Great tacos at about 20p each. Tried the chicken, beef, and shrimp… all very delicious. Only ate here once while in cabo but wish I’d visited more.

It was such a great experience. The food was so delicious and you can’t ask for a better price. The service was excellent. We definitely are going to make this a must go to every year we come.

So, can I please go on an all taco diet? I’ve officially added Tacos Guss to one of my favorite taco spots in Cabo. We came here during lunch time and also late night after the bars. There was a mix of locals and tourist eating here. After seeing all of the reviews on Unilocal,of course I had to check it out. There weren’t too many people here during lunch, but if you go at night, this place gets crowded. The shrimp, asada, & lengua did not disappoint! So good and so damn cheap! The only thing that I was disappointed in was my chorizo taco; it just didn’t taste as fresh as everything else. Overall this was was awesome! Friendly service, very affordable, generous portions & delicious.

Godsend! Best food I had in Cabo. This place is legit. My fave tacos in order: 1) Shrimp with Cheese 2)Chorizo 3) Pescado 4) Pastor 5) Pollo 6) Lengua But they were all tasty. At night you’ll see many local service workers in line and they swear by this place. The 2 main components that make this place the best is the open fire grill and the array of fresh ingredients. Loved the staff as well. This place is always busy. I suggest going here.

This place is solid. You can get pretty similar fare in the US(ie La Plaza), but it was cool for the experience of eating in Mexico. I had three tacos: al pastor, fish, and chorizo. They were all good and had very generous portions. Maybe a little bit on the crispy side, but not burnt. The accoutrements were a nice touch. I really liked the avocado sauce. Plus, this place is dirt cheap. $ 4 something for three tacos.

Stopped in and ha some tacos while in town. I tried the chicken, pastor, and Asada. Each one was delicious in its own right. We were served all the salsas and toppings on the side, which my kids loved. My daughter is picky about what goes on her food. Cokes in the bottle rounded out the meal. Absolutely coming back again!

Great taco stand. Good choices, fresh salsa choices, clean and easy location. No ocean view unless you take then to go… We did three nights in a row. Cheap eats, tacos and Coronas and surfing… Why we came to Cabo

Simple tacos but good and a great price. My boyfriend and I ordered all the different meats for the tacos. My favorite was the pork dressed with pico de gallo. Simply delicious and if you’re staying at the Marina Fiesta, it’s a very short walk. Squid roe is also very close so for those late night drunken munchies this place will hit the spot without breaking the bank.

Wonderful food at great prices! You have to try the shrimp tacos with torillas de harina(Flour Tortillas)! Also, ask for the cebollitas asadas(grilled onions). They are the best! They have a large assortment of salsas too!

Great tacos in an awesome location. The menu is listed on the wall — and everything we tried was fantastic. Chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and fish tacos are what we had and everything was great with good seasoning. We were in Cabo for 4 days and ate here twice. The relish tray is great and the sauces are fun to taste too. Lunch and a beer for two was about $ 10. Looking forward to our next visit!

Last day port on our cruise and already burnt to a crisp, I decided to skip the beach and find some good tacos. After wandering the touristy marina, I went on Unilocal to find something less touristy. Tacos Guss is located just a block off the marina, with a small walk up stand and open seating. We came around 10AM and we were the first customers of the day. The waiter didn’t speak much English, but the menu is simple and easy to understand. We ordered the asada, shrimp, pastor, skirt steak and chorizo tacos with the pineapple agua fresca. The tacos come to you with just meat on a corn or flour tortilla. You get to make them the way you like with the complimentary condiment plate and salsa + guacamole tray. The orange habanero salsa was extra spicy and so good. The best part of the taco is the amazing corn tortillas. They are thick, but still light and don’t fall apart after loading them up with condiments. My favorite taco was the asada, with the pastor a close second. The pineapple agua fresca was refreshing and only mildly sweet, which fits my tastes. You can tell this place was popular as the place filled up with others coming for morning tacos as we finished our meal. When it was all said and done, $ 14US for 7 excellent tacos and 2 drinks.

We left our resort during dinner because of terrible service. I then Unilocaled this place and decided to Give it a shot… anything is better than the non service we were receiving at our resort. We were greeted when or taxi arrived. That was nice and a good sign. Luckily, we were seated right away(this place has minimal seating). As soon as we were seated, we were greeted again by our server and he brought with him a huge plate of condiments. It looked delicious and looked, smelled, and tasted fresh. Ah! What a nice turn around from where we were! :D The food came out fast and hot and the meat was perfectly cooked! This place puts together the basics of a taco and/or a burrito and you do rest. You have everything you need to create ur perfect meal. Nothing like hand made corn/flour tortillas… freshly cooked meat, and fresh condiments to make ur meal with. And they also serve beers and wine to wash ur food with if you deserve. This place looks like the spot where the locals go, so you know it’s good!!! And it’s open 24⁄7!!! Yessssss!!! So yeah, Tacos Gus is definitely in the back of our minds when we are feeling like dipping out of the resort and getting some really good authentic Mexican food. This place is simple, clean, good food, and good service… can’t ask for anything more.

