Cocina de Autor is the best fine dining restaurant in Vallarta. It is one of Thierry’s newer restaurants and is located adjacent to Café des Artistes. It is stunningly gorgeous too. There are many levels to the restaurant, including the cigar and cognac room. The inside dining room is stunning, but if you’re on a date, you NEED to request the upper level dining area. It is extremely secluded and you are underneath the stars, the giant trees, plants, flowers, and a giant rock waterfall. It’s sublime and very private. There are candles everywhere and lights throughout the branches of the trees. The food is good, but the ambiance is unlike any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Do not miss this restaurant when in PV!
