I’ve been here way more than I should. I like their beef noodle soup and their sesame chicken. There’s a lot of variety on their menu but most of them are just duplicates with substitution of a meat. In terms of food definitely not bad. Not exactly healthy but there’s a reason I go back here. On the down side paninos is not exactly known for their hygiene… Probably the dirtiest open kitchen in Waterloo. Also they charge 50 cents for each debit transaction. So if you don’t mind gambling on not getting food poisoning and paying a bit extra for convenience give this place a shot. Seriously though you will probably get food poisoning at least once if you’re a regular.

Been here many many times and I usually get the same thing which is the Chicken Rice! I highly recommend if you haven’t been here before. You won’t go wrong with this dish. But if you’re more experienced in the Mandarin cuisines I recommend trying any of there 40+ dishes. It’s pretty authentic food and you can tell the staff is passionate about what they make and want to serve you as authentic as possible food with some Canadian twists to cater to the younger crowds. Like sometimes they serve broccoli with their dishes, instead of some other Chinese green vegetables. Prices are usually under $ 10 for a portion that will fill everybody up(but probably overfill you if you have a small stomach), so great place for a student to cut expenses but still get decent food. When friends are in town and want something quick to eat, I usually recommend this place first. There is also a Mr Panino challenge created by some local students, it’s pretty funny haha:

I think this is the best Chinese food in the strip. You need to try the cumin lamb or cumin pork. The pictures they display does not do this dish justice. Mapao tofu is pretty good too. Other good dishes are the beef and vegetables, curry beef, beef noodle soup, chicken combo(small chunks of battered chicken, in a sweet red sauce with bean sprouts and a egg roll) I got to question their sanitary conditions. I seen one of their cashier handle cash then without washing her hands she started making dumplings — which I had never had. This is why I Gave it a 4.

Big portions for pretty cheap prices. I usually come here for their Shanghai noodles. I really like the fact that they have a big bowl of peanuts and chili oil you can add to your order. Also if you eat in, there’s unlimited rice refills.

They are exceptional at deep-frying food, which i’m really into especially when i’m on a diet. They also have peanuts and chili oil so you can pour more oil into your oil. Excellent choice for for when you’re feeling chubby.

Good place if you’re in a hurry, and don’t want to spend that much money. They make the food very quick which makes me question it sometimes. However, for the price and amount you get I can’t complain. The food itself is about average. My usual dish is the spicy chicken rice. I’ve had their chili chicken before, but it does not compare to real Hakka chili chicken.

[14/20] For the first term I lived on campus and can safely say that I ate here more often than any other place. It’s not special in any way but it’s just consistent. Atmosphere(2⁄5) The place is decently kept but the atmosphere is quite«cheap». Nothing too exciting to see here. Food(7⁄10) The food is consistent and tastes good. I have tried just about every dish that exists here and there are few dishes that I wasn’t keen on eating. They keep a fairly traditional flavor of Beijing style food except for the americanized dishes(lemon chicken, general tao, etc) Service(5⁄5) One thing they do differently is that, they actually cook the food when you order it. They don’t use some ladle to scoop it out of a trough, they actually fry, boil, or cook whatever you order. Also the place is extremely efficient for orders. Never taking more than 10 – 15 min of my time. Overall — If your looking for a fast, cooked, cheap Asian meal, not from a large metal bucket, this is the place for you.

I’m a huge fan of this place, it’s my go-to place for Chinese food on the go, although they do have free rice refills if you dine in(which you can scoop some in your take out box if you got take out). My personal favorite is the spicy eggplant, which actually isn’t very spicy. It comes in a really nice sauce that you almost need to mix your eggplant with extra rice because it’s so saucy. It’s so good that my friends who hated eggplant agreed it was awesome. Another good dish is the ma po tofu, I don’t think it’s as good as the eggplant but it’s still really good. Overall, if you’re unsure what to pick, they always have photos of their better dishes posted.

Cheap chinese food. Best bang for buck as you get a lot of quantity for what you pay especially the rice dishes. But it must be really cheap as they give you unlimited rice.

Heard my order wrong… TWICE. First time I ordered Curry chicken, they gave me Kung Pao Chicken, I didn’t accept the order and asked them to give me curry chicken, they just poured some curry over the kung pao chicken and gave it to me -.- Second time I ordered Zha Jiang Mien(Noodle with pork, cucumber slices and sauce), I got Chicken Noodle soup, SERIOUSLY? Otherwise food is ok ad price is ok.

Despite the name containing the word Panino, this is a Chinese restaurant that does not sell that type of sandwich. What they do sell is cheap Chinese food at OK prices. What I don’t like is the fact that the food is really greasy and salty here… not my favourite place, but I do drop in when others in the group want to eat here. Standard items include the Shanghai Fried Noodle and the Spicy Eggplant.
