Heard great things about this place and unfortunately we were disappointed. The appetizer was great full of flavor, Caesar salad was boring no flavor at all and not creative. I had Shrimp Onuz which was flavorless and my son had linguine and clams no taste very bland. They need to work in using spices fresh garlic basil and oregano which all grow here. Do not waste your money food has no flavors

By far the best Italian food I have ever had! It’s crazy because it is in Mexico! The best view of Playa La Ropa. This is definitely a tourist hot spot! I’ve been here both years I have come to the city. Perfect romantic restaurant and great service.

I’ve eaten here about 5 times over the last 6 years, mostly because my friends want to. Food tastes great but to my memory, every time after I had the runs, and no it isn’t montezumas. So no more no matter what my friends want. This is my review only. I’m not saying others aren’t right, my experience only.

If you are tired of tacos, this place is for you. Superb bolognese and the chick pram was mouth watering. Big portions and reasonable cost. The view is worth the price of admission alone.

It was the proverbial birthday that ends with a ZERO. a ZERO. sigh. And that’s why I found myself here in Paradiso. well close enough for moi anyway. I was very happy to be able to have italian here in wondrous Mexico and they did it up right for me. First, and most awesome are the views of this restaurant. You are basically outside but up on a hill so you catch the fantastic ocean down below you while you dine. Next was the great chardonnay that I consumed a few glasses of. it was cold enough and buttery enough. I’ve been drinking cervezas and margaritas while staying in this town so this was another nice find here. And, bread at the table? My, how welcoming for a change — in the days now where you have to beg for your bread and then expect to pay for it also! Not here. Finally spaghetti and clam sauce??? And done without a cream sauce or a tomato sauce? Tasting like only delicious clams instead? That’s how I like it the best! I like to taste the sweetness of those darling bivalve mollusks, or what’s the point right? Not to forget they had great caesar salads too. And the portions on all points was magnifique. And to end my birthday right, they could not just give me some little thing with a candle in it. Nope. they just overwhelmed me with this huge dessert that was basically soaked in chocolate sauce. or so I remember?

This was our third visit to Zihuatenejo and our fourth visit to Il Mare. You wouldn’t think to have Italian food while in vacationing in Mexico, but this place is so good, we can’t pass it by. Between the six of us, we had scampi, pork chops, lamb, and pastas. All of it fresh and cooked perfectly. And the service is spot on. Definitely worth missing a night of tacos and burritos.
