Always delicious sushi, great service for an al you can eat place, happy staff, and good ambiance. I’m still loving the sashimi, I find it’s the best sashimi I’ve ever had at an all you can eat place.

Good comfortable seating friendly staff, good portions. There are standard sushi options and the ambiance is good. Good quality sashimi

Overall, our experience was terrible. When we arrived in the restaurant, no one was there to seat us. Even though the restaurant was empty, I had to hunt down a waitress to help seat us. Once we were seated, we started ordering. I asked if the«white tuna» here was butter fish(I didn’t like butter fish). The waitress assured us that it wasn’t. However, once the sushi showed up, it was in fact butter fish. The rice in the sushi was still warm and the fish was not fresh(disgusting). We ordered a chicken & egg don and soba noodles as well. The chicken & egg don was disgusting. The egg was still raw/liquid-like and the rice was all watery. Instead of giving us soba noodles, they gave us ramen noodles. In general, this place was not only poor value for money, but the food was barely edible. For AYCE, I recommend checking out Yummyaki. For the same price you get much better quality sushi ands service. For a la cart, I recommend Watami.

One of the best AYCE sushi in KW. They have different variations of sushi and rolls. Their sushi are well made and taste pretty good.

I have been going here for a few years now. In my opinion it is the best sushi restaurant in Waterloo as far as all you can eat goes. As far as a-la-carte goes, it would be second best to Watami. My most ordered item would be their Maki Set for take out: shrimp tempura roll, spicy salmon roll, and california roll. Comes with salad and miso soup for $ 13. Always consistently fresh and well-rolled. The most important part of sushi is the rice. This place has AMAZING rice that they use in their rolls. You can really taste the seasoning. I hate paying a lot of money for sushi and have the rice be tasteless. This place nails it. I honestly have no gripes with this restaurant. Also, for take-out, they have $ 1 nigiri sushi(also includes bbq eel). Solid deals to be had if you explore their menu.

The food is okay – the sushi(salmon, tuna) doesn’t taste like much and the cooked food is meh. We came starving so we were eager to order and try a lot of the menu items, but nothing was spectacular so it felt more of a chore to finish everything. I remember trying the skewers(dry), wings(good), sesame chicken(good), tempura(meh). Sushi rolls were okay if they had the crispy or spicy mayo – helped add flavor. The service was bad even though we came before the lunch rush on a Sunday. I was with a group of friends and we were obviously done with eating but the servers kept bringing us plates we didn’t order, so we kept having to send it back. Still on a mission to find a decent AYCE sushi spot in KW.

The best quality you can expect from an all you can eat sushi place in Waterloo.(I’ve tried them all!) Usually the service is pretty quick and accurate. The servers are much more polite than at Sushi 99, for example.

Great dinner all you can eat sushi place, amazing renovations great ambiance and atmosphere. Very relaxed and casual for a popular all you can eat sushi spot. Great udon soup on the dinner menu, as well as their teppenyaki steak bits, that aren’t called that but I can’t remember the exact name so that description will have to do, but I really recommend them nonetheless. Probably the best sushi place in Waterloo with Sushi 99 near conestoga mall coming in a close 2nd as their lunch menu is much larger than o’yummys. Also another thing when they get really busy which they tend to do around dinner time the servers tend to forget 1 to 2 items you ordered. Food comes out really fast though even when they are really busy which is why they are my favorite all you can eat sushi spot in Waterloo… for dinner!

Came here for weekend dinner. I’m giving a 2-star rating because while the food was decent, the service was poor. Food: Their special rolls were excellent. Would highly recommend the o-yummy and crystal rolls. They have some other unique items you rarely see at an AYCE restaurant including squid sashimi and oddly, Stawberry Ice Cream. Everything else was would you would expect from an AYCE restaurant. Service: They took a long time to fill our orders. It over 3 hours to finish our meal — a lot of it was spent just sitting and waiting for our food to come! Not only that, but we would consistently only get about half of the items we wrote down in our orders.

The kitchen fare was pretty well done as well. The first KWAYCE that features Cheese Wontons. While not as good as Downtown Toronto’s Aji Sai, it’s still worth a try. Not that anybody actually gets Fried Rice at an AYCE Sushi establishment, but theirs is pretty oily, tasty, but still pretty oily. The Sushi Pizza-my favourite-is pretty good. Their rice patty is quite thick, but if you don’t mind, the taste is still worth it. I don’t suggest the Spicy Salmon Pizza as they use their Spicy Salmon mixture, which has Tempura Bits in it, imagine tempura bits on the crispy fried rice patty; too much grain for my liking. Their Beef Short Ribs had a nice flavour, slightly sweet, but still tasting the savouriness of the sesame oil. The only issue I found is that a lot of the pieces they give you are majority fat. I also found their Pork Katsu(Pork Cutlet) to be a little dry. The rest of the kitchen fare is pretty standard, and nothing worth mentioning. Chicken Katsu Now on to desserts. The only AYCE in the KW area that I’ve been to with Strawberry ice cream(not that not having strawberry ice cream is a deal breaker, I thought it was just worth a mention). I also thoroughly enjoyed their Deep Fried Ice Cream-the ice cream scoop was still in tact and the outside was nice and crispy. The only other AYCE that featured this had something that looked like a puddle of practically melted ice cream, sloppily topped off with the tempura«coating»(I won’t mention the name, but I have only been there once). The last little star is their Sugar Ball, you would imagine something along the lines of deep fried glutinous rice rolled in sugar, but no, it’s cake-like, almost like a Timbit, and it’s one small bite of deliciousness. While the name is rather odd, and not remotely close to being Japanese, the restaurant is certainly a hidden gem-literally. Having to journey out into the outskirts of Waterloo, the restaurant is worth a try for AYCE-lovers. While the lunch menu lacks certain Specialty Rolls that many places offer, it boasts other items that other do not, and do so with in a beautiful and tasty manner. Because of its far-off location, I can’t say that O’Yummy has become my go-to place, but certainly reaches high up on my list.

