I’ve been a regular here for over a year and while the location is absolutely stunning(right by the waterfront) they need to improve their coffee standards. It’s been inconsistent(some days its nice hot and creamy and some days weak and warm and some days just too acidic) Service has always been good until today — let me explain : I have a Sofitel loyalty card which gives me a discount on coffee purchases and I bring my own cup(KeepCup) which entitles me to an additional discount. So I’ve been paying $ 3.40 for my medium trim latte so far. Today the guy(the same guy who has seved me coffee for the last 12 months) decided to charge $ 4.10. As a regular customer I had the right to question and so I did and he cheekily replied«You’ve gotta a large cup thats why». I disagreed and said its the same cup but I didn’t wanna argue as there was a huge line behind me. Its not about the $$ but his attitude was just not right. So for that reason I’m not going to be going here anymore for my twice weekly coffee fix when I’m at work.

Enjoyed this café so much, for fresh and delicious food. You can order from the counter or even off the menu board. Coffee is strong and very taste full, well designed and crafted. The smoothies are fresh and zesty. I had a salmon baguette which was devine. I really liked that you are gazing out at beautiful boats and yachts, and of course the city skyline with the sky tower in view. The staff are very friendly and definitely worth a mention, they loved entertaining my little son. All very chic and french styled as of course the Sofitel is a french hotel chain. You do get the international experience which I loved!

Great little café in the Sofitel Viaduct hotel. Nice breakfast, great coffee, outdoor seating, newspapers, whatever you want. Try the eggs with chili beans in a tortilla. They were very tasty. And nothing beats a cold day like a hot mochaccino.