…why were my tacos so gross??? I can’t believe this place has such a high ranking. –Fish taco: I think they might have misheard me? It had the texture of pork… overcooked pork chops. –Lengua taco: This was the only decent taco of the bunch that I ordered. But it’s just boiled tongue, how could they really get that wrong right? –Tripas taco: They didn’t clean this at all. My friend took a bite, made a disgusted face and spit it out. Thankfully, she ate it first haha. I just took a piece off of mine, instead of taking a bite, and yup! It tasted dirty and gritty. –Al pastor taco: This tasted like bbq pork at a Chinese restaurant… but drier and chewier. My friend ordered a shrimp taco and it came with 3 big shrimp. She said the shrimp were deliciously sweet. ps…plus side… they have Wi-Fi here! pps…someone was selling drugs outside o. o;;

:Venue: This is a small venue off of the main road in downtown. We walked from our hotel, so we didn’t have to worry about parking. It is open air seating. Very simple. :Food: I would say the food is Ok; however, the rest of my group was obsessed. I think we came hear 3 times in a matter of 7 days. You are given a platter with salsas, radishes, lemon wedges, cilantro, and chopped onions for the table. Perfect for those that would prefer to make their own. Everyone loved the tacos. I am a vegan(which did not last long in Cabo) I ordered a quesadilla as I preferred to have dairy than meat. They used a nice mozzarella cheese and their tortillas are handmade. It was not super greasy and it was delicious. I added some of their mild salsa and was good to go. :Service: Despite how busy they are, the service is good. They are attentive and the food gets out to you quickly. This is definitely a place to check out that won’t break your budget and will fill you up.

Being half Mexican and loving authentic Mexican food I was very disappointed when I arrived in Cabo and was surrounded by Gringo Mexican food. I asked the taxi drivers where they go to eat tacos and 3 different drivers suggested this place. ITDIDNOTDISAPPOINT! This place is the real deal. Super authentic and left me wanting more. The carne asada tacos are amazing! They give you this platter before your meal that has onions, cilantro, cucumbers and a few different salsas! 5 out of 5!!!

Tacos Guss deserves 5 stars from me. I rarely give 5 stars because it really has to give me something special and Guss did it. After trying tacos from Tacos Gardenias and Mariscos Las Tres Islas, I would have to say that Guss trumps em’ all. The tacos by far were sooooo good and authentic. I couldn’t believe how tasty they were. I tried most of the tacos and was very very impressed. We went twice. Well done Guss! Tacos: Carne Asada — standard, yet delicious Pollo Asada — standard, yet delicious Camerones(grilled) — fantastic, one of my favorites Arrachera — fajita-like steak cut from a flank. It was different than the standard carne asada as it was cut more into strips as opposed to smaller pieces. This was absolutely amazing and packed with citrus, peppery, and salty savory flavors. Bomb. Al Pastor — shaved pork(similar to shawarma). By far my favorite! *All tacos come with a myriad of toppings including guacamole, limes, shredded cabbage, salsa, pico de gallo, and pickled radishes, carrots and cucumbers. * I will always come see Guss when I’m back in Cabo!

Don’t be intimidated or afraid to eat here! These are legit tacos that meet all three of my most stringent criteria: 1. they’re cheap. 2. they don’t cause bowel distress. 3. they are deliciously authentic! Having a grasp of some basic Spanish foodie vocabulary would be useful here but it’s not technically needed. Just know that the folks working here don’t speak or understand very much English. If you have a good dictionary, you’ll do fine. My high school Spanish made it easy to sail through ordering and paying up. Cute school kids literally took a break from doing their homework to come over to take our orders. You go in, sit, order from your table, then go up to the counter to pay when you are done. This place is CHEAP! You can stuff yourself with tasty fresh tacos and spend less than $ 10 U.S. The carne asada and grilled shrimp were my favorites and I also preferred the flour tortillas to the soft corn(not always the case but here I’d opt for the flour). A big plate of fresh toppings comes direct to your table(the crispy radishes were the best). The toppings are covered with plastic wrap to keep the flies away. Do not skip the homemade salsas, they are universally delicious. Expect truly authentic spices and flavors here, this isn’t your Americanized Café Rio type grub. Tacos Guss is my favorite taco place in all of Cabo San Lucas. I travel here just so I can eat their yummy food. Note that it is a completely open air restaurant(more like a sit down taco stand) so on a hot day it can get particularly humid and unpleasant. It’s worth the unrelenting sweat to down a plate full of these bad boys.

You can’t find tacos this good in the US. But I’m comparing to other places in Mexico, and while Tacos Guss was really delicious, it didn’t hit 5 stars for me. Gosh I sound like such a taco snob… I tried six of their meats, and the flavors were all excellent. What they could have improved on was the cook of the meat. Everything I tried was on the dry side, even the chorizo. While I appreciate that the meat wasn’t super greasy, I do prefer some more juice. My favorite was the pollo(chicken). Al pastor is usually tops for me, but their version could have used more pineapple. What I did love was the generous plate of toppings that came standard for each table. Cilantro, onions, lime, cucumber, carrots, salsa, radish… you get more than enough to pile it on. Each table also got four sauces — three were very spicy and one was a mild guacatillo. I highly recommend getting the parrillada if you are with a group. You get five types of meat: carne asada, pastor, pollo, chorizo, and tripa. It’s a great way to try the different flavors and you get to make your own tacos. It also comes with queso and grilled onions. The parrillada por 4 was more than enough food for the four of us, and it only cost 400 pesos or about $ 26USD. Other notes: –Open air seating, no AC. It did get uncomfortably hot when I went in July. –Our waiter didn’t speak English, but the menu was simple enough to understand. –They don’t make fresh chips. We asked for some, so they served us some stale and premade ones.