So far the best ayce in Waterloo. However, they have been closed for a while now due to no heat. So call ahead.

Terrible service is unfortunately the only thing I was able to take away from my sushi experience last night. We were with a party of 10 and practically none of our food came after being there for several hours and asking multiple times when we could expect it. I had to order 2 rolls on 3 separate sheets. They had problems bringing the right amount of water to our table. Eventually someone from our group started going to the kitchen and getting our food. The food we did get was just OK. Everything is covered in mayo unfortunately. I wouldn’t come back here. The ONLY redeeming quality about this place is the deep fried ice cream. The staff didn’t bother to fix the toilet issue so no one could use the men’s washroom. The décor is fine, the staff are not around and the food is really only meh considering the rice barely sticks together and is incredibly sweet. Pass.

A friend of mine took me to this restaurant for dinner yesterday. There is a fair selection to choose from. The teppenyaki items were great(mushroom, egg plant and sweet potato). Be sure to ask the size of some of these orders as I ordered 2 curry chicken and 2 curry pork. One each would have been sufficient. More pictures on the menu may have helped with this. Some minor things were that we were asked if we wanted cake too many times(6+) and when our food came, the server took my plate away. I had to ask for it back. Normally people eat off of plates right?

I have been a regular at this place for almost a year now. Here are the pros and cons: I love… — the décor and the cleanliness of the place — the speedy service — 10% cash discount — the fact that they do not automatically add 15% service fee to your bill without telling you(seems like all the other AYCE places are doing it nowadays!) — great selection and taste of food(highly recommend the teppenyaki items) Problem is sometimes the servers group chat and are not very tentative to the customers(usually when the owner is not around: S)

The location is somewhat obscure, literally near the edge of the city near The Boardwalk. The good thing is I live along Keats Way, so it’s only about a 5 minute bus ride to the restaurant. I came for lunch, therefore were unable to have the sashimi. We had the squid sushi, which in my opinion was one of the best I’ve seen for an AYCE place. The salmon rose was also quite good and presented nicely, while the tempura was nothing special. The tobiko maki was probably the biggest disappointment, as I’m used to the bigger and crunchier fish roe in the rolls, cucumber/surf clam roll was average as well as the squid roll. Service was poor as we had to wave the waitresses over consistently. Also, despite the fact the drinks are listed in the menu, an extra $ 1.00 is charged for them, which I didn’t know until I went up to pay. Seriously? If they told me earlier I would’ve settled for the free tea.

My favourite ayce sushi in waterloo :) They don’t overdo the rice when making the rolls like other places I’ve been to. I love their octupus and rose sashimi! Variety of selection to choose from too. Recommended!

Food: For the quality that you would expect in waterloo from an all you can eat place, this place serves a better selection of food. They have ikura(salmon roe), squid and octopus which you won’t find at Ye’s or Sushi 99.

The food was pretty good for AYCE, but the service last Saturday evening was terrible. We had to talk them into honouring our reservation and then were asked to move tables twice. We refused to move the second time, as we had just moved our drinks, coats, etc. and didn’t feel like being shuttled around again. After the first move, our order was lost into the ether and we didn’t get any food for nearly half an hour. I had much better service during a weekday lunch, but was put off by the shoddy weekend treatment and won’t be back.

There aren’t many people here due to its obscure location, but this place definitely has tons of potentials. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. There are more sushi and roll options on the lunch menu compared to Ye’s or Sushi 99. And dinner menu is great! There are more unique and westernized rolls here. I love the salmon rose, it is very creative. There are also more appetizer and dessert items. The restaurant is clean and well formatted. The staff are friendly and attentive. But they made lots of mistakes in the food orders during my visits, maybe due to the fact that the place is relatively new.

C’mon, it’s not that bad! We went as a family of 7 so we had a lot of variety. The sashimi was fine(salmon the best), the sushi and maki are both fine. I’m glad they don’t pack the rice so tight that you feel like you’re eating bullets-a small attempt to make you full fast. I found the hot items were better than the raw items. The salmon belly and grilled mackarel were the two best items we had that night. Service was good, price was average for AYCE, so I’ll be coming back!
