Great food — but some teething issues as this place gets going. I don’t want to jump the gun here, but we might have another Teed Street Larder on our hands with waitstaff who don’t know the menu, or the prices, or what the hell you’re talking about when you try to pay a split bill. I went with six friends on a Saturday morning at 11am. We had coffees as we waited for stragglers. When they arrived, our(lovely, friendly) waitress had a bit of a freak out about moving a table over to fit them in. Then she forgot to come back and take their coffee orders, or our food orders, for quite some time. I shared the Turkish platter for two. It was an extremely generous size, and full of my favourite antipasto things. The green olives were great and the breads were unexpectedly stuffed with creamy cheese. The Turkish big breakfast was really good too, but I think our platter was the best thing anyone ordered. Look forward to going back here when its grown into itself.

I thought I’d check out Panscape as the Herald gave it 5 stars — not that that means much — but the reviewer also mentioned they did a good Turkish mezze breakfast. And I’m a sucker for anything to do with Middle Eastern cuisine. So I came for a solo brunch and grabbed a coffee and the continental Turkish breakfast. And I have to agree with the Herald. It’s 5 stars. You get brioche for the bread and a fried egg with chorizo cooked in the egg itself and on the side. Amazing. Then you get a separate plate with haloumi, feta, olives, tomato, cucumber and a mix of spreads(2 types of fruit jam, oil, honey and a savoury Branson pickle type thing). It was great. And such a good size for the price. The coffee was perfect and the service was good. I’m going to be making this place a local!

Had a wonderful generously sized, masterfully cooked breakfast of Turkish sausages and eggs. The flat white coffee was delicately prepared with obvious care to technique — great place for breakfast!

Panscape is no Trojan horse. Serving modern Turkish fare including a delicious lamb and fig pide, calamari olivero(with arugula and lemon olive oil), and Canterbury lamb shish from midday, it also offers a range of all day breakfast foods such as menemen(baked omelette), a Turkish breakfast platter(with haloumi, chipolatas, eggs and tomatoes) and a cabinet filled with scrummy pies, spanakopita and both raspberry and chocolate/pistachio croissants. Portions are generous and the service is friendly. Set in a trendy and humorously decorated space on the side streets of Newmarket, this is definitely one Turkish delight you won’t want to miss. Tessekur ederim(thanks)!
