Entler

Das Entlers ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Es befindet sich etwas verteckt in einer Seitengasse von der Wiedner Hauptstraße.
Die Reservierung ist telefonisch, aber auch im Online Reservierungssystem möglich. Auf der Speisekarte findet man außergewöhnliche Speisen und Kombinationen wie z.B. Truthahnmedaillons mit Mozarella und Salami gefüllt oder ein Lamm Cordon Bleu. Ich habe eben die Truthahnmedaillons genommen, die ich mir vorher schon von der Karte ausgesucht habe.
Das Essen ist einfach toll. Es schmeckt nicht nur gut und lecker, sondern wird auch sehr schön am Teller präsentiert. Worauf hier auch anscheinend sehr wert gelegt wird. Da denkt man fast, zu schade zum Essen. Wobei es wirklich zu schade wäre es «Nicht» zu essen, denn dann verpasst man wirklich ein Geschmackserlebnis. Auch die Kürbisschaumsuppe mit Schrimps war sehr gut.
Was einem in diesem Preissegment nur stören könne, ist, dass man weder mit Kredit– oder Bankomatkarte bezahlen kann, auf was jedoch auch schon in der Speisekarte hingewiesen wird. Auch der Gruß aus der Küche, der im Gedeckaufpreis von 2 Euro enthalten ist, hätte etwas krestiver dein können.
Hier kann man wirklich sehr gut essen und das Auge isst auch gleich gerne mit. Einfach ein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Ich werde das Restaurant sicher wieder besuchen.

What can I say ! The best restaurant I have ever been in Vienna. Perfect combination of service, quality of food, ambiance, location. Everything is amazing. I was floored by the service and quality of shrimp. I never had such amazing tasting shrimp before and trust me I grew up eating shrimp every day. This is a must go place if you are in Vienna

Haben Gutscheine geschenkt bekommen und mussten das Lokal daraufhin gleich austesten.
die Gerichte sind in der gehobeneren Preisklasse anzusiedeln und beim Studium der Speisekarte rann uns das Wasser im Mund zusammen:
Von Carpaccio über Garnelen bis hin zu Suppen (z.B. Parmesanschaumsuppe) klang alles hervorragend.
Wir hatten Carpaccio, Gänse (oder Enten, da bin ich mir nicht mehr sicher) leber und zur Hauptspeise zweimal das Lammsteak.
Die Vorspeisen waren gut, das Lamm ausgezeichnet. Selten hatte ich so ein gutes Stück in einer dermaßen ausreichenden Portion! Also wenn das auf der Speisekarte steht unbedingt bestellen.
Einziges Manko: Wir mussten sehr, sehr lange auf das Essen warten (ich glaube ja man hat uns vergessen), wurden aber mit einem Gläschen Sekt dafür entschädigt :-)

Für mich eines der besten Lokale !

I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my meal at Entler. A friend and I were struggling to find a fabulous meal for our last night in Vienna that was still in our neighborhood (1040 Wien), and finally both stumbled upon Entler online. We called the restaurant around 8:30PM on a Saturday evening, and were lucky enough to secure a spot for two shortly afterwards.
Things to note about our experience at Entler:
1. Ambiance: Fancy, modern interior, low lighting, with white walls, and large wired silver adornments on the ceiling and walls. Mix of couples, families, and groups at tables of various sizes, buzzy volume, but not too loud.
2. Wine selection is broad and cheap (by comparison to US, at least). I enjoyed two glasses of Austrian whites, which totaled to only 5 euros together. Win!
3. The bread and tapenade/​oil combo at the beginning of the meal is served immediately, but isn’t too big of a portion to spoil the rest of your meal. My appetizer, entrée, and dessert were perfection. I started with the pumpkin soup, which was velvety and laced with truffle oil. I moved on to the veal with pea mousse, coffee sauce, and truffled potatoes (bring on the truffles!). The veal was cooked perfectly, and the sauce complemented it well. Our dessert was a shared molten chocolate cake. Warm chocolate to end a meal? Yes, please.
4. Our service was friendly and attentive throughout. The waitresses were very sweet, and the host greeted and bid us farewell warmly.
5. Our bill was an even 30 euros each, which felt like a great value for the very high quality compared to a few of the other meals we had shared in Vienna.
Great experience, and would definitely come back!

