick lunch spot.

I live in the neighbourhood and have been to this restaurant a couple times. Had the Pad Thai and wife had the green curry. Great place for a quick cheap meal. The pad Thai was good and the green curry was tasty but lack sauce.(Similar to other review– served on rice so the sauce seemed to be soaked up). But for the price, this is a great local eatery for Thai. Definitely check it out!

It’s close to work and I LOVE thai food but this place was so eerie. It was clean and empty and it didn’t look like a restaurant, like there was no food in sight or to smell… I ordered the lunch special. $ 5.99 for a green curry with rice sounded like a sweet deal but the result was very disappointing. There was very little«sauce» and the only veg they supplied me with was bamboo shoots or something like that. Also, I like a little more tofu than what they gave me. All over it was not a very good lunch. I hope the results weren’t typical.

When you first walk into the surprisingly spacious hole in the wall, it seems very sterile and uninteresting. Trusting Annie’s review, we decided to forge ahead and try it for ourselves. It seems to be a one woman operation, with the same woman taking our orders and then rushing into the back to make the food. It is a somewhat limited menu, with all the regular Thai food favourites, but lacking things like Panang or Massaman curry, which I prefer. I ordered the tom ka, and peanut sauce stir fry with veggies/chicken, and my companion had green curry. Everything was served on disposable dishes(not so awesome), and it was all quite tasty. The green curry was served over rice, rather than in a separate dish, and came without many vegetables and with some sort of what(we’re guessing here) were bamboo shoots, kind of julienned. Considering she was the only person there, and in addition to our table, there was another table of 3, the server/cook was remarkably attentive and when we asked for more water, was genuinely concerned that she’d made the food too spicy. Our total, before tip was less than $ 17. Great value for money, sweet little owner, we’ll be back, and I hope she succeeds! Cash only.

This little place is great for a quick lunch or afternoon snacks! I just tried their veggie spring rolls, and they are so delicious! Just the right amount of crispiness for me! I never thought I would prefer veggie spring rolls over ones with meat in it! You guys must try it out! I also like their pad thai! Its about $ 7 and the portion is huge! I wasn’t able to finish it! I love it when restaurants give large portions for a small price! We also had the bbq chicken wrap with sweet & spicy sauce. This is a great item to order too! I only paid $ 6 for this wrap and it comes with Thai Iced Tea. My next item to try would be their wrap with peanut sauce… mmmm… peanut… XD The only thing I would say they need to work on is that its cash only. and I rarely carry cash, but its a good thing there are many banks around this café! :)
