(2007) This hotel is every bit as charming as it looks. I went there in November of 2007, a day AFTER Dias De Los Muertos. Walking the cobblestoned streets I saw remnants of the wonderful holiday littered everywhere with paper roses, sugar skulls and crosses. It was colorfully somewhat beautiful. This hotel does sit in the heart of downtown and does face a CHURCH whose bells may toll at random. It can get quite noisy between that and the propaganda trucks driving by blasting unnewsworthy things on their speakers. The hotel itself is true Mexican complete with lavish décor, water fountains and of course lots, and lots of tile! But if you want ROMANCE, AUTHENTICMEXICAN feel, great food, dining, and a fabulous massage(which I did get downstairs) it is every bit 5 star across the board. Suggestions: MINI-3DAYVACAY!
