If you are truly a lover of über-cool chic understated style, then this exquisite emporium is a must visit. Owner, Claudia, is a professional stylist with her finger on the zeitgeist of all things hip!
From cowhide rugs to European linen sheets, furniture, accessories, scented candles, plants … And oh, don’t start me on the shells!!! I nearly faint with a mixture of happiness and excitement as I lust and leche-vitrines and frequently purchase!
With a vibe that’s a little bit Byron Bay Bo-Ho, a little bit Scandi, a little South African and by Kiwi standards in a unique class of it’s own, this Newmarket retaile space is to die for.

If you’ve ever wondered how many shades of Grey there are in the world, never fear because Indie Home will happily educate you. The place is pretty chic and filled with trendy pieces that are just bland enough to suit any interior. I was personally quite put off by the presence of culturally insensitive art (an overpriced print of a skull in Native American headdress, for example) and the uppity staff. There may well be some great pieces in this store, but after a quick scout around I just ended up buying a little succulent and vowing to shop elsewhere in the future.
