Best grocery store to shop at if u r staying in Whistler for more than a couple days. They have EVERYTHING you could possible think of. Wide variety of chocolates, veggies, fruit, breads, meats… and the prices are the same as everywhere else. Whistler is an expensive town overall as it has lots of tourists coming through. So of course, the cost of grocery items are more expensive than Vancouver, but it’s nothing that will break your budget.

Nothing special, just another IGA but with about 30% more in price as it is located at a tour-esy area at Whistler. This location looks a bit old-school but not too shabby. Service was not bad. Store is well stocked. There are some sale items at the front of cashiers. Free parking available in lot.

Marketplace IGA has the largest and best selection of groceries in Whistler. We needed a bottle of Dark Agave syrup and some other drink accouterments that we were unable to find at the other grocery stores.

I don’t usually review a marketplace unless there is something quite outstanding about it. It’s the food. Not just some grocery food item. It’s the freshly cooked food department next to the bakery section. I don’t know about the rest but ONE thing I would say it is to die for is their jacket potato filled with lots of gravies, mince meat, salsa and cheese. Oh my flipping days, it is so damn good. I used to have it every single day without fail. My tummy is as happy as a bunny on a hill.

It was fun browsing around this market, looking at all the Canadian products… lots of things we don’t have back home. They also have a bakery, deli & lots of hot foods, as an alternative to eating at a restaurant.
