Food was awesome. I had the chicken Parmesan. Great red sauce. My wife had the short ribs which were excellent. Going back again tonight. Best Italian in Cancun. Don’t forget to walk by the lobster tank. They are ginormous!

Amazing Italian! Everything was great — calamari fritti, salads, housemade bread, ravioli, lasagna, gnocchi, and chic parm. Great atmosphere and pleasant service too!

OK… my wife and I are kind of food snobs. particularly regarding Italian fare. The bread that came with the meal was amazing… the rest of the meal was just OK. Her gnocchi was nothing special. Less of a pasta dish and more of a potato dish. My ravioli was good but not great. It had a hint of truffle oil which was fine, but otherwise uninspiring. Not a bad meal at all, but not a great meal. I think the reviews were misleading. In fairness, if we were back in the area, I would probably give them another try.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Trattoria Lemoncello this evening. Food was well prepared and reminded us of our recent visit to Italy. My husband’s grouper was in a delicious red wine sauce with onions, tomatoes, olives and bell peppers, while I had the gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. We sat inside, but next to a large window overlooking the water. With the delightful piano playing, it made our dinner intimate and relaxing. Service was attentive and friendly.

Just finished dinner for my last night in Cancun. Biggest complaint was I waited till the last night to try it. By far the best meal I had the whole time here and I ate at all the best places. The others were very good but this place exceeded all of them by far. I own my own Italian restaurant in Chicago and I wish I could take the Chef and the staff home with me. Theystart you out with a homemade bread something you would find in Turkey they have a women right at the entrance making it it takes a couple minutes but worth every second. The pizza was perfect and the Spaghetti bolognese was amazing also. My son was sick and couldn’t last long enough to make it for dessert but from what I saw I missed out big time. Next time in Cancun it will be my first stop not last.

This was recommended by our hotel and we loved it so much, we went back 2x. Nice Italian food menu — my husband loved his pollo parmagiana and I had the lobster ravioli special one night and the spaghetti ravioli the other. Their calamari was excellent as an appetizer, as was the tiramisu. They don’t have a kids menu, but were fantastic with finding options for my son. Our waiter(Gerardo) was incredible and made us feel like his best customers. We also enjoyed the fantastic sunset views of the lagoon and my son enjoyed the croc sightings on the lagoon. Delicious! Excellent Service! A must-go.

Loved this place, great service, excellent food, and a beautiful view as a bonus! Loved the food, I got some Pasta w/«salsa rosa», a cheese Pizza, and garlic bread. As a bonus, it included a Focaccia bread which I absolutely LOVED. The service was also pretty good. You should get a table close to the bridge, it has a pretty nice view, we even got to see a crocodile swimming by! And BTW, go there YOURSELF, as the delivery service isn’t as good as the actual thing.

Gino and Alejandro with an assistant offered our three man table service. Gino knew each selection and preparation by heart. Extensive menu focused on seafood with pasta. Great wine list and ample tequila selection. Wonderful waterside dining. Each course was beautifully presented with change of service ware. A true dining experience. The food was a solid 4.5 stars. Definitely tops in CanCun.

Every time I am in Cancun I eat here. Food is top notch, decent wine list, Our server the other day, Pedro made the night for us. He was a classy server made great suggestions, changed our flatware between each course. Delicious speck wrapped around pear with dressing, simple and delicious, grilled portobello with melted mozzarella, arugula salad with citrus dressing was nice and my braised veal shank over risotto was superb. Pedro made a wine pairing suggestion which worked, Walked out full and happy Didn’t try my wife’s food but her mojito was delish Great atmosphere, felt like being on a covered dock over the water

First off I can not complain about the food because we didn’t end up eating here, however our experience was still horrid. Three days before New Year’s Eve my aunt made a reservation for our party of nine at 8:00 on New Year’s Eve. She asked the person making the reservation if there was any cover charge or if it was like any other night, the person said no it is like any other night and she gave us a reservation card. This part there were no problems. New Year’s Eve we arrive at 8 and ask to be seated. They start to look for our reservation and nothing comes up. The hostess brings over another waiter to help her and they come to a conclusion that we didn’t have a reservation. He also enfoms us they don’t even open until nine and he says we have to pay a cover charge of $ 80 to get in for the night. Every one is bewildered by this because it was not mentioned to us before. The manager comes over and is fighting with my aunt and eventually tells us they will seat us but we have 1 hour and a half to eat which we said was fine. We wait to be seated for another 20 minutes and then they tell us they were never going to seat us and we have to leave because they had been booked for the past two months. Couldn’t eat there even with a reservation, terrible experience.

