Wanted something to just grab and go, so we decided to give this place a try. Place wasn’t too crowded and service was quick. Prices were also reasonable. However, we were so glad that we bought just one burger to share because after taking couple bites, we had a very difficult time finishing that one burger. In all fairness, it may have been our choice of burger and that we are not big fans of beetroot.

I’ve been around the world seeking out great burgers but Burger Fuel certainly ranks up there in truly wonderful fast food. You’ve got amazing options like the Fush n Chups. My girlfriend is vegan so she’s even able to eat there! I like the atmosphere a lot here, what with its décor and quality… and the fries are no slouch too! the fact that you can grab affordable meals here in Auckland city is a definite great thing!

Great selection of veggie burgers and low prices. Fried stuff was greasy but not exceptional so. Good p re iple and food, given what it is.

Interesting place. Saw them all over town, so we decided to give it a go… Not bad. Not great, either. The burgers were hot, as were the fries, and the dipping sauce the served was awesome! To me, it was just another burger joint, BUT… The coolest thing was the little doohickey they give you to catch the drippings. That was funny to us, but worked like a champ!

WOW… this gourmet burger place lives up to its guarantee on Its packaging. And it’s not only the fresh tasting ingredients but also the tasty grass fed beef that adds to the deliciousness. And on top of taste they have a unique menu which sort of makes this place the Unburger place. I’ve eaten at other gourmet burger places, but their menu is unique and genuine. Forget the age old ketchup; enjoy their unique mayonnaise served with fries. This place also has options for your«food requirement» or «food restricted» friends., so don’t rule this place out if your friends have food restrictions. And forget about all the other fast food joints surrounding this great fooderie. The menu is so unique yet doesn’t deviate too far from hamburgers. I challenge this group to engineer a coffee and dessert place with the same spirit and plant it right next door. I

Good service, fast! The food was reasonably priced, tasty, and there was a lot of it! It is a nice walk from my hotel and the reviews were promising, I’m glad that this chain lives up to the reviews. It seems to use mostly local ingredients too. Tastes better than a lot of the burger chains in/from America.

like the idea of a 1⁄3 pounder burger but would prefer it to be more like McDonald’s. Fries good. worked out what a doofer is in the end. Would return.

So nice to see a burger place with more than one vego option! They had three! I went with the Combustion Tofu & it was awesome. Perfectly cooked, amazing peanut satay sauce.(Also comes with aioli but if you want the vegan option you can just ask for no aioli.) Spud fries were crunchy on the outside & fluffy in the middle, but it did taste like they needed to change their oil.

I swear Burger Fuel is like the Sal’s of burgers — huge portions(big macs are nothing compared to these babies) slightly more pricey than your average burger(around $ 6 – 13 for the burger only, depending on what you choose) fresh ingredients, yum sauces(their aioli with fries is THEBOMB) a small store size with low amounts of seating and large queues for food during lunch/dinner hours(which means that during lunch/dinner hours you might not get a seat!) Not to worry though — you can order online! The staff there are also super helpful and if you eat halal food only Burger Fuel can prepare your food halal(yay!) and if you’re vegan, you can customize you burger to make it vegan friendly(double yay!) and you can also upgrade your bun to gluten free if you’d like. Another big plus I love about Burger Fuel is that they always try to be eco friendly — they use paper from sustainable and renewable forests, and their burger holders(which is super useful — no need to worry about spilling your burger fillings or get dirty hands — and it’s free!) is also made of recycled paper and is constantly redesigned so it’ll use less paper and be easier to assemble. With super good and fresh burgers, eco friendliness, a clean store, friendly and helpful staff, and online ordering available — i’m pretty sure this is as good as it gets for burgers in Auckland, even if you have to pay a tad bit more and might not get a seat in store during lunch/dinner hours.

I am inlove with burger fuels aoli… no other aoili compares. I could eat that aoli all day long. I love the burgers esp ones with beetroot, my fav being the bio fuel and I love the malt shakes esp banana mmmmm. and you just gotta love the duffers they have for the burgers… genius The service at this location was good. The guys were friendly. This location does get really busy during lunch though so you may want to call in if you dont want to wait too long.

I remember when Burgerfuel came along, it was competing with Gourmet Burger and Buger Wisconsin. in some ways its sad to see the decline of its competition but in other ways Burgerfuel is still some good saucey mixtures caught between toasted bread buns that needs no competition. The inside is very neon Americana and they often don’t have a lot of sit down room(especially in CBD) but they make up for it with tasty food.

Burger Fuel is very American-influenced, with flat screen tv, booth like seats that furnish the walls, communal table with tasteful chocolate-coloured stools. Wholesome menu including children’s menu(motobites, hamburgini with cheese) vegetarian(Beetnik GT, V-Dub Vege) or everything else munch on(bacon backfire, burnout or ford freak out)!! Great ambience sit in or takeout. Normally fast service and the staff are very happy to elaborate on the menu content, at high(verbal) speed:) Great burger joint, for everyone.

Try as I might to give up fast food, the folks at Burger Fuel have me beat every time. There’s something so satisfying about being able to order a truly enormous vegetarian burger with a patty crafted and cooked to perfection and then promptly doused in enough incredible aioli to make this diner super happy. Burger Fuel are really great at allowing changes to burgers, so I’ll often get the V8 Vegan and cram it full of cheese and sauce; I also have friends that will get the V8 Vegan and add bacon! So we’re a bit sacrilegious; sue us. I’ve taken to also picking up Motobites, which are tasty little vegetarian bites to go with your meal. They’re a great addition to the menu and I’m so glad they’ve had staying power.

Om nom nom nom! Burger fuel is so delicious just writing about it makes me want to leave the house and go buy a burger. I always end up getting the small burgers because I can never finish the big ones. They are just so big I can probably eat one burger for two different meals. The Queens Street store is always busy and full of hungry people. I guess it is always busy because they never fail to deliver amazing service and food. Once in a while you get a bit too much mayo on the burgers or you get a burger that is on the burnt side of things. I will forgive as the malt milkshakes are delicious.

When I came here for the first time a year or so ago, I had not had a burger in 14 years since I went vegan and I don’t eat fast food but Burger Fuel is different. This is real food. I had a V8 vegan, that is one mean burger. The chickpea and pumpkin patty is so tasty and all the ingredients are very fresh, even the burger bun was amazing. I have been back several times since and Burger Fuel is consistently impressive. The staff are great too, the service is quick and even though they don’t do their Foursquare check in deal with the free coke zero, they are still awesome because they have those cardboard holders for your burger. Genius because it stops the insides falling out all over the place, you don’t want to waste these burgers. If you’re wanting a burger, this is the place to come. This one can get really busy though so be prepared to have to take it out.

Living in Auckland does have its perks and one of them is quality fast food joints like Hell Pizza and Burger Fuel. We come here regularly and are never disappointed. I get the third pounder with cheese — less aioli of course. It’s a big ass burger but really fills you up. They put just the right amount of gherkins and dijon mustard to make it just right. My wife gets the vegetarian beetnik burger which is also very good. The thick cut chips are nice but often you do need much chips after a third pound burger. I sometimes get a milkshake but lately I have been getting the glass bottle of Coke from the fridge — there’s something about coke from a glass bottle, it just tastes much better. The service is friendly and your order normally arrives within about ten minutes. Like I’ve said I can’t complain about Burger Fuel and will continue to come here.
