Don’t go to this bar. Rude service and employees who don’t understand customer service is their job. Mark a bartender at this place abrasive pushed myself and a friend of mine to move out of the«service area». The bar was dead!!! There was maybe 15 ppl in there and I brought a group of 12 ppl all of which who understand service and tip well. Mark should be fired. Customer service 101. Take care of ur customers. Horrible place, don’t ever go there

This is a nice place with a decent patio. Food is pricey, but it makes up for itself by being better than The Score’s food. Wings came out nice and crisp, but not steaming hot. My friend had a chicken sandwich and he rated it 4 out of 5.

I like this place. It’s got a nice, cozy feeling because it’s not overly huge and the music they play here at junction is fun and easy to dance to. The DJ s know how to play to the audience and take requests. The entrance fee is only $ 5 which is WAY better than paying $ 25 at other clubs down the street. I just like the vibe at junction better as well. It seems like people are there to have fun as opposed to showing off. It’s my favourite club in Vancouver.

The service was good, but a shot was $ 14! Insane. We were told liquor is just expensive in canada in general… Noted and won’t drink it at bars from now on. Other than that, good place to hang out.

Sweet place to dance the night away. Spacious dance floors with awesome music and good people all around. Dancing on the stage with friends to Spice Girls’ «Wannabe» was the highlight of our night. Wait wasn’t long to get in and the club was full of fun and friendly people.

Went to «The Junction» in August of 2013. Loved the ambience of the place during its quieter portion of the evening. The bartender, whom was extremely friendly, made a super awesome drink that tasted just like SweeTarts candies. Loved it, will stop in again when in Vancouver.

Fake line ups a waste of time!!! Waited in line for an hour before getting into a half empty bar! Vancouver is need of a good club!

Never eaten here but I would never based on the menu, sounds like it’s all frozen garbage; I have been here later in the evening when they start ripping off customers on drinks and taking tips that they don’t deserve. If I order two double vodka and soda’s I expect to be served two ounces of vodka per drink and not watch the blonde female bartender pour a shot of vodka into the shot glass, tilt the shot glass, pour half of it into the drinks and then top off the shot glass and pour the rest in, serving me 1.5 ounces or less; shady. It was later in the evening but I wasn’t nearly drunk or stupid enough to not notice her ripping me off. Oh, and if I give a bartender a $ 20 on a $ 17 bill expecting to receive my change I expect to get my change so I can determine the tip; the bartender shouldn’t just put my change in the tip jar.

I had a bad experience with the bartender that wears a black hut i could not read his name but this kind of diva or queen should not be working there as a customer service. I went to the bar to buy a Pitcher of Kokanee and I asked can i get a pitcher of Kokanee? and he replied could u say please with a really bad attitude I could have said Please but because I noticed he just wanted to feel super Diva I though I was not being impolite and he refused to serve me, and honestly he was being not nice to other customers, I was having a nice time with my friends until this happened, This place is IN right now and hope it stays that way for a long time, I always think big investments should not be screwed from employees like this.

Ohhhh Junction. Ohhh dirty dirty Junction. I haven’t spent much time at the Junction, just a couple of debaucherous Thursday nights, enough to remember, enough I wish I didn’t remember. I this place has had a number of different names over the years, and I think I’ve spent some time at the last few iterations of the venue, but the Junction is the most recent. I think it boils down to, it’s okay. It’s nothing to write home about, it’s a pretty big space which is nice when it’s packed, but when it’s empty it feels really empty. I like that there are places to sit and still places to dance without it feeling like you’re too cramped or it’s too smelly/sweaty. I like that there is a big patio so in the summer or at pride you can sit outside and people watch. Dirty Thursdays had no cover. I’ve only been on Thursdays so I can’t speak for other nights, but no cover is nice. The drinks aren’t cheap, and they don’t have a great selection but I didn’t expect anything more. The staff are nice, the washrooms are dingy, it’s a great place to dance. End of Story(review).

Awful awful awful. Avoid at all costs. Go buy the food at Costco, and the staff is awful. Terrible addition to a great Davie St.

