Fantastic service and good quality food. They have a ping pong table, a fussball, and an air hockey table to keep the kiddos busy. Menu is a bit pricey but not too much. Kids 4 and under eat free plenty of food on kids menu. Super awesome staff. We were served by an Aussie waitress and she was super helpful and kind.

Fifty Two 80 Bistro is the Four Season’s restaurant/lounge that is conveniently located in the hotel. It has a bar feel and is a comfortable spot to get a drink après ski. My Overall Rating — 3 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Fifty Two 80 Bistro feels more like a bar/lounge than a bistro, at least during lunch. You’ll find comfortable seats/sofas along with some high barstools. It has a laid back/seat yourself vibe. The word relaxing comes to mind as it’s an inviting place après ski. 1 Star. Service — We stopped by for a lunch, and they weren’t very busy. While our server was quite friendly, she did disappear on us once our meal was out. Not a big deal since we didn’t have any additional request, but odd since it wasn’t busy. We assumed she was on break, but since this is the Four Seasons, we expected at least one drop in before the bill. ½ Star. Food — It’s mainly a bar menu that’s par for the course. Their stone breads are like flat b read pizzas and were good. Their seafood chowder lacked spice, but it had tons of huge chucks of everything, from oysters, crab, and shrimp. We were satisfied but not impressed. Prices were on par with hotel restaurants, so it’s not cheap. But it was certainly a good meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? — Yes… with a big asterisk. If I stay at the Four Seasons, no question I would go again. If not for the lunch, perhaps breakfast or a drink. But would I make this a destination if I stayed somewhere else? Unfortunately not. It’s a good option for hotel guests, but that’s it. ½ Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score

Had an amazing experience here. Nice selection of wine & champagne bottles. The best part here was the service we got from Elle! What a sweetheart she is, I wish all the four seasons staff had her hospitality and service skills. As for the eatery they have a really nice selection of bites, we liked everything we ordered! Few of them are posted. Definitely worth checking out for a late night bite and drinks!

Came up with my dear for a good sit-down lunch, was thinking Sidecut, but they were closed so the next best altenative was to sit at the place you have to walk through to get to the restaurant we wanted to go to. As many were already sitting outside, on this wonderful summer day, we found a table, near the entrance to the main lounge area. We were quickly greeted by our server, I think his name was Joey, who asked for our names, and everytime he came by the table he would refer to us as Mr. and Mrs., classy I do say. This bistro is enclosed on the Four Seasons property, not as accesible as the one at the Fairmont, so you won’t see many of the stragglers walking around right in front of you like you would at other hotel properties up in Whistler, there is a sense of privacy, calmness, which is sometimes needed as Whistler is a tourist trap, good thing there are places like this around. So we sat, under a big umbrella over our table, to cover some of those powerful rays, they brought over some popcorn in a small bowl(I guess this is a replacement for the nuts?) and presented us the menus. We decided on two nice fruity alcohlic drinks, one with a lychee on top(nice weather, tropical feel?). and the other was a berry variety. Our table constantly had two glasses of cold water filled and the cutlery was tucked nicely in the hand napkins. We did order food on our visit, and picked out their New York cut steak, served with salad on the side and also cremed spinach. Cooked, rare, we shared this steak, and the server, without even asking, brought two plates out and an extra cutting knife. The steak was prepared perfectly, I bet they were using the Sidecut in-house rubs, right down to the very end, sometimes you get to the end of a steak, it gets dry, not this thing, every bite, mouthwatering, even the fats in it, every bite, pure goodness. Served with a little sauce on the side, you really didn’t need it, sure the steak isn’t cheap, but I wouldn’t say it was crazy expensive too, with the fresh greens on the side, and the creamy spinach, it was balanced, but also enough for me and my dear on this day. Our server came by a few times to check up on us, and still always curtiously always went by Mr. and Mrs. with the surname, quite impressed, but I guess this is the Four Seasons afterall. At the end of the meal when we asked for the bill, we had some credit from a prior visit we had not used, and we gave it to them, they eventually came back, with a small receipt on top of our card showing how much was on the card. We didn’t know if they charged the card or not, and they did not, as they wanted to know what we wanted to do with this balance, to put all of it on the card, or use a partial portion. I find this very respectful, and also not assuming things on their end. For the drinks, the food, and the service, this one is a winner, and the next time I come back to Whistler and need somewhere quiet and relaxing, I’d come again.

While staying at the Four Seasons for a family vacation, I ate here a lot for lunch and dinner. Both the lunch and dinner was flawless and was perfect for an after-ski meal! Very cozy and warm. I would recommend!

Warm and cozy, this bar and bistro is exactly what you want in relaxing Whistler. I ordered a «Stonebread» Beef Carpaccio pizza style flatbread which(in my case was gluten free) A crispy crust pie with fresh yum on top. There are 4 or so choices of Pizza. Also on offer are gluten free beverages. I ordered a Pear Cider. Friends ordered the burger which is a cruise ship. No really. SHARE this baby or you’ll fall into a food coma and nap the rest of the day or night. They are GINORMOUS, and look wayyy better than my gluten free option and almost brought me to tears. The burger comes with beautiful fries served paper wrapped in a stainless cone cup. Lovely! The service is relaxed and friendly. You can go dressed as you are and not worry about being judged or treated in any less of a way than any other paying guest. The over-sized leather chairs and low light accentuating the stone walls make for a memorable dining and drinking experience.

