Murder Burger

Really big burgers that taste good, not great. They call tater tots «koftas» for some reason – maybe to help justify their high price. Not worth the money, in my opinion.

Just had the Double Beef n Wild Boar Bacon Burger, man these guys know how to make awesome burgers. it was so filling and the flavour was just unbeatable. spoke to the chef to find out they make their own sauces on site i am sure you wont find that anywhere else

This time of year, we build up the expectation of what the big fella is going to leave under the Christmas Tree. This same feeling of built up excitement was felt when I found out the renowned Murder Burger was opening down the road from home. Alas, rather than finding this years top toy, it felt like I had been left holding a piece of fruit and half the mince pie which Santa left behind.
First off, let me start by saying the service was fine, welcomed by smiling (nervous) staff, who welcomed us and sent us off with a fond farewell. Now, the food. The steak fries were good but the burgers, these «Super Gourmet» burgers weren’t all that super. I had the Double beef and wild boar bacon burger, whilst Mrs. D had the scotch fillet steak burger. The steak burger was full of sinew and lacked that quality element… taste! Despite the epic size of my double patty and bacon burger, I’ve had tastier whoppers.
You have to wonder if the management did their homework, opening below a very popular foodcourt, which boasts great food and good value. They have a lot of work to do to pull in local Manukau punters, especially with Ponsonby prices!
