No good expensive, small portions, better option mariscos el toro guero, it has cool prices!

Great food, good price, good service. The street outside looks a little sketchy, and down the street closer to the marina is downright scary, so we were a little worried about going in, though we were glad we did after we went in :)

3 ½ STARS Party of 12 for dinner… walked from downtown using google map/directions which led us in the wrong direction and we were kindly directed by a local who walked us over to the restaurant. We were hot from the long walk so when we saw that it was outside, we were a little bummed but they had the fans on strong which not only kept the bugs away but cooled us down quickly. We ordered: — clam, scallop and shrimp ceviche on the half shell appetizer– absolutely delicious fresh seafood in lime — tuna sashimi tostada– thumbs down and very disappointing because it was drenched in a soy based sauce which completely ruined the appetizer. It would’ve been good if it wasn’t overwhelmed by the salty, strong sauce… no need for the sauce — coconut shrimp– too sweet, I’ve had better — red snapper– just ok — shrimp fajitas– best main dish that we tasted out of all the other dishes Servers were very friendly and nice.

I wanted to try a more local spot for seafood. After reading the reviews I decided to go off the beaten path and tried Las Mariscadas. Ended up with a subpar meal and food poisoning for me and my fiancée. First indication that I should have turned away was the fact that only one other table was occupied. Ordered the mixed ceviche. The shrimp was raw. I’ve had raw shrimp before, however it must be extremely fresh and well handled. Wasn’t the best tasting ceviche either. For the main course we ordered the seafood platter for 2. The sea bass had an awful texture, and the garlic shrimp were rubbery. The lobster tails were also overcooked. After the meal we noticed the bus girl took our leftover chips and dumped them back into the container with the rest of the chips. Also our leftover salsa went back into the fridge from whence it came! Totally unsanitary. Much better(and safer) meals to be had elsewhere in Cabo.

Went for Saturday lunch. Before even getting close to the entrance the owner greeted my family. Very seldom I encounter a restaurant where you are treated like a VIP. Everyone in the restaurant came by to ensure everything was okay. I don’t understand the $$$ rating for this restaurant. You know a restaurant is going to be good when you see the fish come through the front door. Ceviche is outstanding and the tuna sashimi tostada was amazing. The fried red snapper and the tortillas were great. My wife had crab cakes that were spectacular. As I was eating the chef came to the table to ensure everything was perfect. Upon leaving we decided we were going to come back on our last night in Cabo. There is no a/c but, we visited in August and there are plenty of fans and cold drinks to keep you happy

The service was amazing; we were treated like family. The owner, Jose, came and greeted my family, and since we had a baby with us, I was surprised at his very open and warm welcome(they even brought her food quickly… That was so considerate). They created a special lobster order for us, and were exceedingly kind. And the food! The lobster was fresh, a great price. The tortillas were homemade; the guac was delicious. Even the chips had a special seasoning. They were perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It’s just a few blocks from city center and worth the very quick walk. Price: cheaper than the tourist center, but not necessarily a spot for $ 2 tacos. Food ranges from $ 10-$ 60(if you get the seafood combo plate for two). Service: 5 stars; but do note that it’s casual. We came in shorts and tank tops. Amazing service, by not overly stuffy. Food. 5 stars. Amazing lobster, flan and chips and guac. Exactly what we were looking for.

Como turista me encantó! Delicioso! Mariscos frescos o cocidos, almejas, ostiones, tacos… Venden cervezas variadas, vino y bebidas preparadas.

Wow… the food was soooo amazing!!! Our party of six were seated immediately and the service was fantastic. They were very attentive and all orders came out fast. Waiters were always nearby to ask us if we needed anything or wanted additional drinks. We ordered the — coconut shrimp: best I’ve ever had and I don’t even like coconut — lobster burrito: perfect amount of spice — surf and turf skewers: meat was so tender! — crab cakes: average — bacon wrapped shrimp: anything with bacon is amazing — fish and shrimp ceviche tostada: you have to get the shrimp one. It was just perfection — raw oysters: oh so fresh — drinks: solid I would absolutely recommend his place and would come back here. Only draw back is that it’s hard to find.

