I was craving a burger the other night around 8pm, and I decided it was finally time to try this place I’ve walked past heaps of times. My husband and I both got cheeseburgers, and some hot chips to share. Be warned — the burgers at this place are HUGE. They came with meat, cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mayo — although I thought the condiments were a little lacking. For me, it wasn’t really a winner — the meat was kind of flavourless, and with not much sauce to mask it, it made me sad. The chips were good, though, easily enough for two people and hot and crunchy. I’m giving them 3 stars because although I didn’t like my burger, my husband loved his, and the service and chips were good, so maybe I’m just being a bit picky.

A kebab store is a kebab store right? Wrong. This kebab store is slightly better. I usually end up eating kebabs when I have just given up on trying to choose something either healthy or interesting, this occasion was no different. After walking down Broadway weighing up all the different options in my mind, pricing, taste, nutritional value, I all of a sudden reached point of hopelessness and walked into the kebab store. One falafel kebab combo coming right up. It was probably the biggest kebab I have ever had, made in a tortilla wrap, not the turkish bread you find in some kebab shops. The falafel was very tasty and the vegetables seemed fresh enough, more or less a generic kebab but usually large. Go there if you are hungry.
