This review is probably not going to be useful in any way. I made my way here to see the BFDJ at about 1:30ish in the morning. So I pretty much missed the whole night of music and dancing, but I did make it in time for last call — which is always a priority. The BF forgot to put me on his guest list… but the lovely door staff were kind enough to let me in anyways since the night was almost over. Since I only had time for one drink, it had to be double, and I am happy to say was only about $ 9, and then the BF got me a shot of Jäger for the mix up, which was lovely. Even more lovely, was the Jagermeister Xmas tree they made out of empties! Now I don’t usually condone decorating your house with liquor bottles, but I gotta say, the lighting and look of the tree was pretty damn impressive, but I don’t think I could drink that much Jäger to make my own tree without getting alcohol poisoning first. But hey, I got the moves like Jäger… So anyways… I waited with the BF while he packed up all his gear at the end of the night, and just drank with the staff, and I gotta say — these were the nicest bunch of people I have ever met! Its so refreshing to not be yelled at at the end of the night to «get the funk out» when its closing time. They totally let me hang out and wait and we chatted about kntting scarves and I felt like instead of having another drink we should have been having tea. So fuck the BF and his guest list, I’m going back to the Bunker to hang out with the staff! Oh yea, and the doorgirl was hot.

Awesome local bar that is now called«The Den»… go figure. I thought the«Bunker Bar» name was way cooler. We do a podcast there every second Wednesday. Great Black Beer but no food. However you can order food and have it delivered(I like the noodle place across the street) so grab some grub and bring it with you. It’s a great place to meet people who are into fun and like to drink. Google«The Bunker Project Vancouver» for more info on the podcast.

This is a fun place to go. The staff are excellent and run a totally unpretentious bar with an assortment of regulars through the week, and DJs who pack the joint and get everybody up dancing on weekends. The drinks are super cheap, they play great music, all the hockey games. I wish there were more bars like the Bunker.

Oh dang, did we ever have fun. A group of us had a sudden whim to go dancing but t at 11pm on a Saturday where can a group of 10 people get in? Well, the Bunker treated us just right. No dresscode, no lineup and cheap cover equaled one great night of relaxed fun. That’s a sweet deal for downtown Vancouver! A dj played funk while a total random and uncrowded mix of people danced. There were no Usher’s or Timberlake’s in the house, we all just danced as goofily as we liked. And it was freaking fantastic. I’m guessing that the drinks were cheap, because the place is a complete hole in the wall(the boys paid). The walls decorated with Eastern-inspired artwork that glowed like neon signs beneath the black lights. Trippy. If you’re dolled to the nines by all means go to Republic, otherwise join me in my lulu’s here!

Had an excellent experience at the Bunker. As soon as the door opened, I was pleasantly surprised to hear fantastic beats, see colorful lights bounce around the dark basement-like atmosphere, I got into it right away. Decent drink prices, friendly bartender, great DJ. Not too big or overwhelming, lots of friendly and happy dancing faces. Would definitely go back!

All I gotta say is EW! You could seriously suffocate in there. Do not go unless you wanna know what a herd of cows feels like in a death house. Hidden gem my ass. See my review(and pic) of Fabric and multiply the grossness factor of the Bunker 1000X.
