I’m a little taken aback by the only moderate reviews for this place so far. It’s an absolute gem– yes it’s right in the middle of town and in a prime location to attract the afterwork lawyer/​businessmen crowd, but it’s totally unpretentious about everything except beer. I for one consider that a good thing. The occasionally surly service is all part of the experience. I prefer bartenders who mock me for drinking crap beer over bartenders who are clueless anyway.

First the location is great, right in the middle of the cbd, and in a very cute and historical lane. You have the great old pub feeling which is great. Loads of types of beers for awesome local brewery. The common Heineken is not to be drunken there ! Great place

Went here with a girlfriend of mine after it was recommended to her. Unfortunately the service wasn’t just bad, it was pretty insulting. We were laughed at for our drink choices & judged negatively for the amount of food we ordered by the bartender. We were borderline going to cancel our order & go elsewhere but decided to stay as we didn’t have to interact with the bartender anymore once we ordered. The food itself was very well priced & reasonably tasty. Unfortunately even the good prices can’t lure me back until there has been a customer service overhaul.

Best bar in Auckland hands down! The food is great, the staff rock and I won’t even start on the beer list. You should be here, right now!!! Then come back the day after that and the day after that. Is it obvious yet that this is a great place? Keep up the great work Vultures.

Watching NZ play Australia in World Cup cricket. Couldn’t get tickets to the game so had lunch at Mamak and now am at Vulture’s Lane. Seems to be the place to be. Massive selection of beers and nachos are $ 5.00 today.
Had a pint of Garage Project and now thinking about a pint of 8WiredSemiconductor!

Love this relatively recent addition to the Auckland Craft Beer scene, it’s unpretentious, unfussy and has a load of ever-​changing damn good craft beer on tap. Added to that is a bottle selection that can be purchased to take away, and some great meal specials during the week. It’s handily located, welcomes everyone and (at this time of year) has sport on the telly.
Perfect for an afterwork drink or a catch up with friends.

It’s a great very small craft beer pub. Worth the trip. They change the slectuon often to always good brewes on tap.
