I popped in here for a takeaway sushi lunch. It’s definitely a takeaway shop! There are tables & chairs available, but there is zero atmosphere. Great range of sushi rolls available, as well as typical Japanese fare such as sashimi, takoyaki(my favourite!), miso etc. They are freshly handmade too, so for a short wait, you can guarantee your lunch hasn’t spent all day sitting in the display. We went for a shared tuna mayo & teriyaki chicken roll(boring I know!), a «Caterpillar» roll(tempura prawn with avocado wrapping) and an Eskimo Roll(California Roll layered with baked salmon on top). The tuna was… well, tuna! The teriyaki chicken was really tasty, but the caterpillar roll was a little bland. My favourite was the Eskimo — the baked salmon on top was delicious! The best part was that being freshly made, the rice was still slightly warm! Yummy soy sauce too, slightly sweeter than usual. It’s a hard neighbourhood for Japanese with the excellent Sake Bar Nippon only a couple of doors down the road, but if you need a healthy takeaway lunch, you could do worse.
