Great Korean food that i always eat when in town. Haven’t tried the grill yet however i have tried their lunch menus. First time was great as i was seated in the front and the waiter kept coming up to me. My next visit was a bit slower as we were seated in the back and the restaurant was busy. Other wise good restaurant to come and eat with friends.

Really great taste for Korean grill! Highly recommended to come in and have a try! Only the price is a little expensive.:)

Fantastic in every way is how we could sum it up. It being a Monday there was no trouble just walking in and getting a table, at least I think that’s why. We had originally planned to go elsewhere but it was closed so we ended up being here and it worked out to be a worthwhile choice. We did not sit at the area with cushions but instead one of the tables in the front part by the kitchen. The waiting staff are awesome. From start to finish. From bringing menu, to taking order, bringing tea without prompting, asking if any other drinks are needed, to bringing food, and cooking the meat perfectly for you. And to top this all off they are friendly too. We ordered the Ara set menu which consists of a whole lot of sides(some being salad, Kim chi, onion, etc), three meat portions of pork, beef and chicken. And 2 prawn too. We were given tiny pancakes as starters before all this and a desert of ice cream at the end. We think their method of the bbq here is great… you have the grill plate and directly above it hangs like a ventilation pipe which they sit directly over the grill thereby eliminating any smoke drifting around as it is sucked directly up the hose. It is $ 80 for 2 people for this set menu and is worth every dollar and little cent. The food is fantastic, the staff looked after the cooking on the grill which they do very well. To sum up… great food, great service, good atmosphere within and a meal worth every cent.

If your looking for a great quality Korean BBQ this is the place. There are a good variety of dishes to choose from– but being a foodie, I say when visiting a restaurant, have what the restaurant do best. In this case: the BBQ. Alongside my choice of meat I also ordered set table menu which came with several side dishes and soy bean soup, which gave me a good selection to pick and choose from for each bite of the meat. I recommend that you try avoid peak times for this restaurant. It can get crowded. But if you manage to avoid the crowd, you definitely do get a better service. I had my meat done by a waitress who got our meat cooking to perfection!

Traditional and simply the best and most exquisite Korean food. New menus constantly. The best and finest.

When they say traditional, they mean traditional. Apparently a favourite haunt of Asian superstars passing through Auckland, Faro has stunning décor and delectable Korean food. Chairs which look like cushions, dim, ambient light protruding from the walls, friendly, helpful hosts, as well as the ability to cook your own meat sets this place apart. They bring the grill to you and the heat comes from the ceiling, so you can cook all your favourite BBQ dishes. Order some bok choy and sauces to go with it, and you’re in for a delicious night. If you share your food with friends tapas style, it’s really inexpensive. Try it sometime!