Upon our arrival in Cabo, our conversation with the hotel manager went like this: — Are you hungry? — Yes! — Do you like seafood? — Yes! — There’s a great place down the street called«Las Mariscadas». We went straight there and I can’t justify giving this place less than five stars. Delicious food, fair prices, outstanding service and huge portions! We both started off with a pescado ceviche and it was out-of-this-world good, a perfect welcome to Mexico. For our entrée, we picked the huge steak-and-prawn skewers and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The steak was absolutely delicious and so were the prawns. The atmosphere was also great, the restaurant being tucked away from the hustle-and-bustle of main street. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice sea food soup and shrimp fajitas, along with some beer to wash it down. The seafood was really great, very fresh, nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flour tortillas were very good, as were the salsas that came with the chips. Staff was extremely curteous, friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English, much better than my Spanish. They serve nice sounding drinks, but we went for generic Mexican beer. A few wines were listed, but not tried. We enjoyed the ambiance and décor. This is definitely a great place for fresh seafood at a moderate price!

Great seafood off the tourist path in downtown Cabo. The restaurant was clean and the owner and waiter were very friendly and accommodating. The dining room is outdoors covered by a huge palapa. Everything on the menu is seafood, except for two entrees offering chicken or beef. We ordered fresh tuna sashimi tostada and it was amazing! So fresh and so tasty! We also had the grilled sea bass and the seafood soup. The soup had a very tasty and finely seasoned broth and was loaded with octopus, sea bass, shrimp, and half a crab. We went back a second night during the week and ordered the huge ceviche platter. It is obvious the fish is so fresh. This was by far one of my favorite restaurants in Cabo.

Must have been a really off night. Recommended by my local foodie friend, but I could not stomach the entrée for myself or my wife. Would not eat — waiter comp’ed us for one dish. The app(frutti de mariscos) was edible, but nothing special. Total meal $ 48US, including comp. Prefer so many LA spots compared to this hyped mess. Keep searching. Nothing to see here.

Just 5 streets away from the gringo tourist hub Bub is this wonderful family owned eatery. Not fancy, but clean, stocked with good tableware and linen, politely staffed. It’s a place that locals bring their families to eat delicious seafood at reasonable prices. Dining room is outdoors, covered with a giant palapa. Menu is fish-centric. There is one beef(brochette) item on the glossy plastic menu. My dinner was fresh sashimi grade tuna(generous portion) tostada, 45 pesos and the big bowl of seafood soup, 109 pesos. The soup bowl was loaded with nibbles & bits of fish, octopus, squid, clams and a half crab. The broth was exquisite. Pliers and a pointed tool are provided to decimate the crab. The wine list is pathetic. Just a few yucky bottles of Mexican & Chilean whites & reds. Horrifically overpriced. Stick with beer or soft drinks. Yes, they serve tequila. But you know, you gott’a stop drinking so much while you’re visiting Cabo!(Your mother said for me to tell you that.) Desserts offered. Store bought cakes and a flan. My cheesecake was pretty bad in a smart & final kind’a way. Skip dessert here, walk to the Hagen-daz @ the shopping center. A couple can eat freshest quality seafood here until belly bursting fullness with beer for about $ 45.

Great seafood and also cheap! I was looking for a non tourist trap restaurant or a local eatery and up for a seafood adventure! The seafoods are so fresh you can really taste the freshness in every bite! Since My partner and I we’re hungry for seafoods we ordered the seafood platter consist of 2 lobster tail, BBQ shrimps, crab claws, fish fillets, coconut shrimps, squid, vegetables and a bit of rice which is $ 80. Then we got the 2 orders of 4 lobster tail for$ 40 per order which is really good deal! lastly battered shrimp coconut which I’m not a fan of a the sweetness coming out of the grated coconut breading, I thought it’s a coconut milk! I should’ve listen carefully to the server when explaining! Anyway we’ve been feasting on what we’ve ordered and finish them all except the coconut shrimp which my partner also didn’t like it:( The place was open, no windows or doors covered by tall green plants in the front serving as a curtain and fans we’re everywhere trying to cool you down from the summer heat. The place is very decent decorated by natural plants climbing on the walls and the place is painted with the color of ocean and other water creature. Try this place if you are visiting cabo for a real experience of seafood fiesta! Just to clarify Price as shown in Unilocal is $$$ for Mexican currency, but if you are a tourist it’s $$!

Grande!
