Sushi chefs are top shelf. Amazing presentation and taste, very efficient and quick service despite being very busy. Service was mediocre. The card machines were down and it was easy to see the stress in the servers when it wasn’t that big of a problem. I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant!

I went for dinner on a quiet weeknight. Quick seating, great service. Spicy agedashi tofu was good, but too much of he same thing for just one person. House roll was amazing. I wish I had been hungrier so I could have tried more.

My fiancé and I came to Sachi Sushi for dinner on our first night in Whistler. We didn’t have to wait and were seated right away. They have a decent sake selection so we ordered a bottle of cold sake to share. For food we had the Hamachi kama(which was not on the menu but we asked the server if they had it and she went to check. Lucky for us, they did!), edamame, spinach gomae, spider roll, a salmon sashimi and some nigiri. The sushi was really fresh. Quality cuts and nice presentation. The spider roll was amazing. My fiancé really liked it a lot. The Hamachi kama was seasoned and grilled perfectly. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back on our next trip to Whistler.

There are probably 3 – 4 different sushi restaurants at Whistler, and the wait was so long at Elements Tapas Bar that we ended up at this place at 9 pm because the wait was only about 10 – 15 minutes. It was pretty late, so I didn’t think our 30 min quoted wait-time was entirely accurate, and was happy when we were seated relatively quickly. The host was really great at answering my questions with one word or one-phrase answers. I think I asked him 4 separate questions and I thought he might kill me by the last one. To save you some trouble, they do take credit cards, and they do have WiFi(you have to ask them for the password). The sushi is pretty reasonably priced at around $ 9-$ 12, and their rolls tend to have a lot more tempura or spicy mayo than most other places. You should be able to find something for everyone — they have rolls, nigiri, sashimi, noodles, meat, tempura. We got the assorted sushi which had 7 pieces of nigiri and 5 pieces of spicy tuna roll and it was all fine. I liked the nigiri better than the spicy tuna roll; there were 7 different types of fish and they were all good, but not necessarily mind-blowing or super memorable. The cupcake roll(6 pieces) was $ 7 or $ 8, and sounded interesting and unique: avocado on the inside with thinly sliced sweet potato tempura, with a dollop of spicy mayo and an edamame for the«cherry on top of the cupcake». It’s a little bit on the gimmicky side. Interesting, but I’d prefer to have sushi with fish, and if I want tempura, then just order tempura separately. Spicy Mini Yosenabe($ 21) — I actually quite liked this and it’s hard to find this type of more traditional Japanese dish at most restaurants. They have a sukiyaki bowl of noodles, a mini yosenabe, and then this spicy yosenabe with seafood, tofu, and vegetables in a spicy soup. The noodles are clear, sweet potato noodles — light, and pairs well with the spicy broth. It’s a great choice for sharing with someone else on a cold winter night in Whistler. I’d recommend this as part of your meal since it’s more filling than some of the sushi you might get, and also nice for a little bit of variety. All in all, a decent place to get sushi in Whistler if you’re craving it. Or just wait until you get to Vancouver for some better, cheaper, and fresher sushi. It was a fine meal, but not something I’d particularly seek out or recommend in Whistler.

Great food and great service! The fish was fresh and very good. I would come back for sure. Prices are pretty steep but they do have a good selection so you aren’t forced to just get rolls.

Wooww… I had an unsuspecting feeling that the sushi in Whistler might be sneaky good… boy was I right. The proximity of the town to the Pacific allows for the fresh fish to come and go from this place. We stayed in Whistler 3 nights and ate here twice. Now, we are not sushi snobs… not in the least bit… but we enjoy good fish. The sushi we had here was on par with the best we have ever had, and living in LA, there are plenty of options. We tried a sampling of the appetizers, including the green salad, dumplings, miso soup and chicken karage. All were very satisfying, although the miso did leave a little to be desired. In regards to the fish, we tried the nigiri and the rolls. Everything we had, including the sockeye salmon and hamachi, which both melted in your mouth like butter, were just so good. There are plenty of dining options in the village, but the fact that this place was literally downstairs from our room and offered such good food fare, we could not pass it up and will def come back!

Fish was so fresh and delicious that soy sauce or wasabi would actually take away from the taste. I ordered two pieces of sockeye salmon nigiri, one toro nigiri, sachi roll and house roll and every bite was like heaven. It was a little pricey, probably twice the cost for the portion, but totally worth it.

Well limited sushi places around… So thats why its always crowded. Sushi sashimi and soups are below average so dont expect it to be worth the stars you see.

Outstanding sushi restaurant, wonderful vibe, perennially busy. The wait staff is very accomodating, and there are also great soups for cold winter days. Of the several Japanese restaurants in or near Whistler village, this one finds itself ranked amongst the very best

Fantastic sushi plus the host had a Motörhead sweater on. You can go to sushi just about anywhere, but fresh fish coupled with Ride The Lightning from Metallica is an experience you won’t forget. Rainbow sushi is an exceptional standout and also highly recommend the spicy scallop roll. According to the sushi expert with me, Pinkerton, it was a standout.

We’ve been here twice and the service was outstanding. Tried the bar and tables. Ordered rainbow roll, Roundhouse roll, unagi sashimi, sea urchin sashimi, Haku roll. Everything was great: fish was fresh, rise soft and not falling apart, taste and aftertastes were rich.

It’s our third time here and everything is still tasty. So far rainbow roll is our favorite. We’ve also tried Haku roll, Roundhouse, urchin nigiri and a couple of other rolls. Have never been disappointed. The place gets busy closer to the evening, but you can find a seat near the bar to watch the chef and the owner cooking.