This place has changed its name THREETIMES within 1 year… Really pissed me off a bit due to the fact that it closes down before the special event weekends(Halloween, Gay Pride, and Summer Holiday). Now the Junction has been here for almost a year now, lets hope they stay that way for a while now… please. Anyways, onto the review… This place is really pumping with really good top 40s remix music. Typical, club within the city, nothing special there… The DJs are mostly gay, except for 1 that I know who is not. LOL. The place is a perfect size for a club, and of course the gay community is always friendly. Now, only thing I didn’t like was that the bar tenders are not really that attentive with people on the floor. They just sing and dance without taking orders. kinda weird… You are bar tenders, not Go Go dancers… The décor is so plain here, like any typical club, nothing really stands out in this club as a gay club though except for the location and the music. Junction though has one of the best gay people ever though. It is a mix of ages, and types of gays, so it is not that judgmental, and not as many straight people here either. Except for a couple of fag hags, and a few couples that come here… I do like the Junction, but it really doesn’t deserve a 4 star, but a 3.5. I will round down because I would go to Celebrities after just to have an amazing time with my drag queens. :P

I’ve only really gone dancing at one place in Vancouver so far but I’ve always had a great time at Junction. The place is busy but not so crowded that you can’t find a spot. The music is usually super cheesy top-40 dance mix music but it’s easy to dance to. I have no idea if they have a good booze selection cause I usually go in with a group and order a pitcher of beer. If you go, try to get there before 11 on friday or saturday cause the place fills up and the line moves SLOW.

With the closing of Vancouver’s iconic gay club Odyssey, Junction absorbed a good chunk of the staff and late-night business from it’s now homeless former neighbour. If only it deserved that crowd. It’s been getting busy after 1am lately for 2 reasons: #1 The capacity is low and half the room is taken up by tables, and #2 there’s literally nowhere else to go in Vancouver now. I’ve given it a few chances on different nights, and I know they’re trying hard but it always feels crowded and tiny and like a bad attempt at a mini-Odyssey – which you can’t do. Ever. Hopeing the O reopens soon so there’s some real choice in the city and all these little places will remember how to do business.

Drinks are too expensive. I tried to find ONE thing on the menu which could be fresh, and I COULDNOTFINDONETHING. Pretty sure it’s all Costco and nuked or fried. I actually told the manager about Unilocal and told him to look at it regularly and take it to heart, as this is what the customer REALLY feels about the business. Are you reading now?

One star for décor and one star Tuesday night showing of Glee. Drag Queen less than mediocre and knew nothing of the show or how to entertain. Service was terrible. Originally came for dinner. The waiter came up to me and asked if I needed anything 45 minutes after I walked in. Not sure of the«scene» in Vancouver but if it’s anything like this I am sorely disappointed.

Oh dear. What will happen to this place next? I used to love the Bingo for Life(aids charity) nights back when it was the Majestic, or the island beach parties(with real sand!) when it was Pulse. I don’t go there much these days but I really can’t complain about«the Junction»… I play pool, have a couple drinks and don’t stay too long. The end.

Pulse, Majestic, or whatever the heck it’s called now really needs to stop changing names. I’m not sure if it’s getting bought out every time its reinventing itself, nor do I really care. I just wish I knew what to expect everytime I went in there, since everytime I do it has a different name. Perhaps the club itself needs to do more advertising of what it has going on when it does change it’s name, so you don’t show up for an 80’s party dressed like a fool when it’s top 40 night. Eeek! How embarrassing! I have had a good Friday night in there dancing to the tunes of Michael Venus and DJ Pandemonium, unfortunately that was a one time gig. Tthe last time I was in there for some after work drinks on a Friday the music was ridden with so many out-dated pop hits I wasn’t sure if I had stepped into a teleporter that took me back to 1991 or what? I was so scared! I think what this place needs is someone like Michael Venus to be more than just a DJ, and to start putting on special events that will help drag people in. Hello friends, the Odyssey will eventually be closing and Celebrities has become a born again straight factory so let’s get to work on having a new home where the queers can all roam!
