I wanted to love this restaurant. Unilocal gave it a good review. The owner was sitting out front and was very congenial. The open air setting was very nice… and live music. I found the waiter to be totally incompetent and tried twice to order a salad as described on the menu and the second time it was close but still did not have all the listed ingredients. I had the fish of the day which was Seabass with the garlic sauce and that was great. The tortilla soup was also very good. I question why Unilocal is only giving it one $ for price because our dinner with one entrée when soup and one salad cost 500 pesos, about $ 31. We chose this restaurant although it was about a half-mile walk from our resort because of the one $ and because they say they have organic produce. restaurants right across from the resort where really similar in price and have two $$.

Their strawberry margarita was good but the mango was better. Sadly, I asked if they had taquitos American style and the server said he could make flautas. I said perfecto. When they came they were not fried in a flour tortillas but corn. So I got taquitos and practically without any chicken inside. It was a huge disappointment. My mom was ready to go into the kitchen and show the cook how to make both flautas and taquitos…

Took the family for breakfast on a weekday. Immediate seating and a reasonable selection for roughly the same price as the resort. The problem here is the service. I tried to order steak and eggs but the waiter told me I should get chorizo and eggs. Only problem is I do not like chorizo. So back to the menu and just get hot cakes that are hard to get wrong. Now the waiter wants to ridicule me for not wanting chorizo. He goes on to make a snide comment every time he comes back to the table. Come here if you have some need to be abused by the wait staff or go any where else if you want to enjoy your time with family.

Nommy! If you are looking for some cheap, sanity and yummy Mexican food, come here. We hit this place during Hurricane Sandra while we were hunting for WiFi and a restaurant that was brave enough to be open during the storm(and serving liquor). This place has a thatched outdoor patio with about 8 tables, an indoor ‘bar’/office area and a backroom restaurant. We hung out for a couple hours noshing on breakfast and tacos and enjoying cheap eats in a relaxed atmosphere. I wanted to order a weird mash up of steak and scrambled eggs(for my hangover) and the waiter was super accommodating. Guacamole was awesome and my buddy loved her tacos making purring noises at the salsa and high-quality meat. The whole bill came to $ 20 and was well worth it. There were plenty of other good looking things on the menu and they clearly cater to both local and gringo crowds as they have ‘NY Style’ breakfasts with less beans and more potatoes. Don’t come if you’re looking for table clothes, air conditioning or a spotless interior. This place is local and if you want pristine, stay at your hotel restaurant and have the breakfast buffet.

Nice shaded outdoor patio with lots of seating. Service is nice but on a bit of the slow time(Mexican time). No problem since we weren’t in a rush. Their smoothies are pretty good and the food isn’t too bad either. I got a shrimp omelet and the shrimp was very fresh though the omelet as a whole was on the small side. Their credit card machine wasn’t working so we had to pay cash. Overall a nice place to grab a bit to eat!

Great outdoor atmosphere with pretty cheap local Mexican food. Free wifi. Breakfast all day mainly Mexican style with some American style food.
