Gorgeous setting, nice menu but atrocious service. Early on we had a service spoon fall over to the ground, they picked it up but never replaced it. They brought out 3 tortillas while we waited and waited for our appetizers and we had to ask for more. We get to the main course and they forget my drink. They bring the dessert menu and we wait and wait. My wife is fed up, I say give them 5 more minutes … nothing.
I’ve stayed at and visited Viceroy all over. I’m a big fan. But this place does not live up to the name.

Service is excellent, ambience is very romantic and elegant even though you can also dress casual.
La Villa is the main restaurant of the Viceroy Zihuatenejo Hotel and Resorts and offers from breakfast to lunch to dinner, mexican and some international cuisine.
Being on the beach, lunch can also be served while you relax on a comfortable beach chair. During dinner, you can look at the beautiful Playa La Ropa and hear le waves crush.
Food is pretty good, guacamole made at the table is delicious.
Cocktails are good too.
I have seen a few couples at the restaurant for dinner, which were not guests at the Hotel. I guess they like La Villa for its ambience, service and food. Prices are fair cinsidering the level of the Hotel which is a 4 stars.
