Loreto has lots of good food, but our visit to the Giggling Dolphin made everyone in our group of 4 the happiest of all the places we visited. Everything we had there just seemed to be a notch above what we had elsewhere in town. The décor was a bit self-consciously cute for my taste — but the boat turned into a bar was very nicely done. The Giggling Dolphin is an open air establishment, and we were there on a windy day, but it remained pleasantly warm at our table — a big plus for the enjoyment of our meals.

The Giggling Dolphin is my first and last stop when I visit this beautiful paradise of Loreto! And what a way to begin and end a vacation! They have my favorite margaritas by far! My favorite dish is the Seafood Combo with the fresh catch of the day along with the vegetables and rice. Today I’m enjoying my margarita with clam with garlic. Not only are the drinks my favorite in town, this is hands down the place with the best atmosphere. Love the cabin cruiser boat that’s been transformers into a bar and the surf board table top. The owner, Ubaldo, is also very friendly and helps out with arrangements like panga trips to the island. Highly recommended! And free WIFI!

Good. Service was friendly, atmosphere nice, self powered margarita bike pretty amusing. Food good and affordable. Not exceptional compared to the other restaurants we sampled in town, but worthy. Coconut shrimp were exceptional, but the mango dipping sauce with them was not great. Veggies that came with dinners a bit overcooked, rice a bit watery and bland.