Our hotel recommended Limoncello and I’m glad they did. We were a group of 10 on a Saturday night and got a reservation earlier in the day for our requested time of 8:30 pm. Service was great — they were on top of re-filling our water, delicious, soft flat bread with olive oil and balsamic for dipping, and very friendly. The ambience is lovely — every table in the restaurant pretty much had a view of the lagoon. I shared the pumpkin/sage/butter ravioli(5 decent sized pieces) and the quattro formaggi pizza with friends — the pizza was thin and a bit crispy at the crust and with a little bit of tomato sauce and lots of the 4 different cheeses. Honestly, I was a little nervous to order the pizza because of an experience at our hotel the previous night with their pizza but this pizza at Limoncello was just like one of my favorite Italian restaurants back home in Miami. It was very good! The food was as good as any of my favorite restaurants in Miami and the prices reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was very tasty and fresh– we had pizza and spaghetti bolognese which we really enjoyed! The house bread was tasty also and service very friendly– but where in Cancun do you find bad service? Value for money was good(for Cancun!) we spent $ 100 for a family of 4, 3 cokes and 2 bottles of aqua. Lovely view and the inside is really nicely decorated.

Limoncello was our first Italian experience in Mexico and we were not disappointed! Their pumpkin ravioli was to die for. My husband had seafood pasta and loved it; it was the perfect amount of spicy and kept well enough to eat it for lunch over the next two days. I had the fettucini alfredo and loved it as well. You could tell the pasta was homemade. Service was very good but a bit slow! The restaurant itself is beautiful; we ate on their back deck overlooking the harbor which was very romantic! We’d highly recommend.

I came to Limoncello based on the previous review and I absolutely regretted that decision. We came at around 8pm and the restaurant was completely empty. Where was everyone? Obviously, they were eating at much better restaurants. The food was overpriced for the quality. We ordered the chicken Marsala, spaghetti bolognese, mushroom pizza. For $ 220+ pesos, chicken Marsala consisted of a slice of chicken breast and 3 bites of fettuccine on the side. It was not filling nor worth the money. Plus the mushroom sauce on the pasta was gross. Spaghetti bolognese was also tasteless with limp overcooked spaghetti. And I’ve had better meat sauce out of a Ragu jar. The mushroom pizza came out warm(not hot) and the crust was extremely hard. They were probably trying to get all the food out at once, but still. not an excuse for a fine dining establishment. Lastly, the service was just subpar… Our waiter was nice and pleasant at first, but once we got the menu, he was very pushy with the drinks and kind of made us feel like we were cheap for not ordering anything. So we gave in and ordered. I got a lemonade which he insisted was fresh and not bottled. It was actually minutemaid lemonade which tasted a tad too sour. What a joke! When I complained, the waiter took my drink away to the bar, came back and said«the bartender tasted it and said nothing was wrong with it». So now I’m missing my drink and I still have to pay $ 50 pesos for something that the staff drank out of? Then he had the audacity to bring back that same drink the bartender sipped from. Did he really expect me to drink from that glass still?! Please, save yourself some money. There are much, much better restaurants in Cancun. Oh, and they already include a 15% gratuity onto the bill, which we were forced to pay. Which I strongly do NOT believe they deserve. Our waiter and kitchen staff definitely needs more training. And I feel really bad for the owner of this restaurant because I understand that he/she is trying to run a business and make money. But what I experienced eating here was not pleasant and it ruined my night.

A friend of mine(who has family in the area) recommended this restaurant and I was very glad that a bunch of us dropped by during our stay in Cancun. Service: The service was top notch! We always had clean utensils or plates in front of us. Our cup was always filled with sangria. And our food was served hot and in a very timely manner. Our server, Pedro, was very attentive and always smiling! Food: They provide complimentary garlic flat bread and it is made fresh to order each time. The spaghetti bolognese(as simple as it is) will blow your mind. It was a generous portion, so make sure you share it! We also ordered the ravioli, chicken Parmesan, chicken Marsala and the seafood linguine. All dishes were of generous portion and tasted very rich in flavour. Unfortunately, we didn’t leave room for dessert… But that just means we will have to come back here again ;) Atmosphere: Very romantic. Dim lights, comfortable seats, with beautiful views of the lagoon. You can either choose to sit outdoors or indoors. We opted for indoor as we wanted to enjoy the air conditioning. The restaurant also had a bag holder available by the table to put your stuff on. To top things off, there was a pianist that played great tunes half way through the night! The only negative comment I have(which explains the 4* rating) is that they try to serve you bottled water without mentioning the charge of ~$ 7usd. Perhaps it was a slight miscommunication since I don’t speak Spanish, but still… Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a good change of atmosphere from the resorts that you are staying at in Cancun. It’s an easy ten minute walk from la Isla, or a ten minute bus ride from any resort at the top of the seven.
