A nice little place with decent chocolate. Overall the taste is good, but not«the best chocolate I ever had». Some pieces are good, some are just okay. I liked the dark chili. In general they had quite a few dark chocolate pralines, I really liked that. The price is okay, a bit pricy for Mexico but compared to what you pay at say Bernard Callebaut it is a good price. The Pralines go by gram, I paid about 280 pesos for 16 pieces and they are not small. There is an ice cream place right next door, they belong together.

This is a nice little chocolate shop with surprizingly low prices, They make small chocolates with different fillings and chocolate bars. Individual Chocolates ran under 20 pesos each. For gifting the chocolate coco pod is cute and the boxes attractive. I found that the more unusual flavors were better. In some, especially the liquer ones the flavors were to subtle for me. While most were good to very good, of the chocalates I tried I liked the Cinnamon best(passian fruit was a close second) It is an atractive littte shop and the staff is friendly, So are the locals, coming out a local started chating to me about the place as I left. According to him it is owned by a Canadian woman.

For such a tiny shop, there sure is plenty of selection! And I was pleasantly surprised to discover Xocodiva makes a few [equally delicious] sugar-free items, which is fantastic news for any diabetics in town. This is where you come when grocery store chocolate just doesn’t cut it, and you need to treat yourself to the good stuff — the real stuff. Plus this is where I would come to buy an excellent quality, impressive gift. If you’re looking for a frame of reference, Xocodiva is similar in price to Godiva, Bernard Callebaut, or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory(depending on where you’re from in North America) but with that special quality that only comes from a local product.

Stopped through here with the Vallarta food tours. The chocolate here is amazing, tastes great. Too bad I didn’t get to come back and actually buy some. Everything in the store is freshly made and is packaged on site.

Not sure how else to share this stunningly wonderful little chocolate shop with you but I’ll stick it under restaurants and hope you find it. Maybe it should be listed under«Attractions» because, OH baby, it is an attraction alright. The chocolate girls(Carol and Char) came to town a number of years ago and immediately blew the doors off the local candy scene with their amazing homemade chocolates — truffles, filled, nut clusters, even hot chocolate in the cool season. You name it, they hand make some of the most delicious chocolates on the planet. Godiva eat your chocolate heart out! Recently moved to a new location on «restaurant row» between Café de Olla and Fajita Republic. Don’t miss this place or their wonderful little gourmet ice cream store(Lix) next door — I’m telling you both these places are deee –vine. You can thank me later.
