Highly recommended. Great food. Excellent service. Naans need a bit of work but are still good. Lunch offers are real value for money. Good service and friendly staff

Best. Butter. Chicken. EVER. Seriously guys, this is as good as Indian food gets. Flavoursome and spicy, almost every curry I’ve had(and I sampled most of the menu) has impressed me. The butter chicken is the best of them all, though. I have tried to find another restaurant that does it better and gave up after 10+ attempts. Indoi in Newmarket and Chawla on Wellesley street come close but just lack that wow factor that Nite Spice’s butter chicken has every single time I get it from there(which is almost every week — a family tradition). The beautiful smokey, slightly charred chicken in the curry is plentiful, which is a nice change from curries where you get two lonely bits of meat in a sea of gravy. Naan is really really good too, it’s of the light and bubbly variety rather than the doughy thick bread that some other places serve. Don’t bother with Malai Kofta and the indo-chinese range — they’re not as good as some other curries. The staff are always efficient and friendly, no complaints there. There is this slightly-less-good-than-the-lunch-deal dinner deal where you pay $ 10 for a main with rice Mon-Wed. You have to get the bread and the drink separately if you want them but honestly considering the quantity(huge portion!) and quality of the curry you shouldn’t mind paying a little extra for those(optional) add-ons.

I honestly felt guilty enjoying a meal of this quality and paying only $ 10. Lunch special is curry(I had butter chicken), rice, and Naan with Masala tea for $ 1 more. I challenge anyone to find a meal this good and plentiful at this price. I would have paid double.

When I am in the mood for Indian food, I am really in the mood for Indian food. Ninety five percent of the time the thought of Indian food does not appeal to me whatsoever, but then there are those times when I cannot decide what to eat, and it suddenly occurs to me that I want nothing more than a hot curry and a naan bread. Nite Spice is definitely one of the restaurants I will consider during such times. The food is good and so is the service. I actually feel that the food and service are slightly too good considering the price, it is quite cheap considering.

A group of us used to come to Nite Spice every Wednesday for dinner, because it was cheap and delicious. These days it’s the place I go to catch up with friends and sometimes for birthday dinners and other get-togethers. They have special dinner deals Monday to Wednesday, a main with rice and naan for about $ 11, and for the rest of the week it’s not that expensive, usually around $ 17 dollars for a main. It’s BYO and they’ve got plenty of drinks on the menu too. Best chicken saagwala around in my opinion, and their korma is pretty good too, just get a raita! The service is fantastic with all the waiters perfectly presented, and the counter staff are always friendly. They greet you when you come in the door and get you seated as well. Highly recommended.

A reasonably priced Indian restaurant which serves good quality curry. They do good deals on lunch and dinner. For lunch you can get curry, rice and naan for $ 10(Add a dollar for a drink). Mind you, I don’t know how necessary the naan is unless you’ve skipped breakfast and are ravenous. You can get a good deal on dinner too — $ 10 for curry and rice on Mon — Wed. The last time we went, I tried the Chicken Saagwala(Chicken cooked in pureed spinach) which was excellent. My wife had the Aloo Gobi(Cauliflour curry) as a main course and she too was impressed. I sometimes find Indian restaurants a bit hit and miss in Auckland but this certainly hit the spot.
