Stumbled into this fun bar on Dia de los Muertos, finding a huge party and an even bigger event outside. My husband got a Wellington brew that was dark and chocolatey, and I got a sauv blanc (naturally). We had a blast and they had so many different local options to choose from.

Haven’t had anything to eat here but it’s all about the beers anyway. Smaller tap selection than others in Wellington but always well chosen locals. A great locale and a more relaxed music selection make this a good place to duck away from Courtenay or Cuba for a beer worth drinking.

Being from Wisconsin I’ve been, I’ve drunk and been drunk at plenty of hole-​in-​the-​wall bars. Needless to say, I feel at home but damn glad to be here in Wellington at the moment. They’ve hit what they are striving for minus the dirty glasses and a bum at the end of the bar.

A bar groaning with craft beers from in and around the Wellington region this bar is one of those many secretive bolt holes that are dotted around the city. What sets this one apart is it’s welcoming down-​to-​earth attitude. Easy going and cool. Grab a cold one on a cold night and settle in for the evening.

Love this place! Great range of beer, great location and cool atmosphere. Beer is love!
