There are two parts to this place, upstairs is the restaurant part called«Portobello Fine Dining» We have eaten here a few times now. It does get busy at the weekend, so maybe wise to book if in groups. I have had a couple of their dishes and really enjoyed them, the duck is my favourite. There is also TV’s screens showing the big sporting events, so you can enjoy while you eat. Downstairs is the main bar area, with sufficient seating, and an outdoor area for smokers. TV screens are also dotted around so you can keep up with the action. Tuesday nights they host very poplar«Believe It Or Not» quiz. Often hard to find a spare table unless you have booked your team in advance. Worth a visit as it’s often fun and entertaining. They have a variety of bar food available. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Known as the main hang out for cougars in Pukekohe, this place is often packed with a slightly older crowd — say 20 – 40 age range. They have a good selection of drinks and food here, and this is one of the main bars on this side of Auckland. They have a restaurant up top called Portobello which I’ve never been to myself. I once got some chunky fries from the bar — and they are *chunky* — big thick slabs of potato as they should be. Ed Street has TVs which showcase all the major sports games on, making it popular on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a large outdoor area suitable for smokers, and the staff are nice. It’s good for a casual drinks night out with mates, or if you want to pick up MILFs.
