A small tequila tasting bar right on the walking street in the heart of Loreto!
We were walking along and saw this place one night. Stopped in and were greeted with some great service and even better people. The ‘bartenders’ were awesome, fun people to hang out with and sample their tequila and mescal. They speak good English too!
They do not have a kitchen but are happy to order and go get food from a restaurant next door.
We can’t wait to get back to this spot!

El Malquerido is a great, friendly little tequila shop, tasting bar, taverna, and restaurant.
The staff is friendly and tastes of their interesting tequilas are free. Some are pure tequila and others are flavored or mixes with fruit. Some of the tequilas are very special and would make great gifts for the aficionado.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and it is a relaxing place to get together with friends.
El Malquerido is about 250 feet west of the mission in Loreto on the right side of the tree lined street.
