Great drinks, great beer fro Baja Brewing and good tacos. The taco with cheese for the shell was by far the best.

These guys take tacos to an interesting place. The combinations of flavors in each taco made it worth while. The fried scallop was my favorite and i was surprisingly let down by the cheese taco. The pairing of mescal with the tacos is great but out waiter got annoyed when i asked for a recommendation. All in all if you come to this part of town you should not miss out.

Great food, great service. la Gringa taco was amazing! Be cautious when trying the light pink sauce as it is very SPICY!

FRESH! So fresh. The tacos are amazing. Lots of creative and unique options to try, and everything tastes so fresh. Even the tortillas were being made in the courtyard next to the kitchen as we were eating. Décor is super hip too. Go!

Definitely order the Encrusted fish taco that was my favorite! The tomatillo salsa has great flavor. My husband had the fried cheese taco that our waiter recommended it was tasty and unusual but out of the 4 tacos we tried the fish encrusted one was the best. We enjoyed our tacos and it’s a casual inexpensive place to go for lunch. We ordered the most expensive Mescal tasting flight. I’ve never tried Mescal before– wow that was hard to get through but if you appreciate Mescal this is the place to come and try a tasting flight. The waiter made me a wonderful white sangria with apple slices. I would definitely come back for lunch.

We came here twice in the week that we were in Cabo. The tacos were all very good, but we really enjoyed the shrimp and cheese/pork taco. The mezcal flights were also delicious.

Tried grasshoppers here… :-) Ok, that wasn’t my favorite, but had nothing to do with the preparation, I mean when you order grasshopper, you know it won’t be your favorite. Felt like I belonged to PetsMart to go eat. The tacos though… Oh my… They were amazing. I can’t remember the name of the taco that I got, but it had a fried cheese crust, every bit was just delicious. The shrimp taco didn’t let me down either. Worth the drive to get to this place…

Yes, I’m giving La Lupita 5 well deserved stars which, as you can see from all my other reviews, is rare rating for me. Why 5 stars? After spending 6 days eating at many of the well known, and highly rated restaurants in San Jose, this was our favorite meal. I live in Texas and therefore I love tacos. Legit tacos. I might even be a bit of a taco snob and I can say, these were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. I’m serious. They have a ton of tacos to choose from and we tried about 4 or 5 of them and they were all really good. I would say their pork or fish tacos really shined. We didn’t try any of the mezcals but we did have a few of their drinks. The La Lupita was really good! Probably the best drink I had all week. The service was really fast and the inner courtyard area was perfect for a nice dinner outside. Overall, I can’t find anything I’d change about La Lupita Taco and Mezcal! I wish we had gone here early in the week because we would have been here more than just once.

Most amazing tacos ever. Add this to your Cabo list immediately! Try the duck taco with mole … Hands down the best taco I’ve ever had

Best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had! Partner and I shared a flight of 3 premium tequilas, had 3.5 tacos each, 2 sides, 1 beer, and 1 margarita, plus a dessert for less than $ 70USD! Some of the best food and drinks we’ve ever had and we eat out a lot — especially Mexican! The service was outstanding, the location was super nice and fun. If I lived here, I’d go here weekly!

I absolutely loved the taco offerings… with the Santo Pastor being my favorite. Since I had to share with my seven-year-old, I ordered two! A lovely, laid-back ambience for a lovely evening with friends … And kids. The dessert is also to die for.

Very interesting place to eat. Portions aren’t large but food is delicious. And the mescal flight was very interesting and informative.

In searching for a fish taco, we came upon La Lupita. What we found was so much more than we expected. Amazing, inspired combinations such as duck mole, delicious mescal tamarind martini, and a tasting of artisanal mescals that opened a door into a whole new world of hand crafted, smokey liquor I can’t wait to explore. The staff was attentive and helpful, the food superb, and I highly recommend La Lupita!

Great restaurant. Not a hole in the wall and not fancy, just a great atmosphere. They had live music on a Saturday night. Great staff and bartender, great drinks, and plenty of tacos to choose from. Octopus and duck were our favorites. Their house drink, La Lupita, was a great twist on a traditional margarita. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for good food without the crazy resort prices and a fun night out.

Ohhhh man… this was a major let down. We were staying in San Jose Del Cabo at an all inclusive resort, but we wanted to get out of the buffet rut and try something in town. Once I saw the reviews, I HAD to try this out. It was a mission to get here(thanks, cab driver…) but we made it safely. Once we sat down, they asked if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered the Tamarind Martini, and my boyfriend got the La Lupita. I loved the drinks! We were off to a good start. They brought over the 4 different kinds of salsas… but no chips to accompany. So we ordered a side of the charro beans, which sounded really tasty. We figured they came with chips… nope. They brought them for us anyway since we asked. But this is where the disappointment starts: the beans had absolutely NOFLAVOR. I couldn’t taste the chorizo, onion, or chile. They were extremely bland. The tacos we ordered were unfortunately the same: BLAND. We ordered La Gringa, Drunken Barbacoa, and the Roasted Ribs. La Gringa had the most flavor, but it was all in the tortilla, which was the«crunchy cheese tortilla,» but that was soggy. This was the only taco we finished. The barbacoa was the most bland — we did not even finish one of these tacos. The roasted ribs had a very strange flavor. Usually salsa can remedy any taco, but the salsa could not make up for the major lack of flavor here. Don’t know if we just came on a MAJOR off night, but I don’t plan on stopping by again any time soon when I’m back in the area. Thank goodness for Southern California Mexican food. :)

The best Gringas I’ve ever had! La Costra the Pastor has to be the best invention I’ve tried so far. Every single one of the items in the menu is amazing, and I can tell you that because we tried every single one of them, we were there two days in a row and could not have enough of it. And to set the perfect mood the band Pura Vida played all night and it was awesome, AWESOME! The people working there really seemed to enjoy their job, the service is amazing, everyone was quite nice, professional and friendly, of course, it is Mexico, it is in their blood!

RIDICULOUSLYDELICIOUS!!! I walked in thinking too gringo… and am now ready to sleep under the bar to eat here again. The salsas are insanely good, the drinks and service PERFECT. The food… oh my goodness… three of us ate totally different things and not one of them could we complain about. So go there and eat what appeals to you from reading the menu. I can’t imagine being disappointed. I loved it so much I am going back tomorrow. They also carried a Mexican porter that was unbelievably delicious as well. EATHERE

I can’t believe I’m the first Unilocal reviewer, this place is so good and packed! The tacos here are amazing, and pretty cheap(comparing to the US)! We especially liked the lamb, short ribs, and the pork tacos, we actually liked any taco we ordered. We also ordered the shrimp ceviche and guacamole, i wish the ceviche had some fish and more lime in it. I would stick to tacos and guacamole! The decoration is also really cute and lively. We loved the back patio, painted wooden container tables and all the colors! The service is very friendly and fast. The mix drinks where pretty good, i think they could have been better, I wasn’t a huge fan of spicy salt around the Margarita or with the Mezcal . We had lunch here the first day of our trip, and ended up going back for a saturday night dinner(even though we were not hungry! Since the tacos were so good), and then the next day for lunch. The live music on the Saturday night was also really good!
