Been here on a few occasions, usually rather enjoyable. The last visit a few weeks ago, not so much. Our group consisted of adults and children aged 1 — 14. The restaurant was far from being busy for a public holiday as well as a Friday night. Drinks took about half an hour to arrive. Meal orders took their sweet time to arrive & got ridiculously muddled up, a few orders(including kids meals) didn’t even arrive at the table until we asked where they were. The staff are however friendly, but the service we received for the night was a no go. Sadly, we won’t be dropping anything to head back there anytime soon.

Food was OK, nothing special. Limited menu for a family. We all agreed that the main course had no real flavour. Ordered large drinks, but arrived in small glasses, and charged for large. Would not eat in there again ! The staff did try, not asked if we required further drinks. We shall not be dining there again, it looks so promising, but failed to deliver

Cobb & Co brings me back to my childhood down in Invercargill playing Batman on the Sega and chilling out on the playground. Unfortunately, Manukau’s Cobb & Co lacks these particular attractions, so some of the charm is gone. Still, you get the traditional placemats you can do crosswords on and homemade style meals to tickle your fancy. The environment is warm and inviting, like you’ve just happened into someone’s very large living room. The staff are usually onto it, though they do occasionally miss the mark and forget you’re there. I usually leave feeling satisfied, but not amazed. Not that they need a Sega to amaze me, but perhaps more variety in their menu?
