Popular place for expats and locals. Friendly service, good menu and flavorful breakfast.

The fish is delicious. …had the cilantro fish and the mango fish. Service is slow so don’t plan on being in a hurry. The people working there were very nice. I was appalled how rude some of the tourists were to them. Rolling their eyes when they asked a clarifying question and another yelling at the waitress for tortillas. I hope they don’t behave this way always. …we are guests in this beautiful place. The michelada was delicioso!

Our favorite — AND we went back twice which is rare on vacation. It is right off the main drag in town, but don’t worry, it is all good. Prices are so reasonable — we each had a big ol margarita, guacamole, tostados as a starter(could have been a meal right there), then a delicious fish of the day entrée’. For 3 of us — $ 30. And, so well worth it. Loved the woman making fresh corn tortillas right on site. We ordered ½ dozen to go and cooked them up with some eggs for breakfast. We were serenaded by 3 sweet young men — although theirs voices were nothing to write home about — it was touching nonetheless. Wish our hotel were closer as breakfast looked to be $ 3! A special local place.

We had lunch at Orlandos this week and the as hrimp tacos were outstanding. Be sure to use all the sides they give you… including the lime. Very reasonable.

Orlando’s has it all — an easy walk from most spots on the tourist agenda, but just far enough off the main square to have reasonable prices along with great food. Jeff S. is absolutely right about dressing warm — other places in town lack solid walls as well, but somehow Orlando’s seemed to be the one where a cool breeze could find its way in the easiest. The food will also tend to cool off quicker under these conditions, but I suspect my visit was under the coldest conditions Loreto is likely to see, and I still enjoyed myself thoroughly — our waiter was able to offer a great variety of hot beverages, and we simply postponed our visit to the ice cream spot next door to another day.

This place is a gem. The food was excellent and it is basically gourmet food for low budget. Highly recommend the cilantro/mango fish or the Shrimp plates. You will leave here fat and happy and not feel like you drained your wallet. Service was friendly and prompt. I would have rated it 5 stars but the place is outdoors and has no floor so you should probably wear a jacket at night during the winter months.

My wife stopped here due to the recommendations of the locals. The cilantro fish was so good here that we came back here a couple times just to make sure we got it again before we left. There are other good items on the menu, and the place is reasonably priced. It is also nice that the local ice cream/Popsicle shop is next door.

Super fresh, super affordable, super awesome coconut shrimp. Nice atmosphere. Known for being slow to serve, not a bad thing but make sure to bring good conversationalists to diner with you.
