The place is the dictionary definition of a dive bar. They have karaōke nights every Friday where it’s fun to watch young men with beer goggles dance with cougars and the 70 year old casanova put the moves on the members of a wayward bachelorette party. The singers are often quite good. Amusing stuff. Beer is cheap and they remember what you normally order even if you come back after four months. Impressive service. Food is disgusting. Nachos are the only thing I trust here, and even they’re bad. Way too greasy. Dive bar stabbiness rating(/5): ***

A great night spot for karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the best singers in the Lower Mainland .and a couple of the worst… but always a great time. In the summer months there’s usually a lineup after 11:00.

a couple of friends and i were out at white rock one day and hungry… this place was right across the street to where we were laying out all day so we figured… why not? it had a patio that got sun, the service was meh(not great but not terrible), the food was ok(the beef dip was actually a lot smaller than i imagined it would be, which was fine for me though), and everything was reasonably priced(not expensive but not super cheap either). «mediocre» and«fine» are probably the best words i can use to describe this joint. i’ve definitely experienced better, but this place wasn’t terrible. oh the cup of clam chowder that came with my sandwich(for two dollars more) was actually pretty good. i remember the menu claiming that they weren’t stingy with the clams… and there sure were a lot of clams in it. so good job for not false advertising. ok, just for that, i’ll give this place another star.

Would you believe Sandpiper Pub was the only place open and serving breakfast at 11am? Isn’t this a community full of old people that dedicate their morning to breakfast foods? The breakfasts are pretty well priced and had just the right amount of grease to cure me of my hangover! The first round of coffee tasted really old but the second was a definite improvement. Service was a little slow but overall it was pretty good.

Stopped in here for lunch on a gloriously sunny February day. Had the reuben sandwich on the patio. Great view onto the beach out there. Enjoyed a couple of beers with the sandwich. Food was delicious. Fries looked deceivingly greasy but once I dug in, extremely tasty. Staff was friendly and the interior was covered with TVs with various sporting events. I could see myself returning here in the evening to enjoy a drink in that atmosphere.

The Sandpiper was mine and my Boyfriend’s first date 5 yrs ago, and we have gone every summer since. It has a great atmosphere, The Halibut and Chips are The Best around. It is located literally across the street from White Rock Beach. We love to sit on the Patio and have our favorite Halibut & Chips and a couple of Ciders, People watching & one of my favorites watching the Harley’s driving by, Many times there can be a line up of Harley’s parked along the beach front. almost like a show and shine. I love to take a stroll and check out the different custom jobs. I have to say that on the Magical category. The Sandpiper gets 5 stars. Because it is a magical place for me. What more can you want? The Beach is literally 10 paces across the road, then you have beautiful beach and water that goes on and on. Last year we attended the Canada Day Celebrations and plan to do the same this year as well. The Sandpiper also hosts regular blues events and Jam sessions. I plan to retire In White Rock one day.
