Lovely spot for brunch. Came here two days while I was staying close to Cuba street. Their cappuccinos were awesome, and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Great music, too! One day I had the pancakes, and the toast with poached eggs on another.

Coffee excellent. Had the Kumara hash with bacon and eggs and hollandaise. Bacon was nice and crispy without being burnt. The guys really friendly. I would definitely come back again.

Very well prepared bacon benny, which was a bit of a twist on the original(including sourdough toast as the base). Hollandaise was perfect texture and taste, but eggs were not runny at all, which is over-poached for eggs benedict. But honestly, it did not detract from the dish overall hot chocolate was the best I have had in Wellington. Wait staff was exceptionally nice.

Very busy café, great menu! Service a little slow, but food was worth the wait! The Kumera Hash with bacon, eggs and hollandaise was amazing.

Crap coffee that I sent back and it came back burnt. The food was very average — eggs slightly rubbery, black burnt chunks in the fries, and a half rotten avocado.

I travel regularly and order a Benedict at least once in every town as a kind of common denominator. Some poach the eggs perfectly, but serve it with an acidic, broken hollandaise. Others foul up the bread, or the meat. Something is always slightly off. Not here. The Bacon Benedict I had at Plum this morning was a perfect, balanced, rich, and precisely seasoned dish. Best Benedict I’ve tried on four continents. If you’re wandering down Cuba street on a quiet sunday morning, make a stop just south of that quirky water fountain with the canteleavered scoops.

Yum pancakes & the mini Plumster breakfast was still big enough for one. Great service with the waitress letting us know there would be a wait for our food. We will defiantly go back and possibly be a regular brunch spot.

Had a really nice dinner there of beer battered fish of the day and my partner had the beef salad. Overall a really pleasant experience. Good atmosphere, good food. The service could have been improve in places. We werent greeted when we came in and wasn’t sure if we were supposed to take a seat or speak to some one at the bar first.

I really wanted to give plum five stars after all they seem to have everything I’m looking for in a café. My only complaint is there service seems to be lacking sometimes. They completely forget about you and don’t greet you when you come in. You don’t know if your suppose to order at the counter or wait for them to realize you exist. Once you figure out where to order, the food really is delightful and paired with there great coffee you can’t go wrong. They also offer free wifi which is a perk in Wellington for anyone looking to search the city while there traveling. Once you get over the fact you might be waiting a bit it’s really a must visit on your travels through Wellington.

The revamped Plum is situated in Cuba Street, the trendy heart of Wellington’s downtown, nestled amongst shops, bars and cafes. It’s a popular place to catch up for brunch or lunch alike, serving up enormous muffins, panini and everything from homemade toasted muesli to full-on Plumster breakfasts, keeping both hungry meat-eaters and vegetarians happy.
