If I would have reviewed Mango Deck last year there would have been another star. But the food has seriously deteriorated. It’s almost like they are serving TV dinners. It was that disappointing. But I just love everything else about Mango Deck. We come here every time we go to Cabo and just sit back and take in the entertainment, I have even participated in a couple of contests on the stage. The last being a beer drinking contest with college kids. I won but only because the MC didn’t notice that I puked a little on stage. They have OK prices for alcohol and they have Dos Equis which is my favorite Mexican beer. All in good fun and we always leave in a fantastic mood.

Had fun here with all the spring break antics. It was entertaining. The food was nothing to write home about.

If you are a TOURIST beware of being ripped off by this place. The food is decent, but the waiting staff practices some very unethical pricing tactics to steal your money and pocket the additional cash for themselves. They think most Americans who go there will be too drunk to notice. What they do is keep a tab of everything you order, then manually write down the prices on a piece of paper. For me, they charges me $ 6US for kids soda. We ordered 5 of them, so that was $ 30.00US when a bucket of 5 beers was $ 15US. They also quote you in Mexican Pesos to confuse you, then they offer a very low exchange rate as well, to ensure they get more. Find out the prices of all items you order before you order them. I love the scene at Mango Deck and I’ve been there many times. They tried this nonsense on me and got caught. I’ll never go back. When I caught the waiter doing this, he charged my credit card then refunded the difference to me I pesos. So shady. He felt so guilty that I caught him. Keep a look out and ensure you don’t get taken by these people. Shocking to say the least.

The servers didn’t really seem to know which table they were working. We had to wait 15 min for our first round of drinks. We had to ask 3 times from 3 different people before our drinks arrived. Our food order didn’t happen for almost 40 minutes. The manager was busy hitting on two woman rather than helping out or making sure his guys were doing what they were supposed to be doing. Food was ok.

Seriously, as I read the negative reviews all I can say is, you probably got bad service because your a bad customer… been coming here for years to make a day of it during our visits. Service is top notch and they are attentive… have I paid more than I thought I ordered, yes but that’s what happens when you drink and keep ordering rounds… word of advice, if you have to question the prices at any bar, perhaps you should drink at home… if you think you are getting bad service, look at the type of customer you are

Sketchy? You Bet!!! This is kind of a Girls Gone Wild place but with really creepy undertones. Cheap beers, fun atmosphere, but they’ll over charge you in a second if you’re not paying attention. And all of a sudden we had 3 new best friends who were Cabo locals. Kept trying to get us to do shots? Literally, the only way to get away from them was to leave the place. Went back next day, after the 4 of us had drank 15 beers and 8 margaritas, over a 3 hour period, one of the little sidewinder waiters came up and told us we had to leave unless we immediately ordered more drinks! My buddy basically told him to just send the manager over to discuss, manager never showed up. Then I’m in the bathroom, and the soap dispenser falls off the wall when i push the button to get some soap. I’m picking it up just as the cleaning lady walks in. She glares at me, grabs it out of my hand, walks out, all the time shooting dirty looks at me! Just a weird experience.

Fun place on the beach with friendly staff & entertainment. We enjoyed lunch there & it’s real casual & entertaining. Drinks are not strong — ask for extra shots or else buy shots or beer. Pay with cash or else if you use a credit card, they will need to write down your driver’s license as they got ripped off too many times.

When I was in Cabos the first time, this was such a great restaurant, we went back two more times on our next trip. The staff are fun and friendly, the food is good and the location is perfect. Highly recommend.

SCAM — menu prices disregarded, charged almost double what the prices were listed at in pesos. Staff offered to sell us weed at the table. Completely distasteful… But expected at such a low-class establishment.

I will admit that the service was a bit slow, and lacking, but the food was pretty darn good. We were walking around looking for a place to get a drink, and some food near the beach, and happened upon this place. We were seated right away, but everything else happened very slowly. We were happy to find vegetarian options on the menu, but you need to tell them of your diet restrictions. For example, they have a Caesar Salad, but it has eggs, and anchovies in it; both of which can be omitted from the recipe if you let them know. As it turns out, we did have the Caesar Salad,(without the egg or anchovie), the Guacamole,(made right at the table), and the Vegetable Fajitas. We loved the meal! Everything tasted great. Everything was fresh, light, and tasty. We also like the 2 for 1 beers all day long. For being so near the beach,(like right on it), the prices were very reasonable. Usually, you have to get off the beaten path to find good prices, but these were not too bad. My wife and I both had plenty to eat, and the bill was less than $ 25 American, including tip. Yeah, if you are looking for bargains, you can find them away from the beach, and down the side streets of the city, but, if you want to be where the action is, and enjoy good food at a good price, this place is a pretty good choice. Just keep in mind, as other reviewers have noted, that the service can be spotty, and slow at times. They really do try, but the place is pretty busy, and most people aren’t there to get in and out very quickly. Most people dine by the beach to be near the fun, and this place fits that bill very well.

