Roof Tech

I don’t like to write bad reviews (you can check my ratings) but I was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED.
Roof-​tech has a lovely website and gave us a competitive quote for a roofing job we needed to be done. And considering the pictures and testimonials they have on their website, they seem like a very trustworthy roofing company.
We hired them to do a roofing job. The job started well until we noticed that the material used was not the same as the one quoted; they used a thinner, cheaper material than requested. We were stunned as to how none of the workers noticed this «mistake», the manager apologised about the situation so we let this incident slip.
Following this, Roof-​tech demanded the final installment/​payment as the job was near completion. We checked the roofs again and many things were done sloppily, including the screws too deep (damaging rubber seals), some not locked in properly (thus not creating a seal), and even some missing. Rubbish and left-​over materials were left lying around everywhere on the roofs.
We promised payment within 10 days if the job was fixed up and Roof-​tech agreed. They asked for the final installment saying that the job was done, but upon further inspection, no work had been done! We informed them that we would not be making the final payment as the job was incomplete and they threatened to take the roof apart.
They said the job could be done within 5 working days with fine weather, but this job has taken more than 2 months, which has had more than 20 working days of good weather.
The job is not yet complete, but I feel obliged to inform other consumers looking for roofing companies to be aware of the experience that we had with Roof-​tech.
Very disappointed not only in quality of the job that Roof-​tech has done so far, but also in the way we were treated as clients.
