Mr. Lionso Playa Bruja

We have been to Mazatlan many times but this is our first time at this restaurant. The service is very pleasant. Ask them for their special off menu suggestion. You might get their best catch of the day and they will prepare it to your order.
Pricing is affordable.

Amazing food! Incredible prices. Party of 5, we all ate seafood dishes, which in the states usually cost an arm and a leg… And we all had a couple rounds of beer… 57 dollars… Food was amazing! I ordered chicken strips for my 5 year old. That honestly could have fed three of us. The coconut shrimp was HUGE and SO good! Highly recommend this spot!

As a tourist, I thought this place was really great! The resort we were staying at didn’t have a lot of seafood to choose from but Mr. Lionso had a big variety!
Walking down the beach from the Riu, we were able to walk right up from the beach. There is a shower to wash off your feet if you need it. It can get busy when the surfers come in from a day out on the water.
We were greeted and given samples of tequila that they make and sell there. We loved the coffee flavour.
We ordered our drinks and I guess it was 2 for 1, based on the reviews, it seems its always 2 for 1? No idea. But it was a great surprise! The caesar wasn’t Canadian quality but they tried.
They had free wifi which was pretty awesome.
The service was a bit on the slow side but they were able to seat us right away and it was very busy. We ordered the shrimp to dip which was a big plate of shrimp served with vinegar-​y cucmbers and red onions as well as a green dipping sauce on the side. It was very fresh and enjoyable.
I ordered the chicken fajitas which came with flour tortillas, refried beans, and guacamole. I used the salsa from the free salsa and chips to add some more to it. There was a bit of cheese on the beans and guac but I love a ton of cheese on my fajita so that would be the only thing really missing for me. It was very good and quite a huge helping.
Some other tables had someone cook their meal in front of them on a flaming skillet. It was really fun to watch.
We were not able to finish all of the food since there was just SO much!
This was a great change of place from the resort buffet with a ton of great options. There’s a few vendors in and around the area if you wanted to purchase any souvenirs.
Great spot for tourists!

This place was pretty great. Perfect view of the water watching the surfers. Food was great, I had the shrimp fajitas. We ordered a beer and shot then learned it was happy hour so 2 for 1! Def be back before the trip is over.

We had chicken fajitas & hamburgers. Fajitas were really good. Would not recommend the hamburgers … This is Mx, eat sea food, chicken Mex style along with local favorites. Can’t miss if you establish rapport with wait staff ad ask for recommendation.

Mucho tiempo de espera para unos platillos (más de media hora) y el sabor no está tan chido. Lo único que valió la pena fue la piña colada.

Great restaurant with beautiful views of mazatlan! Service was excellent. They have great happy hour Buy 1 Get 1 free. Dinner was nicely priced and way more than we could eat overlooking the beach, a perfect setting for a perfect dinner. Stage is set for a band and now music till 2am.

Used to be amazing but no more. They have become very commercialized and sell zip line tours as an appetizer. They also never have lobster any more despite it being on the menu and other restaurants having it. The service the other night was horrible and to add insult to injury no more «happy hour every hour» and they have substantially increased their prices. Bottom line is don’t go there

Tomaron un segundo aire porque este lugar dio un giro. Es muy bonito, excelente vista a la playa Brujas y excelente servicio. Los desayunos muy bien servidos y a un precio aceptable.