They are cometely inatentive, so service is aweful. We sat here for about 20 minutes after being seated until a server actually came by — we had to get up and flag down staff. Also, we had lunch and the food totally sucks here, too. The beers are really cheap, though and it has an awesome beach view and is fun, if you can deal with the service inadequancies.

Mango Deck is the perfect spot to hangout if you’re looking to have a good time in Cabo(think beach club, day party ish). It’s definitely for the 21+ crowd and not family friendly during the day… I don’t recommend coming here for a family lunch. Things calm down at dinner time and the place becomes more family friendly. It’s located right on the beach so you can get into the water just a few steps away and come back to your table to eat guac and chips. I liked the food here; they serve your usual Mexican fare and it’s reasonably priced as well. The servers here are great and do their best to make sure patrons are having a good time(shout out to Joe who kept us entertained and for making sure we were taken care of!) There’s usually loud music playing and some crazy activities happening on their stage area(think beer chugging contest, booty shaking contest, etc.) My girl friends and I had a lot of fun here on our vacation. There are usually people walking around where you can sign up for a boat ride or other water activities as well. We had a round of drinks at MD, got on a boat ride to the Arches, and then docked back at MD where our server got us a new table. We basically spent our whole day there. Hanging out here is your one stop shop to have a fun day in Cabo!

This place is fun! Bf and I decided to come here after the water taxi tour. It’s kinda like a sports bar or maybe it is but in front of the beach! How awesome is that! There was a 49ers game that day we went there which is cool. We ordered some food, drank some beers, joined the game. Love it! The service was great! They’re attentive. They even have this breakdancers which is entertaining. Id definitely come back here!

It’s fun but I was really frustrated the two time we have come in this trip. They lied about drink specials. Yesterday we went and got two drinks and he brought out two bottles of water that we did not order, nor did we end up touching. When we got the bill for our drinks, it was $ 60! We were told the drinks were but one get one before 7pm, but obviously not. He charged us $ 4 each for waters that we didn’t order, and when we disputed our bill, our server turned on the«my English is bad» act, even though he was speaking just fine the whole time we were there. Mango Deck was great and had great drink specials during Spring Break when I’ve been down before, but they really kill you and jack up the prices when it’s not piqué season. I was shocked at the low level of customer services we experienced, but it is still a fun place to go to, so that’s why they still got 2 stars from me.

My sweetheart and I stumbled upon this place while we were on Medano Beach(which is absolutely stunning btw). We were seated on the deck with a great view of the beach. Since it was on the upper level, the umbrellas on the beach tables weren’t obstructing our view. Most bars on the beach have the same 2×1 specials, but we went with this one because it had the most people and seemed like the place to be– and it definitely was! The stage was right in front of us and as we had our drinks, we enjoyed watching the drinking contests. It’s Mexico, so of course the contest included a shot of tequila being chased with a bottle of Dos Equis then running to the beach and spinning yourself ten times around a baseball bat. It’s all fun and games(’til someone yacks #gamechanger #partyfoul). The bf and I got 2×1 margaritas with our good friend Jose Cuervo. After that I decided to get Dos Equis since it was 2×1 too and wanted it as a Michelada– which is something they charge you separate for. It’s literally just the mix, but I wasn’t complaining. After watching the drinking contest, they offered up some free shots if you got into the conga line and my boyfriend happily participated. It was a hilarious sight. There were people who already got a shot and would return to the back of the line to get more– lezbhonest, who’s really paying attention. Everyone’s having too much fun drinking– they even had an employee there give an example of what the drinking contest participant should look like. Oh, and they have these girls who walk around with jello shot trays for $ 2 each. We each bought one. The girl fed it to me then fondled my breasts, she also fed my boyfriend his and pinched his nipples. We couldn’t stop laughing. Mango Deck is the place to be. It’s always an awesome time!

