The service was very good. The food was ok. The food was a little salty and they serve all the meats medium well– well done. The Brazilian places I’ve been to have their meats cooked to order.

After spending almost a week in South Korea eating the goddamn meatiest food ever contrived, I landed in New Zealand fucking DYING for a salad. Or an apple. Or just something that, at some point in its existence, didn’t make farmyard sounds. That evening’s dinner was a group deal in this place called Wildfire, which was apparently Italian. «Sweet,» I thought, «Italians eat salads.» We made our way to the restaurant(bonus Unilocal review of Auckland: it’s beautiful. Live your life there) aaaaaand NOPE. Fuckin’ Brazilian steakhouse. Too jetlagged to protest, I waddled my ever-expanding frame to the table and sat down, ready for some Portuguese-speaking chap to kick me over the brink into the sugary diabetic abyss below. And you know what? Sod it. Take my feet. The food was incredible. Round after round of perfectly seasoned and cooked food swung by until I was beyond stuffed. The chicken thigh was a favourite, along with the sausage, which I never thought I’d really want in my face at a Brazilian steakhouse. The usual assortments of steak servings were excellent, as was the pork belly. They brought round weird pasta dishes, which I didn’t really understand, but hey ho, whatever floats your boat. I suppose I should have factored in price before deciding that Wildfire was a five star Unilocal review for me, but, it being a work dinner, it was kinda free. Still, unless they demand triple digits or body parts for their food, I’m standing by the score. The place is great. If you ever find yourself in Auckland and you’re looking for somewhere fancy to eat, try it! THEEND.

My husband and I went for an impromptu early Friday evening dinner, and had a great time. For clarification, the only reason it’s not rated as 5 stars is because we found the restaurant really brightly lit and felt a little cramped(had to move the table so my husband could actually get into his seat due to a column behind his chair). Having said that, the meats were wonderful — I like pork, chicken, seafood, and husband loves red meats, so we were both well-served! We chose a red wine — chianti — which actually matched well with everything, and I had a cocktail from the trolley server which was lovely and strong — wheeeee! My highlights were the chicken, so juicy and tender, the pork, and the roast lamb. Hubby loved the pork as well, and the freshly made pork sausages. Delish. It IS expensive(full bill was just a touch under $ 150), but a fantastic experience, and I’m still in a(pleasant) meat coma a day later!

Don’t know about the food but the bar and DJ are crap. Spent a few days at the Hilton nearby and tried this place twice for evening drinks. Location can’t be beat but management lacks skills and the DJ cant mix to save his life. He does have the volume figured out, at least how to blast his bad taste. Maybe the food is good but get out before the DJ shows up. The locals have it figured out. They are at the other places nearby. Sad.

Good restaurant, went for a late lunch and we had burgers. Drinks were good, and the service was attentive. High quality burger and food all the way round. Kinda pricey, but worth it. Would go back.

Went here several years ago while travelling through New Zealand with my daughter. Most of the New Zealander food was rather bland, so for our last night in New Zealand we decided to try something different. This was our introduction to the Brazilian churrasco experience. The food was magnificent, it was plentiful and the wait staff never tried to rush us. It is an experience I would love to repeat.

We visited Wildfire for the first time while visiting Auckland recently and we were definitely impressed. I’m sure you’ll get the gist of how the menu works from the other reviews, however I’d add that the wait staff were prompt, efficient, and friendly as well. Whenever you think of «all-you-can-eat» type formats, one tends to automatically assume that quality of food is compromised as the establishment opts for quantity over quality. However in this case I was surprised by the impressive culinary skills of the kitchen staff to consistently delivery high quality and flavour-filled cuts of meat throughout the evening. We will definitely return here next time we are in town.

I’ve been to Wildfire for lunch only, on a hot summer’s day. The service was fine and the location was lovely, I just struggled to find something on the menu I felt like for lunch. Most of the options were full meals with meat, not something I felt like on such a summery day. I went for the Ceasar salad which was pretty cheap at $ 14.50 but not enough for a whole meal. It’s probably great for people who like eating lots of meat at every meal, but if you want a big lunchtime salad by the water look elsewhere.

So, I’ve heard this place is a restaurant? That’s news to me, I’ve honestly only been out here to dance in the wee small hours of the morning. I’m not sure what it’s like as a restaurant but I really like it as a club. They play modern latin dance music which is great fun to dance to and the whole place has a very cool vibe. I love the mini fireplaces they have scattered around. One of the things I really like about it is how safe I feel when I go there. It attracts a slightly older crowd which means the atmosphere is slightly(and I mean slightly) more refined than the average Viaduct club and you don’t get so many hideously drunk guys hitting on you or trying to molest you(YAY). It’s a really great place to go with a bunch of girlfriends who just want to dance.

I visited Wildfire for the first time tonight with a group of friends. We didn’t know what we were in for! But we definitely walked away satisified. We opted for one of the set dining options — $ 40 each for continuous service of meat, seafood and side dishes(vegies, salad, bread). Staff rotate round with cuts of lamb, chicken, beeef, sausages, seafood and more! We thought it was the most gourmet buffet we had ever been to. At one point we got so mindblown that we just had to have a breather, so we switched our little red/green centre piece over to the red — which signals to wait staff that we don’t want them to stop at our table. I particularly enjoyed the lamb, salmon and the side dish of zucchinis. I thought all the food was to a high standard. Every so often we saw a dessert trolley go by, but we couldn’t sample any of those delights because that is another, more expensive menu option. I’m not sure if I would have been able to fit much of that in, but they too looked divine. Really great restaurant, located on the Princes Wharf. Seating inside and out(overlooking water).

I arrived about eight thirty on a busy week day night for a friends thirtieth birthday dinner, a first timer at the Wildfire restaurant I sure was in for an amazing treat. I ordered a glass of Pinot Gris from the bar and walked around to our booked table for twenty, the entrée started with some breads, dips, olives, and cheese, whilst we waited on the waiters to rotate around the room with different choices of meats– when I say choice there was a lot to choose from. Grilled chicken, lamb, beef fillet, fish, salmon, chicken heart, pork, prawn, vegetables, endless options, and constant. Once you decide that you have eaten enough you can close the table down for a rest by placing a red roller on the table, once you feel keen again flip the roller to show green which will start the flow of food once more. The restaurant was closing down for serving around 11pm. The entire evening the very busy restaurant had a birthday celebration song at every single table, I didn’t know whether it just so happened this night everyone was celebrating there special day or if it was just part of the Wild Fire Churrasco experience? All In all I had great efficient service from well trained staff and a fabulous festive dinner. Well worth the set price I paid.

Oh how I loved this place. As much meat as you could eat. Its not just cheap cuts, its real quality. The waiters come round with different cuts of meat all the time, Steak, lamb, chicken, sausage, squid. You will need to calm it down with a few veggies otherwise you will get the meat sweats. You have what looks like a pepper mill on the table. One end is red and the other is green. All the time you have it green you will be presented with food. As soon as you need a break or want to stop you turn it over to red. Pure genius. The price was amazing too. At least half what I would expect to pay in the UK You have to book though as it gets very busy very quickly.