Auf Empfehlung des Concierge unseres Hotels im März im Restaurant Entler gespeist, da Sternelokale in Wien am Samstag fast ausnahmslos auf Betrieb verzichten.
Schönes Lokal, sehr gutes Essen, gute Weinauswahl, Preis/​Leistung hat uns überzeugt.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für:
— Innenbeleuchtung (die Energiesparlampen ergeben ein kaltes Licht, das die violett gestrichenen Wände noch ein wenig düsterer erscheinen lässt!)
— Das Service war langsam und ineffizient; Mitarbeiter gingen mehrmals mit leeren Händen in die Küche, obwohl überall leere Teller auf den Tischen standen. Man schien auf aufmerksamere Bedienung von Freunden und Stammkunden fokussiert.

Stylisch nettes Lokal mit tollen kulinarischen Leckerbissen zu moderaten Preisen.
Der Entler befindet sich in der Nähe der Rotkreut– Blutspendezentrale im IV. Wiener Bezirk in einer Seitengasse der Widener Hauptstraße.
Das Lokal ist sehr nett gestaltet und gemütlich.
Die Bedienung ist sehr zuvorkommend und um den Gast bemüht.
Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig, das Essen sehr gepflegt und einfach köstlich.
Die Nachspeisen sind vom Feinsten.
Die Weinauswahl bietet wohl auch für jeden etwas.
Last but not least. Die Preise sind für diese gehobene Lokalität mehr als moderat.

Love this place! The food is really great, the price is even better and last but not least the service is to die for. This restaurant is a hidden gem, not far from Vienna’s city core, and always worth a trip. One of my all time favourites!

Tolles lokal! Sehr gutes Essen und das Service war nett und freundlich! Mein Steak war optimal, und der Morchel-​Risotto war traumhaft. Der Risotto war so extrem gut, dass ich nur Risotto hätte essen sollen (aber natürlich Wein dazu…).
Die Atmosphäre hat mir auch gefallen, meistens das Dekor und die Wandfarbe.

VERY good quality, friendly service, what more do you want?

Classy trendy restaurant offering innovative high-​end international fare. You’ll be impressed by the food quality. Unfortunately service is not Europe’s strong suite and Entler does nothing to change this perception. Expect to wait and not be waited on.(since this is a cultural thing it does not affect my rating) Reservations are a must. Euros only.
Entrée:
The duck is some of the best I’ve had, crispy and juicy. It was presented in an oblong dish with a delicious sauce and chanterelles. Could not have been better.
Desert:
We had a threesome sampler with raspberry ice cream, flan and chocolate. It was good but nothing outstanding.

waren dort vor ein paar wochen abendessen. das lokal war sehr voll, trotzdem bekamen wir ohne reservierung noch einen tisch. die bedienung war trotzdem sehr freundlich und flink. leider mussten wir auf die vorspeise eine dreiviertel stunde wartencrapaccio und suppe waren in ordnung.
als zweiten gang hatte ich einen salat mit ziegenkäse der etwas langweilig war und mein freund grammelknödel, die leider ohne grammeln waren. er hat sie zurück gehn lassen und bekam nach ein paar minuten eine neue portion leider waren bei dieser die knödel noch gefroren in der mitte. er hats dann gelassen.
als hauptgang hatte er die ente die vorzüglich war. Alles in allem war es ein netter abend bis auf das lange warten und den lärmpegel (das lokal hat hohe räume und es hallt extrem)

In the two weeks my husband and I vacationed in Eastern Europe (Austria, Hungary and Poland), we agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences we had. Phenomenal food, combo of rustic/​swanky décor and friendly service!
Bread basket: OH man — rye bread with nuts, seeds and carrot dipped into the herb oil concoction started the meal off right.
Drinks: Very little beer selection because the server said the restaurant is more known for its wine list.
Apps: Beef carpaccio with rocket, pine nuts and parm. Incredibly flavorful and fresh. Beef melted in my mouth and the rocket (popular greens in this neck of the woods) added some spicy notes. The pine nuts complemented texturally with a bit of crunch and the Parmesan rounds out overall taste with a hint of saltiness and creaminess.
Husband’s entrée: Fried duck breast (still tender and juicy inside the crust) with chanterelles (mushrooms also abound in this area) that added a woody/​earthy flavor with sweet apricot preserves meant as a topping, served in a jar. A potato gratin and turnips in cream on the side made this a filling meal.
My entrée: Fork tender venison in a ragout of juicy black currants (common fruit of the region) with chunks of carrots. This was a hearty dish with so much meat and I loved the pops of currant juice throughout the thick stew-​like ragout. Next to this was a large serving of giant potato dumplings. The texture of these resembled hardened polenta and the size of them were a bit too large/​overwhelming.
Dessert: Chocolate mousse with macerated strawberries, whiskey ice cream and some rolled up milk and white chocolate shavings as garnish. I LOVED the sweet mousse in tandem with the sour red currants. The ice cream had a rice pudding kind of texture, which was a little odd but still tasted yummy.
This restaurant is a must-​eat during a night on the town in Vienna — regional cuisine with a modern twist in a hip, intimate setting. (Please note: Although it’s one of the better restaurants in the city, it’s cash-​only so make sure to bring your Euro, or you’re making a 7-​minute walk to the nearest ATM.)