Mango, mango, mango deck… where do I begin? A restaurant with a «dayclub» located right in the front. There are a bunch of beach and lounge chairs provided… you just need to bring your own beach towels. Went went on a Tuesday… my boyfriend and I literally spent almost the entire day here… we arrived around 11:30 ish and didn’t leave till 4:30p. There’s no «cover charge» or «table charge.» Only thing we paid for were food and drinks. No minimum charge for that either. Located on Medano Beach, this is for party goers varying from all ages to have fun and make some memories. You can participate in their games or be a spectator if you like. Games can range from«guess the movie by only listening to 5 seconds of the theme song,» a dance off, booty shaking contest, who can finish a beer the fastest and other sorts of games. Like others have said, games can be a bit raunchy with the Emcee making sexual innuendos every so often. Def can get a bit graphic with T&A’s everywhere. When there were no games scheduled, a DJ was playing music to keep the party going. Good music too… remixes of top 40s and house music. We were treated with great service from all the servers. Our guy, Juan Carlos, was awesome!!! He scored us some beach chairs located right in the middle of all the events. He constantly came by to check on our drinks and even when we had a minor mishap with our chicken strips + fries taking 45+ minutes to arrive, he took care of us and comp’d that for the inconvenience. Every worker looked happy to be there and they were joining in on the fun. They were appreciative of tourists and the business they bring. From what I observed, nobody had a sour look on their face either… and gave genuine customer service. To sum it up: -«beach club» minus the cover charge. No minimum food + beverage charge either. –Juan Carlos. Took great care of us –Not really a family friendly place –Can get a bit loud and rowdy. Depending on what kind of day you would like. If you want something romantic or relaxing, stay away from here. Overall, you get out what you put into it. Whether if you’re a party of 2 or 10, have fun… enjoy! Nobody is there to judge you so watcha got to lose?! ;) Make some fun Mango Deck, Cabo memories!!!

Sorry didn’t eat here but I can review the atmosphere. I will start with a warning. Once the lunch crowd has lifted it may be the time for the youngsters to leave. It can get racy around 1:30pm! If you are a college aged spring breaker or wishing you still were, this is a great fun place to hang out, have some beer and enjoy all the activity. The afternoon«booty shaking» contest is rather funny, but can go from PG-13 to R rated pretty quickly! If you want, you can pay extra to have front row VIP seating. The staff is very attentive, but works for tips. Be prepared… They will push the tequila! Location is amazing. Scenery is spectacular.

Trust me, I did all the research and read all these reviews for Mango Deck. My friends and I had wanted to eat here during our excursion in Cabo San Lucus, right off the Norweigan Star cruise line. I asked myself, «It’s touristy Mexico, sure they might try to scam you out of a couple dollars but what else could go wrong?» boy was I not prepared for what happened at Mango Deck. In a crowded afternoon, our group approached a server about a table. In what felt like couple hours later(only 50 minutes), we wound up getting the run-around from like six different servers, each one referring us to another one of his compadres. The hour we had been there, nobody was able to get us a table, or put us on a waiting list or even referred us to a proper host. I felt we got the run-around all afternoon because we were just three straight guys without your typical all-american college babes around our arms. No ass? No tits? No service! should be the motto of Mango Deck. An hour later, we were finally directed to a host in the very very back of the restaurant. The host led us to this table which was already preoccupied with an American young couple. The host told us, «Just wait here until these people leave. Then you may sit at their table». So what followed that encounter was an awkward 30 minutes standing literally three-five feet away from our soon-to-be table, exchanging weird glances with the young couple every so often. As the couple left, we apologized profusely for putting them in such an awkward situation. As our group cleaned our own table with napkins(yup seriously), our waiter came by to hand us our menus. As we read through the menu, another WTF Mexico?!? moment hit us in the head. Our table brought a pair of Texas girls over to our table and announced, «these girls will be sharing a table with you fellows». We were never once consoled over this option and it pisses our group off that the mango Deck staff would dump another group on us when we had already been waiting for a table for 90 minutes. And to make matters worst… Our party of 3 + the two Texas girls all ordered our food at the same time. For some ungodly reason, the Texas girls got their food first before us… by a good hour. In fact, the girls received their entrees, finished them, paid for their bill and left the premises of Mango Deck… before anyone in my group even got their entrée. I understand Mango Deck is supposed to be a fun and entertaining place. But during our whole experience there, we felt very neglected from the start. Not to mention, we bought some of the juice shots & jello shots from the pretty Latina alcohol girls and all of the shots contained little-to-none alcohol. The food here is very abysmal as well. The only highlight of our lunch was the fresh table-side prepared guacamole with chips. Whether our bad experience was due to racism or sexism or some other godawful mexico excuse, shame on you Mango Deck, never again!
