They have a few Storm & India tea varieties — I tried the chai And it was lovely, having been given a lot of tea and what looked like spice infused milk. They serve Allpress coffee — the flat white we got was spot on. The menu disappoints a little bit — same smashed avocado on toast, mushroom on toast etc. like any other café — it’s a shame, because the décor is clean, crisp and very inviting and the staff friendly.

The Burbs is a small cosy café tucked in next to a group of convenience stores right in the heart of Farm Cove. Décor is great, simple and clean with fresh flowers on each table. The menu is not extensive at all. I had the eggs benedict with bacon which is only available on weekends. It was definitely on the heavier side, more so than typically. The hollandaise missed the slight tangy taste that I enjoyed and the rosemary was too overpowering. The chicken sandwich from the cabinet was great toasted with some relish. Service is quick and friendly. We saw the steak sandwich come out and it looked massive. Definitely one to try next time. There are hardly any decent cafes in the area so this is definitely one to watch. Hopefully The Burbs will look at introducing a much greater selection on the menu soon. Would love to also see some fresh juices and smoothies too.