Während einer Reise nach Wien im Febr. 2011 besuchten wir das Restaurant Entler und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit kulinarischen Highlights! Die gehobene Küche überzeugte uns in jeder Hinsicht und auch die Weinauswahl war ganz vorzüglich. Im schönen, gemütlichen Ambiente ließ es sich herrlich speisen. Das Restaurant war gut besucht und die Heizung schien etwas zu hoch eingestellt zu sein, doch trotz der Wärme und dem Geräuschpegel haben wir diesen Abend in sehr guter Erinnerung.

Excellent! restaurant delicious food, original servings, great service. You won’t be disappointed.

Hervorragendes Essen und sehr gute Weine in diesem kleinen aber feinen Restaurant des 4. Bezirks.
Das Personal ist nett, kompetent und die Speisen werden nicht zu lange nach der Bestellung serviert.
Die Nachteile sind meiner Meinung nach daß weder Bankomat noch Kreditkarten akzeptiert werden und daß es schnell zu laut wird wenn viele Gäste da sind.
Wie dem auch sei, eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse.

I have a top 5 of restaurants around the world, and this tops the list. Every time I am in Vienna, I finagle a way to have dinner here.
The food — the menu consists of creative starters, entrees and desserts that are made from local, sustainable food and changes regularly. They do creative spins on venison dishes, which I routinely try, and I must say, in all my visits, it was always different from the last visit and more perfect than the last time.
My last visit, I started with the Beef Carpaccio with mushrooms and arugula… they make one of the best Carpaccios I have eaten in all of Europe. The beef was flavorful and perfect, and the presentation artful. I had an entrée of venison with sauteed mushrooms and rose hip sauce… it melted in my mouth and again, another work of art. For dessert, we split the molten chocolate cake with cream, fruit and home made vanilla ice cream.
All of the food is artfully presented to a point where you hate to take a bite of the work of art, as it is so beautiful.
The wine list is extensive and they are happy to suggest the perfect wine to pair with your meal.
The atmosphere is sleek, modern and upscale.
The place is always packed with mostly locals, so make a reservation. They are closed on Mondays and do not accept credit cards, so make sure to plan accordingly.
Werner, Franz and Sonia run the restaurant and they are gracious and make your dining experience personal and memorable. They have an English Menu available and the staff is always happy to help translate if needed.
This is truly a gem in an off the beaten path area of Vienna that sits just outside the ring. It is still #1 on my list of places to eat. You should definitely add it to your dining bucket list!

Kühles, aber doch gemütliches Restaurant mit freundlicher, fachkundiger Bedienung.
Preise nicht übertrieben, Preis-​/​Leistungsverhältnis absolut ok.
Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachtisch exzellent und üppig.

Das Entler bekommt von mir ganze 5!!! Sterne. Das Ambiente des Lokals ist fein, aber nicht so sehr, dass man sich unwohl fühlt. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Preise sind hier — nicht wie oft in Lokalen dieser Klasse eher überteuert — top. Da gönn ich mir auch gerne noch ein Dessert, obwohl das Bäuchlein nach Vorspeise und Hauptspeise schon gut gefüllt war.
Die Vanille Crème Brulee ist sehr zu empfehlen :-)
Komme wieder!

Zum einen sind schon die Servicekräfte sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dann bekam ich ohne Probleme auch noch eine eigens zusammengestellte Vorspeise. Und das Steak vom Angusrind mit Rote-​Zwiebel-​Chutney und Kräuterrisotto — einfach toll! War das erste, aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal dort.

Sehr angenehmes und gutes Lokal im vierten Bezirk, in einer Seitengasse der wiedner Hauptstraße. Gediegene klassisch-​moderne Einrichtung, kreative Deko und nette Atmosphäre, schöné Weinkarte und freundliche Bedienung. Die Crème brulée von der Gänseleber mit Apfel-​Sellerie-​Salat und Brioche war eine gewagte aber sehr stimmige Vorspeise und der warem Schokokuchen mit flüssigem Innenleben gehört sowieso zu meinen süssen Favoriten
