I haven’t had Szechuan hand pulled noodles this awesome since living in China! And! Free wifi!

As they say in Northern China, Chifanle meiyou? «Have you eaten?»
I was keen to sample some Northern Chinese cuisine but that came at a price! I had to get over the tacky décor and the less than pristine conditions.
I muttered; ‘she’ll be alright’ and sat down. After ordering 3 dishes to sample; we watched a team of cleaver-​cutting noodle ninjas work out of a kitchen — the size of an origami boat! Great big bowls of goji berry soups and steamed buns came sailing out of the kitchen. The spicy aromas and intensely colourful soups made my mouth water. The irregular shaped, clever-​cut noodles were a lot more flavoursome, than ramen. Really interesting texture too; smooth on the outside but chewy on the inside. The X’ian street-​style, spicy lamb stuffed burger was my favourite.
The service was perfectly acceptable and the food, really interesting! I think I might have to go back to sample the goji berry soup…