Although on the higher end in regards to dining out, this is a great place to eat! They have a variety of different Sushi rolls which are all really good. I also ordered a chicken karagee ramen soup and it’s literally noodles and chicken, nothing else for $ 15 or so. It definitely could have some more additional items in the ramen but other then that I wouldn’t mind coming back for the sushi. Keep in mind that during peak times the restaurant can get busy! We came between Christmas and New Years at 4:45 and was the second party lined up for dinner service at 5. Around 4:55, there were maybe 10 parties behind us. The restaurant is quite small so plan ahead if you want to come to this restaurant!

On a quest to find some Japanese food we stumbled across this place. Exterior is welcoming, and a very welcoming and warm entrance. Inside you will see what feels really authentic as the sushi chefs chop and turn away in the centre of the restaurant from an extended kitchen which leads into dining floor to create that feeling. Group of three we ordered some mains and sushi for side. Pork gyoza and chicken kar-age noodle soup was ordered. Food was amazingly delicious and everything came out in somewhat decent timing. Unfortunately we had a really unenthusiastic waiter that was serving us for the night. He made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Very blunt and no care to strike any sort of conversation. And threw us the bill at the end before us even asking for it(or to make sure we are happy/or want to order anything else) This was a very negative experience for me based on that, and then onto the thought to tip was even less appealing. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. Food was good, rest of the waiters seemed nice however we just got hit with the waiter having a bad day. Would not return!

Glen is rude and I will be highly recommending my colleagues to never eat here due to the rude customer service I just experienced over the phone while trying to make a reservation. This was my phone conversation trying to make a dinner reservation: Me: I’d like to know if you have a 6pm time slot available for Sun., 12⁄27? Glen: I can only accommodate 5pm, 7pm, 9pm. Me: Do you have 6pm available for any of the days that week? I’m actually calling on behalf of my executive who will be traveling with his family and they’d like to stick to a 6pm dinner reservation so we would be flexible for any day that you might have 6pm available for. Glen: [Cuts me off] So you’re calling for your boss right? So understand that if I made an exception and put you down for 6pm, my boss will hand it to me. Me: Excuse me? What do you mean by exception? Glen: If I put you down for a 6pm reservation, my boss will hand it to me. Me: I’m sorry, I don’t think I understand. Glen: We only take reservations for 5pm, 7pm, 8pm and all the 7pms are booked that week. Me: So your restaurant doesn’t make 6pm reservations, at all?(Asking in order to understand their reservation system) Glen: Yup. Me: [Shocked at the rude tone and short answer] OK, well, I didn’t understand that was your system which is why I was asking. I guess we will just keep a 5pm reservation. Glen: [Fake Chipper tone] Great! Bye. I just thought 6pm slots were booked. I didn’t think the restaurant, as protocol, didn’t take 6pm reservations at all. That’s what I was trying to get clarity on. I left that phone conversation extremely angry as I don’t believe it needed to be this rude and this difficult considering I was going out of my way to be nice. Not sure what kind of business you’re running but your staff needs better customer service training. Glen was rude enough for me to actively tell people never to eat here.

Delicious! Anyone that has wrote a review based on price shouldn’t count. If you want quality sushi especially in a village like Whistler you have to pay. The fish is fresh, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.

Meh I might be spoiled by the cheap delicious Japanese food from vancouver, therefore this place was meh for me. It was kinda pricy for what it is, and also service was pretty slow. However if you are really craving Japanese food in whistler, this place is still doable

After eating so much rich meaty food in Canada, we just wanted our damn asian broth! We got the beef udon and chicken udon with vegetable and a couple of sashimi to share. Both udon soup dishes really hit out udon spot! The hamachi and sock eye salmon was spot on! The albacore was a miss. In general, Canadian salmon is one of the best so when ever the opportunity arises, get the salmon!!! Nice place for reasonable asian food in whistler.

Who would expect to find good Sushi in a Winter Mountain Resort Town? I honestly don’t want to write this review because I don’t want to share my secret. I don’t want other people to show up and make me wait in line to have to eat at this restaurant, but I also want it to always be around when I go up to Whistler, so a review it is. Seriously, some of the best Sushi I’ve had on the west coast, and I’ve had a lot of sushi. I can’t pinpoint what exactly was good about it but it just was. Best of all the chef(though a quiet man) was very friendly and even handed out some free samples to me when I asked about certain foods.(Could also be because I was there with a regular customer). He gave me some Chawanmushi(Steamed egg(Japanese Quiche)) that was a spare cup made with someone else’s order. Now, I’m Japanese, I grew up with Japanese food, and I don’t really like Chawanmushi. It’s hard to execute well and sometimes the flavors turn out too fishy or too brothy. But as any polite person would, you don’t turn down free food. And OHMYGOD. I seriously was gushing over how delicious this Chawanmushi was. Like it was so damn perfect. The only other chawanmushi that I’ve had that was that good was in Fukuoka Japan, and it was Fugu –chawanmushi. The thing is, if you’re a roll-sushi type person you might not find this place ah-maze-ing. Its probably just good. But if you are someone that appreciates Sashimi, and other more ‘authentic’ Japanese foods you probably will enjoy the dishes offered at this place. I can’t wait for my chance to go back.

Great stuff! We went last night — we got lost getting there but worth the wait. It was busy but the service was efficient, friendly and added to the meal. I am w a 6 yr old who has a pretty good palette– and has been a sushi lover since she was 3. She gives this two thumbs up :)
