Very nice view, great service, pricy. Juan and Fernando did a great job. We went for lunch, I would be interested in seeing the dinner crowd. Personally I liked the ambiance of Porfirio’s more.

Excellent surprise. Outstanding waterside patio service. Nice menu selection. Reasonable pricing. Caution outside seating includes open smoking. Comfortable service and attention. English assistance readily available. Slow pace for enjoying the outstanding waterside view and excellent offerings. The seafood sampler is prepare to perfection and designed to share. Plenty of quality fresh seafood. A treat for everyone. Adequate seating available for a party of 8. Enjoy.

Great food but do not order hard alcohol. It is overpriced and watered down. Ordered a vodka martini and it tasted like water. Sent it back and the next one tasted the same.

The location is was very close to our condo. Asked our taxi driver to take us to an authentic mexican seafood joint. We Walked in and the place look very put together and very fancy. I was expecting loud mexican music and instead they had piano music playing. Our waiter pulled out our chairs as we seated. We got the menu and they served us water in wine glasses, I Felt like I was underdressed for the place. Very very fancy. The food was very expensive but had Good taste. Honestly I would not come here again or recommend if you’re looking for a more chill place. We ended up getting two meals for drinks and an appetizer for over $ 100.00

A truly wonderful experience. The service was top notch and Juan Carlos was great. He made several recommendations which proved to be right on. The atmosphere right on the Laguna was romantic and relaxing. The sunset was amazing. For the food, it was top notch, beautifully presented and fresh! The lobster, chowder, seafood pasta, bread was some of the best we’ve ever had. Everything about this place is class.

The Crab House in Cancún was absolutely outstanding! It was the first place I ate at in Mexico, and it’s the first place I’d want to eat on all future visits as well. It’s certainly pricey, but let’s be real — it’s Cancún, get a grip! And besides that, each dish was totally worth every last peso. The quality, portions, and flavors were fantastic. My friend and I who were visiting actually went for lunch, and for our meal we decided to share three appetizers to get a little taste of everything. One dish was shrimp and cucumber aguachile which was pickled with hints of habanero that was so delicate for the taste buds but so delicious with the crispy corn chips on the table. Another was their version of a crab, scallop, octopus, and shrimp ceviche which was citrus-y, spicy, and cured to the most perfect degree. Amazingly refreshing for a warm Mexican afternoon! And last but certainly not least we had tuna tostadas which came with an avocado-green chile sauce that was absolutely to die for. There was some leftover at the end, and I literally could not stop myself from dipping the chips in it to finish every last drop. If they bottled it and sold it in the States, I would probably keep two bottles in the house at all times. Truly, truly, truly mouthwateringly divine. A showstopping dish of the entire week while we were there. The server was a little bit odd to say the least, but when the food’s this good, I couldn’t possibly complain. I agree with one other reviewer that asking us how much we’d like to tip at the end of the meal was a little bit unprofessional and discomforting, but the unpleasant feel left shortly after because the food was just that delicious. For sure the Crab House is one of the best places to eat on the entire Kukulkan Boulevard, so do yourself a favor and stop by! If you want great seafood, this place will knock your socks off!

It is ok. food. If you paid with credit card waiters will ask you holding your card in their hands:‘I should add 15% or 20% tip? I think that is BS.

Food was decent. Place is rather expensive for a sea food joint. We had a couple of things from the menu and a couple of drinks. Bill came out to a whooping $ 120(this is mexico!). No big deal. I paid the $ 120, and left a $ 10 tip for the waiter. On the way out I was approached by the manager asking me if our experience was OK, to which i replied that it was. He then proceeded to ask me why I tipped less than 10%, in front of everyone there and my girlfriend, which dumb founded me. I took out a $ 20, threw it at him, and left. Extremely unprofessional. Will never return. What i should have done is asked for my money back, and paid the exact amount of the bill, without any tip, but i was so shocked that i couldn’t think clearly. I am always a generous tipper(at least 15%+), and thought that a $ 10 tip ONANEXTREMELYOVERPRICED lunch was more than enough(INMEXICO!). BEWAREOFRUDESERVICE!

This is a review of the spot in the Hotel Zone next to Fred’s House and near the Marriot. Worst seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. Overpriced and gross food. Avoid at all costs.

De lo mejor de mucho tiempo! Cola de langosta y manos de cangrejo, acompañados de vino tinto mendocino de uva Syrah. Bianchi.

