Typical pommie bar :) the lamb fry was totally disappointing as it was lamb liver and not specified in the menu. My friend could not eat it and we returned it back. The waiter did offer her a free sundae but obviously not what we wanted in the first place. He did say they would change the menu and specify that lamb fry was actually lamb liver. My steak was cooked to perfection though and margaritas were perfect including a good Shiraz. Not too pricy and parking can be found easily. Mind u it was a week day arvo.

Above average meals(depending which chef is working on the night you visit) for an English pub & what appears to be a good selection of beer from the UK. Tuesday is quiz night from 7:30pm and Wednesday they have a steak special for around $ 10.00 Lots of outdoor seating which overlooks the south end of Browns Bay beach. Good for an informal meal out with mates.

I’m not sure whether it was intentional or just by chance, but every time I walk past Speakers Corner in Browns Bay, I get the feeling that this English pub was placed on the southern end of town for a reason — it’s a good walk from the trendy bars that are on the northern end of the village, thus keeping the riffraff as far away as possible. I accept that there is no sinister reasoning behind this development, after all, the trendy places are a new thing for family friendly Browns Bay; and Speakers Corner’s been going for a long time. All this being said; Speakers Corner is a fun pub with typical pub grub and cold beers. Sure the patrons are older, with tattoos and beards, and the men are rough looking too, but it is an easy going place, good for a beer and watching people go by.
