italienisches restaurant touched with americanstyle… also selten isst man roastet chicken mit pasta, aber die kombination passte. nicht die grösste auswahl, dafür nicht zu teuer. gemütlich, freundlich, gutes essen

Excellent food!My favorite restaurant in downtown. Love the seafood pizza and pasta there and the dessert is wonderful as well. Everything is impressive and Cinch is worth to recommend to my friends!

I really really like the food here. It has the feel of a locals place and it is so reasonably priced. I just wish, wish, wish, the service was better. The other night it took them close to an hour to serve us dinner – yes, really– and there were only two other tables waiting for dinner at the time, one came in after us, and ordered after us. One of our dinners was risotto, so maybe that was it, but come on, if that is going to be that long, say some thing in advance, or at least after half an hour in your half empty restaurant, say something. Also, they used to have a great chicken dish which they took off the menu, saying no one ordered it, but my guess would be that it was at the very end of the menu and that played a part. But still, I really really like the food.

My family were visiting from out of town so we decided to give Cinch a try. We were so disappointed in the really bad service and were perplexed as to why our food took so so long when the restaurant was only half full. The two waitresses seemed run off their feet but they only had at least 3 – 4 tables each. They also seemed to be scared of the chefs because when we asked how long our food would take they would just look through the window of the door to the kitchen instead of going inside to ask. The atmosphere was totally bizarre. They did offer us a carafe of wine for the lateness of the food which we accepted … However we were not expecting the waitress to pour it into our already half full glasses of a more expensive one :( Totally unprofessional. The icing on the cake was when we overheard the waitress telling two elderly ladies how much they should tip her ! So weird. Ps the food was also really not that great. The smoked salmon pizza was the most unappetizing pizza I have seen in Vancouver. PSS. I also wouldn’t recommend the calamari. It definitely seemed frozen and deep fat fried. Ugh. I would avoid this restaurant but if you want a totally entertaining and strange night give it a try!

A Chinese gentleman from Shanghai owns this italian restaurant, which is kind of wired. But the food are very good, so does the service. We tried lamb tongue, which is not in the manu, special for Sunday. the texture was Sophie soft and tender. The seafood pasta was my favorite course yesterday. Will go there again some time!

What a gem on Robson which we discovered last night! Unassuming little restaurant with lots of flavour, charm and neighbourhood love! The service is exceptional. In fact, so much so that we’re planning our NYE with them tonight after an impromptu drop in last night. Food is fresh, simple and relatively light sauces for their pasta. I can’t say enough about this cute little joint. Hard to find this type of service and unpretentious vibe in the heart of van. Looking forward to an awesome nye countdown tonight with a group of friends :)

Small quaint spot for some delicious Italian food. There’s never really a wait and service is always great. I really like this place. And best of all the chefs can alter/change the dishes to exactly what you like.

Wonderful atmosphere. Cinch’s is a great little find on Robson street, with reasonable prices for Italian food. The service was really good; the food came fast and hot, and the servers regularly checked up on my friend and I to see if we needed anything. We shared the calamari appetizer, which wasn’t out of this world. However, it was not too oily. Could’ve been crispier! The portion was also pretty small. I had the scallops and prawns entrée which comes with your choice of fries, yam fries, or potatoes. I ordered the yam fries. The scallops were really nice, but the prawns were standard. I did not particularly enjoy the sauce the entrée was in. It was accompanied by a few vegetables. The star of the meal was the yam fries! Crispy, hot, and super tasty with the chipotle dipping sauce. My friend had the salmon, which came with mixed vegetables(squash, broccoli, beets, zucchini, etc.) The salmon was perfectly cooked, and I really liked the sauce. Both portions of the entrees definitely filled us up but again, it was to be expected considering the price(which is expensive-ish). Nevertheless, I enjoyed my experience. I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here, but if you’re in the area and wanting to ‘play it safe’, I would suggest Cinch Grill.

Walked by many times, stopped in tonight. Excellent attentive service, really fresh boccocini salad with excellent balsamic vinegar. Had the Cinch Spaghetti, deliciously done slightly more than al dente and although they use a cream sauce, it’s kept light so it doesn’t overwhelm. Top that off with the bill being good and you have sweet value. As others said, a gem in the neighborhood.

First time we came here. This was highly recommended by our dentist whose office is only a few doors away. Once you step in, you’ll smell the wonderful aroma of food. We were greeted and seated right away. I looked at the Unilocal listing of this place and surprised that there were only a few pictures posted so we just picked out what looks good on the menu. My husband zeroes in on the platter for 2 and we built our lunch around that ordering a side salad and mussels. The servings were generous and let me tell you it is delish! Our server, Misty, was great. She explained to us the platter and offered condiments that will go well with the food(i.e. Parmesan Cheese and Red Chilli Flakes). Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Everyone should line up for this place.

Just enjoyed a delicious lunch at Cinch Grill. The Chicken Cutlet on Toasted Baguette was well pitched and deliciously received. Paired with Nice house Merlot. The Sandwhich is a little too big for one lunch, so I was pleased to enjoy the rest later. Service was friendly. The outdoor patio is more ambient and seasonal than others on lower Robson St. I would definitely come here for lunch again.

Nice décor joint on Robson, across fr Gyoza King. White table cloths, date worthy at first glance. Menu a lot more Italian than name suggests. Ordered the seafood linguini, good cream sauce… expected to pay this price around $ 15 for lunch, just won’t make me come back anytime soon… this was way back in Sept. & would rather go to Ciao Bella(offers delivery), at least Mon/Tues 50% off, they offer half price specials for same quality & quantity IMHO ;) did find the tables a bit cramped. Patio seating avail in the summer. typical rush hr restrictions for parking but side street’s there.

If you want a solid local eatery with exceptional service, and great food, then Cinch is the place on Robson. Dined with three other friends, and from the start it was obvious that what sets Cinch apart in the area, other than quality food, is the fantastic service you receive from the moment you step into the place. A warm greeting was followed by attentive service throughout. We ordered a variety of items from the menu, starting with the battered tiger prawns, which I could easily eat a bucket of they were so good. Perfectly light and crispy. Our mains consisted of the pesto chicken pizza, chorizo pasta, and the grilled chicken burger. The pizza was thin and crispy, very flavorful. The chorizo pasta had just the right amount of sauce and spiciness, and the grilled chicken sandwich was also very tasty. All four of us were very happy with the quantity and quality of the food. We polished the food off with a great bottle of wine, and ordered lattes at the end, the quality of which once again left us pleasantly surprised. Restaurant coffee is hit and miss, but this was definitely a hit. Definitely be back, and perhaps for lunch to try one of their paninis.

Fantastic find, I’ve been complaining that the west end has no gems, this is a true neighbourhood gem. Good food, good prices and good service. The mussels and pizza are what I had and they were great. I got food envy when I saw the dinner salad served at the table next to us. Definately going back!

Love this place. We have become regulars at this restaurant, and it’s because they always put out excellent food, and the service is excellent. Moe, Rebecca & Misty make you feel like you’re part of the family. The have creative daily specials that we enjoy very much, and many items off the menu that we order on a regular basis. It’s a small place that delivers consistently good food everytime you go there. When we go there we find ourselves spending a few hours just relaxing and chatting with the staff. A fantastic place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Cheers to Cinch