I came there first of all for the stone crab. I love crabs and I was disappointed to discover that my claws were over-cooked, dry, and not tasty. My friends ordered tuna steak and seafood soup, they were happy with their food. The best part of the dinner was the giant crocodile that emerged in the water and could be seen from the restaurant balcony. I have never seen crocodiles of such size! It was really amazing! People were throwing him food from the balcony and it was clutching its enormous jaws. The staff said that this crocodile comes there almost every night because customers always feed it.

Two stars because the stone crab I had gave me food poisoning! I would’ve given them 1 but the view is so beautiful and the entertainer playing the trumpet on the day we went was really good. For the cost of eating here, the pain and anguish of food poisoning– skip it! Fred’s next door was much better. The wait staff were really friendly and again the view is amazing. But for quality of food and value for money– not worth it.

We had such an amazing experience here at Crab House Cancun. The staff was outstanding! This place definitely taught their staff well in terms of service. They do EVERYTHING for you. For 2 people, we ordered the seafood(cold) appetizer for 2, lobster tacos, truffled mac and cheese and garlic bread. The food was exceptional – DELICIOUS. There are no words to describe how great the stone crabs were for us that night. The only problem I would have is that the truffled mac and cheese wasn’t really mac and cheese. It was more of penne tossed in truffled alfredo sauce. It wasn’t that great, but we did not really care because we were satisfied with everything else.

Probably not the best person to have review the restaurant… My company did a last minute reservation due to some extensive rain showers, so the patio was closed. We had a prix fixe menu, without crab, so that was probably our biggest problem. Great drinks, good service, so I’ll leave it at that.

Do not recommended it, tasteless food, I give the food 2 star, if that, the service 4, they try to sell kids smoothie by enticing them, who drinks smoothie with dinner anyways? I give 2 star for the value, I give 4 for the view, but that you can get at any Resturant along the strip. Defiantly not worth it.

mmm stone crab… how I love your claws… I happened to be reading a story about Florida stone crab on the flight to Mexico, and I got really excited when I saw it on the menu here. It’s true, stone crab claws here are very tasty. Meaty, sweet, and perfectly legal sustainable fishery(from what I read on the interweb). Our server was very friendly and attentive. Although his recommendation on portion was a bit unreliable. We were advised that the stone crab is more of an appetizer than a main dish. So we each ordered jumbo stone crab, a soup and a main dish. That was way more than enough food. I’m pretty sure I was full after having the stone crab alone, it left me very little space for anything else. Also tried the seafood soup and the paella. They were okay. The outdoor sitting area was lovely. It’s right by the water(lagoon side) and it has nice soft lights. A bit of live music too. Free wifi is available. My recommendation for this place: take a seat outside, order stone crab+cocktails, and enjoy the gentle night breeze!

Crab House Caribe — Cancun Amazing Food-Tremendous Value What an AMAZING experience we had at the Crab House Cancun. Directly across from the Marriott Casa Manga, JW Marriott and Secrets hotels, this restaurant has truly«fresh» seafood, and the best Stone Crab Claws I have ever had anywhere – even Joe’s Stone Crab & Steaks in Miami & Chicago. The service was exceptional – attentive but not overbearing – and the prices; well, simply ridiculously affordable! We had a late lunch/early dinner at about 3PM, and were seated outside with a great inner-coastal view. What did we eat, and how inexpensive was it? My wife and I did not order entrees.(We intended to but. Well, you’ll see). Instead we shared several appetizers while we were deciding what to eat as our main meals. They were so generously proportioned we could not finish them, and never ordered entrees or dessert.(Boy the deserts they brought out to us looked good! I’ll save room next time I assure you!!!) #1 Guacamole de Langos: Lobster guacamole served with lime(no shortages here), tomatoes and lettuce. The lobster was not only incorporated into the dish, but large slices were served on top of the really fresh guacamole.(«Fresh» is the operative theme here). #2 King Crab de Alaska: Just as it sounds, about a pound of steamed(you can get them grilled if you prefer) Alaskan King Crab Legs — delivered fresh daily — served not only with the tradition drawn butter, but with a variation of sauces — a Mexican garlic sauce and a spicy chili pepper sauce, again freshly made. The Crab legs came sliced in half and were very easy to eat; no bib required! #3 Cangrejo Moro Jumbo(Stone Crab Claws the Jumbo size). By the time we got to these succulent Stone Crab Claws we were full, and could not finish a plate of three. Thank goodness we opted not to order the Colossal Claws.(They come in 4 sizes: regular, large, jumbo and colossal. My past experiences were consistent with this one; either order the jumbo or colossal folks). Served with spicy chipotle mayo and spicy avocado sauces. WOW were they fantastic! The total bill including two large bottles of Evian water: $ 130.00USD!
