Love Timmys. Finally it reopened after a flood happened from upstairs. They were close for at least 3 months. Because I live so close, I like walking out to grab a few donuts and walk back home. This place opens 24 hours. Free wifi and yes lots of students because its close to UBC. Love coming here.

It was late and I finally caved last week and sucked it up and got some Tim’s. The reason is that I was having a blood sugar low, however, having the low would’ve been better. Maybe it was my intolerance for overly sweet things as of late but my donut made me sick. Here is where it wins at least 3 stars, the staff were awesome and didn’t make me feel bad about the need to vomit after the donut and even made me some hot water to sooth the tummy. Thanks.

The washroom and entry smell like an alley way. I’ve been there twice in a two week period and told them to santize and clean their washrooms while showing the employee what it is smells like — she backed away in disgust. They don’t do anything about it! I have found that most Tim Horton’s washrooms smell really bad no matter what the location — north vancouver to vancouver — all smell like pee.

Like any Tim Horton’s this one is a typical Timmy’s. Great consistency, good coffee and decent donuts. It’s the only one here for many kilometers and open early. There’s not much more I can say about this Timmy’s.

I usually make breakfast at home. But when I don’t have time or am running late in the mornings, I’ll do a quick run into this Tim Horton’s. I usually get pretty good service. Quick and efficient. But twice now I’ve gone in and had the same girl mess up my order. And it’s not a hard it complicated order either. I just get a vanilla-berry yogurt and plain sundried-tomato bagel(which by the way is really good). So as I stand there and wait for my order, the girl hands me my bag goodies. Me, being in a rush, I didn’t think to check my order to see if everything was in there. Let’s just say, don’t assume. Even if they hand you the bag, don’t assume it’s all in there. Because my bagel was missing. I had driven a few blocks before I realized how light the bag was, checked, and sure enough, I was missing my bagel. I’m just glad that I didn’t drive all the way to work before finding my bag was missing half of its contents. A different girl whom I spoke to when I went back was very sweet. Apologetic for the mishap and got my bagel for me ASAP. Although I may have been partly at fault for not checking before I left, the girl shouldn’t have handed me my goods before dbl checking that everything is in there. I’d obviously go again. I’d just be more careful next time.

Will be nice if the servers are using latex gloves when handling food and point of sale terminal at the same time period without washing there hands, bacteria is not good for any of us… have notice all that a few days ago and was not very happy. maybe the kids that handle cash should be doing just that and have someone else pickup the pastries.

Fast, polite and yummy. This will describe most Tim Hortons I go to. If not… there is gonna be a hurt *shakes fist* They made me wait for my steeped tea but that was because the barista felt that the tea sat there too long and a fresh pot needed to be made. I enjoyed her honesty and was ok with the wait. Sigh…good ol Timmies. Down with Starbucks! haha

Today I watched the barista pick up a Japanese customer. It was somewhat amusing, but he succeeded. Other than that, this location still has no Wi-Fi. Come on Timmy’s, get with the times. People are going to go to Waves instead if you can’t provide this.

I first came here for breakfast and coffee with my son, when he was still in school and a young impressionable young man. We’d come here twice or three times a week for his double double coffee and mine with two creams. Both mediums to go and a breakfast sandwich now and then. Timmies is not just about hockey, doughnuts and coffee. it’s about memories, conversations, and coffee and doughnuts. It’s amazing how this franchise has changed the way coffee people drink their morning habits. What did we ever do before they were here? oh. Starbucks. But that’s another story. Still I prefer the coffee at Timmies. It’s always fresh, not harsh and reliable. And I no longer have to travel to Toronto to get my fix.
