Trattoria Gianni is a wonderful addition to Zuhua’s vibrant restaurant scene and has clearly raised the bar for quality Italian food. Gianni and his wife, the chef, have created a wonderful space and menu and execute it all to perfection. They and their well trained staff are attentive, warm and helpful. The space, a lovely courtyard with a nearby open kitchen is lovely. Spacing between tables allows for quiet conversations.
The menu is a mixture of Italian traditional offerings from appetizers, salads, pastas, and mains. Our salads and pasta dishes were perfectly executed and accompanied by their delicious home made bread, which is otherwise a shortcoming in Zihua restaurants. And the tiramisu was exquisite: all ingredients are made on site and it shows in how lift yet flavorful it is.

One of our new favs here, food is great and priced right, salad shared, two bowls of pasta, 1 glass of wine, one bottled water 290 pesos. This is the best Italian n Zihua.

How often do you find an Italian restaurant run by a Venetian and married to a Mexican wife trained in Italy? Never!
What a great find. Gianni has his own garden behind his restaurant home and his staff is super polite. Fantastico lasagna and carbonara. Homemade bread and freshly made pasta is unbeatable all for very low prices.