I had lunch and breakfast and it was surprisingly very good. The menu is limited but very tasty. The breakfast was really good too.

this review is for the thursday night bbq. tonight was my 2nd visit to the four seasons bbq. the first time was amazing — great service, HUGE spread, good food. tonight shouldn’t even deserve 2 stars, but i’ll give it that because of the first experience. tonight… we walked in, asked a waitress for a table outside, but she said to go inside and see the hostess. so we went inside to the hostess stand and spoke to the girl standing there. she said to just go back outside and take the table that had just become available. she didn’t offer to show us to the table, and when i mentioned that the table hadn’t been cleared yet, she said it doesn’t matter, just sit down. soooo we did. then the server came up to us again and said theres a waiting list and blah blah blah. basically, they were so damn unorganized that the staff just kept sending us in circles until we finally gave up and sat ourselves inside. the service inside was a disaster as well. we were halfway through our 2nd plate of food before our pitcher of beer finally arrived. the useless manager on duty couldn’t be bothered by our predicament when my boyfriend tried to explain his discontent. the manager just gave us a bunch of excuses. since our last visit, they cut down the size of the buffet by about 75%. last month, there were at least 6 different salads and a few more sides. today there was only one green salad, one potato salad, and one fruit salad. so disappointing. the food itself is so inconsistent. one piece of steak is amazing, one piece is tough and undercooked. one piece of shortribs is perfect, the sausage is raw inside. the suckling pig is exceptionally delicious, but the sides are generally underseasoned and bland. also, the«seafood paella» was ONLY very hard rice and mushrooms. what a travesty.

This review is for the breakfast buffet. Our family ate here twice during our stay and both times it was great. Priced at $ 29CAD per adult, with kids under 5 free, it was a great deal considering we paid much more for breakfast at another casual bakery place outside of this resort. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and prepared just right. I loved the bacon and pork sausages, and they even had a made to order omelette bar. The fresh fruit was very tasty. They also had the usual assortment of pastries, cheese/crackers, smoked salmon, bagels, cereals, and oatmeal. We didn’t get tired of the food, and could have eaten here every morning. The juices were awesome and tasted very fresh. Now this place knows how to prepare an awesome breakfast buffet.

This review is just for the bar. It’s great ambiance, and you feel relaxed there. great. but the negatives: there are no views(you’re in whistler with beauty everywhere and you put the bar/restaurant in the basement? I don’t mind paying $ 20 for a drink, but when I do, it better be good. My wife ordered some berry drink that was tiny and 90% ice. and nothing unique or distinctive about it. Compare that to the river rock café that served us amazing cocktails along side brilliant food. Unfortunately, i wouldn’t come back

We ate at this restaurant a few times. Tuesday nights in the bar they have half price bottles of wine, we were able to get ours in the dining room which was great. We started with a very blah heirloom tomato dish, however, both our entrees were delicious and generous portions. We finished with the Apple pie with multiple ice cream which was great. Another evening we ate off the bar menu. The seafood sampler was not the best. Considering every other dish we got was huge, this one was pretty skimpy. We also did the breakfast in the morning which was fantastic. The buffet had so much stuff, it was delicious.

Perhaps it was because I had just spent a day at the spa but the ambiance in this place made me feel warm, cozy, and relaxed(think dark wood, leather seating, dim lighting). Our group of four parked ourselves in the bar section at a table near a fireplace. We arrived right before dinnertime but waited patiently to order food with beverages in hand and a live band to entertain us. The cocktails were well-made and the food options were plentiful. Bar menu came with the standards like burgers and pulled pork yumminess, but my girlfriend and I ended up sharing a rib-eye from the main menu. High quality cuts of meat with your choice of rub. They also bring out six various sauces to compliment the steaks, making for a nice variety of flavors. The table shared some sides including fries, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese. Highly recommend them all. A bit pricey, but you are dining at the Four Seasons.

Went here a few years ago with my family and everything was great. All of the food was nicely prepared and service was friendly and punctual. Our water glasses were always kept from getting empty. I have to thank Fifty Two 80(the restaurant is named for the amount of vertical height in feet for Blackcomb Mountain) for introducing me to moules et frites(mussels and fries). So delicious! And now whenever I see it on any menu I eat it to compare; needless to say their version was lovely. A nice place to go out for dinner in Whistler when you don’t want to walk all the way to the Village. Ambiance was pleasant, as you might expect from anything in the Four Seasons Hotel.

Great feel, and very homey for what is absolutely the best restaurant in Whistler. The food is top notch, and you cannot miss the lobster stuffed bacon skins. This dish alone is worth the trip to Canada.

I had a delicious warm seafood salad here recently. Lobster, scallops and prawns over lettuce with chive-parmasean dressing and a glass of prosecco. It was divine! I also loved the seafood chowder with a glass of Laughing Stock Chardonnay from the Okinagan and as well as the assorted oysters and cheese plate. Bask in the lovely, delightful atmosphere and fantastically courteous service as you listen to a pleasant variety of soft, soothing music. For more, please visit my blog:

Had a very good meal at Fifty Two 80 and considered a 4 star rating — they had a thoughtfully prepared regular tasting menu and a Thanksgiving-themed tasting menu which was very inventive, offering a butternut squash and lobster soup, a Nova Scotia scallop and caviar appetizer, and a Turkey main course, which was everything one would want from a Thanksgiving dinner. Both menus were priced for the off-season at $ 42 and $ 54 respectively for 4 courses. The service was as expected at a Four Seasons restaurant and the wine list, while marked-up, had a nice by-the-glass selection.
