I definitely feel nourished. Breakfast of organic chicken bone broth, two beautifully free range poached eggs, gluten free sesame bread, and more. We’ll be back tomorrow!

Farm to table deliciousness! We had the eggs benny with cashew harissa hollandaise and the carrot soup. It was great. We also had two glasses of bubbles, which were cold and crisp – the perfect pairing to the meal and the warm afternoon. The restaurant itself is super charming. An old home restored and inviting, which spills from the inside onto a lovely patio with seating.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Our server was rude and abrupt though. I might give it another try but hope for a better server. The host was amazing! And the other staff were super sweet. Would have given 5 stars otherwise. The person who served us needs to be trained on customer service big time. She spoke way too fast and seemed like she was annoyed to answer my questions about the bone broth on their menu, which I was super excited to try and was the main reason for my trip in(delicious btw!). Our meals came and my child’s meal didn’t come out. After 4 – 5 mins of us sitting there waiting and our server nowhere in sight, our food was getting cold and my little one was getting cranky for his food, so I politely asked another server where my child’s order was, this other girl was lovely and ran to get our server. Our server FINALLY comes out from the back and very rudely said because we got my kiddo a half-order meal it was added to my plate… I’m still confused by that. She pointed to my plate and said«it’s right there on your plate». I had never eaten there before and had no idea how my meal would look. I had no warning that this is how it would come out. She basically shamed me, and after she said that I still had to ask her for a side plate. She turned around without saying anything and got one from the serving station, plunked it down with a bang in front of my toddler and with out saying a word she walked away. She also didn’t do a quality check to see how our food was until we were finished eating… I had to ask another server AGAIN for maple syrup. This individual showed me some of the worst serving I’ve EVER seen.

Nice, mellow choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t be deterred by their gluten free thing. It all tastes great.

Nourish is a gorgeous space, and the food is beautiful as well. Most importantly, it tastes fabulous and there is plenty on the menu for vegetarian and/or gluten free folks. Service was attentive, and the dinner portion was very generous. The dessert didn’t blow my mind but was pretty good. Also some really pleasant seating for the café on the second floor.

The two stars is really just because of the service. Food is more like a four or five. Went for brunch. Were ‘forgotten’ about for a while because our server had to leave the restaurant apparently and no one took over for her. Service was extremely slow after that, they forgot to bring my husband’s toast, and then offered to bring him some with jam which also never showed up. When we went back inside looking to get our bill after waiting 20mins for the toast and jam, the server who had taken our orders actually forgot who we were and treated us like new customers, asking how many in our party! Really disappointing because the food is very good. So I guess if you can deal with the extreme disorganization re: service then try it…

Well, that was a perfect Saturday brunch meal and I’m super energized now to go explore Victoria on foot. The innkeeper at the lovely Marco Polo B&B recommended I try Nourish and I couldn’t be happier. As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I crave fresh, healthy, creative food and Nourish delivers. I’ll be back tomorrow for lunch to try more things. I had the beef bone broth with chili oil sprinkled on top; the Kef’n It Real fizzy beverage; and the insane and gluten-free oatmeal pancakes with Apple compote and fresh whipped cream and maple syrup. I wish I had another stomach to try more of the savory things. Service was super friendly and the restaurant, in a beautifully restored Victorian near the water, is the cutest thing ever. Go here. Bring an extra stomach.

While walking along the harbor, my boyfriend and I happened to stumble upon Nourish. After noticing it was a converted house café, we had to stop in. This place is so idyllic, that the moment you walk in, you’re at ease. The atmosphere, alone, is worth a visit. I only had tea, so I can’t comment on the food. The tea was fantastic, and came in an adorable tea set(of course). The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I wish I lived in Victoria, so I could spend more time here.

Fantastic, love everything about this place. Except, when upselling, be honest. Don’t say«Do you do bacon or sausage?» implying that the only question is whether you want bacon or sausage; the question is «are you aware that there is an option that costs money that involves bacon or sausage?» Also, servers should come by at SOME point before your plate is completely empty to ask how things are. I’m embarrassed sometimes at the lack of service when I come to a restaurant alone.

Pass on this restaurant if you want to hold an event, party of any kind. The amount and taste of the food served at a large party I attended, was frankly awful. I was embarrassed for my friend who was the focus of the event. I know she and most of her friends and colleagues are real foodies and everyone was shocked! They have likely lost many potential customers due to how unimpressed every guest was with the food. The amounts served were almost a joke, and not inspiring in any way. Maybe young restaurant owners don’t take pride in their image?

I had pretty high hopes for Nourish, for two reasons– For one, I had been hearing a lot of good things about the quality of food they served. Secondly, while walking by the restaurant I noticed their chalk board sign where, «Best Bennies in Canada” — Oprah W. was written. On the flip side there was another quote from Oprah stating her love for the«Dirty Chai» drink. There was actually a crowd of women around the sign– talking about when Oprah was last visiting Victoria and how they must give the restaurant a try. While Nourish did use high quality ingredients, overall the brunch dishes were slightly disappointing. The Normal Breakfast served up a fennel sausage among a strange assortment of flavours, it really did not work. The Benny in the Moment was a very good dish, but nothing too exciting. For the price you pay for these two dishes, you might hope for a little more. The Benny in the Moment tasted like a really good home cooked meal, while the Normal Breakfast is something I would never recommended making or ordering. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. But, Oprah has never visited. The staff thought the chalk board was a funny thing to do, too bad most people thought they were telling the truth. Is that funny?

My wife and I, visitors to Victoria, came here on the recommendation of and with our Victorian friend… I had the chicken chai broth to start — it was interesting… I love broth and I love soup, but to me, it was interesting as a stand alone drink. As a soup it was phenomenal, but as a drink, I’m not sure it was for me. It is hard for me to eat at some breakfast/brunch places because I don’t eat eggs… Surprisingly, Nourish has quite a selection of «non-egg» options; I didn’t have to have my dreaded«can I substitute the egg for something?» discussion with the server. I had the pesto zucchini salad, and it was phenomenal. I was talking about it for part of the day… It actually inspired my wife and I to purchase a spiralizer to make our own zucchini pasta. My wife absolutely adores this place as well… The farm-to-table food and the décor within the heritage-home style restaurant, are all things that she appreciates. The disappointment for her was that Nourish was not open on the holiday Monday for us to go back.

Nourish is a beautiful restaurant with a good concept and great promise. Unfortunately, its food just doesn’t deliver on the promise. The kitchen(or the chef) needs a reboot. All of the four dinner dishes we tried — two starters and two entreés — were healthy and contained good ingredients but lacked coherence or inspiration. Each dish had elements of a good or satisfying creation but lacked punch, and barely leveraged the inventive possibilities of a primarily vegetarian, primarily raw, but meat inclusive meal. It was as if the chef had simply lost interest in the creative process after choosing excellent ingredients. A disappointment.

This place is so wonderful we came twice in a row. The food is delicious and the service was impeccable. I had the eggs Benny the first day. It was tasty, fresh and filling. I left feeling good and full, rather than weighed down with poor quality food. The waitresses and waiters were attentive and friendly at every moment. They never batted an eye at a question or request and I appreciate that kind of service. My children had the pancakes. Wow! They were delicious!!! The only thing I would say is that if you have a really big eater in your family you need to order more than one entrée. Since Nourish does not use unnecessary«fillers»(carbs) in their meals you could be in need of more. My big eating husband had the Benny and was quite satisfied, but he’ll need to eat again soon. I also had the Rad Thai with chicken and LOVED it! The Canadiano was amazing as well! All in all the food was amazing and our family of 5 was very very happy. Yum!
