Omnom burger

I was anticipating this visit for a while as I only eat red meat about 2 or 3 times a year and I had not had a good burger in a long, long time.
This place, as other reviewers have said, is really small with very tight but seemingly friendly seating. There were two guys working the register and the small grill with what looked like well-​practiced precision. It was lunch time and the place was packed. Packed!
When I asked for the bathroom they gave me a small laminated ticket to use at the slightly-​horrible empty pub next door. I put the ticket on the bar in front of the older proprietor with a shaved head and a track suit on. He glanced up disgustedly from his newspaper and cigarette, acknowledging me as if Satan had just walked in after molesting his cat. He said nothing. It was not the worst bathroom I’ve ever seen in Vienna.
Now to the food. My burger was very good but slightly cold by the time it made it from the grill, to the assembly line, to its box and then to me at the counter. They had about 6 burgers lined up on the counter at once for the many people waiting.
The meat was much denser and lower fat than your usual All-​American burger. It was good quality and cooked a nice medium but alas, already cold. Still — this was a good burger with good toppings. As usual at these Austrian «American-​Style!» burger places, there was no mustard and ketchup was not on the burger but in a tiny, shallow paper cup at a cost that never ceases to stun me in this land of «It wasn’t our fault.» They price ketchup as if it is literally a fuckin’ sample of expensive Tequila at a Meat Packing District poseterium in NYC. If I remember right, it was about 80 Euro Cents for this pitiful splash of perfectly ordinary, cheap ketchup. To be fair, every restaurant in Austria which I have visited does this weird ketchup extortion. I swear to God I’m bringing my own fuckin’ bottle of ketchup next time. If you want a reasonable amount of ketchup with your fries, seriously bring your own.
The fries looked like they had potential but sadly the oil in the fryer was obviously too cold and the nicely-​cut thin fries were oil sponges. Not good at all but again, I bet they are great when the place is slower and the fryer oil is properly hot. As it was, the fries were almost inedible unless you like oily, oily, soft, grease-​fries. Some people do, I hear. Bitches.
The service was very friendly and the 20-​something guy at the register was happy to speak English with me. The crowd also was pretty cool with none of the robot-​ice-​human calculator harshness of some of the Austrian locals. This place gets 5 stars for atmosphere and service.
In all, a bit of a disappointment but the burger was good and would have been great if still hot. The french fries, although really bad, had obvious potential if they just had the oil hot enough. Turn up the fryer or get a more powerful one, dudes! I will probably give the place one more try as many of the reviews here are pretty good and the service was great.

The reviews say best burger joint in town, though, maybe they never tried a «real» american burger. I used to live in the US and i think i can judge pretty good what a burger needs to taste like to meet that standard.
Well, the burgers at omnom look like some variation burger but definetly not taste like one. Starting from the bun, its soft but dont come near any burger buns that make you go «ohyeah thats a burger bun». Thr meat patty is very raw and lacks decend seasoning. taste is plane dull. The toppings like salad, tomatos, sauce is ok. Cant do much wrong here.
Next we got the price. Its really overpriced for being «just burgers». Two menus with a burger extra coming close to 40 € is a luxury. Location isnt the best either and wouldnt make the trip there just for that. Id just go to mcdonalds, gets the job done for all your burger cravings.

Les plus: le pain est une sorte de baguette carrée moelleuse et que les boissons né se trouvent nulle part ailleurs. Le John Lemon est une boisson rafraîchissante à plusieurs saveurs. Le goût lime est super et ils servent même des boissons bio.
Les moins: un peu cher car le burger né se constitue que de la viande, d’une grande tranche de tomate, de la laitue et d’une sauce. Les extras coûtent 1 € si l’on prend le «special deal» qui coûtent 13,90 € sinon les prix varient. De, plus il n’y a pas de toilettes (le bar à côté vous laisse utilisez ses toilettes mais le bar pue la cigarette) et que l’endroit est assez petit (18 couverts)
Pour les francophones qui visitent Vienne je pense qu’il y a de meilleurs endroits où manger de bons burgers.

A really fine burger cooked by guys who clearly love their craft. The burgers are fresh, and while a bit more peppered than I usually care for, still very tasty. Although they didn’t ask for a cooking temperature when I ordered, they came out a perfect medium rare.
It’s not quite the exuberant joy you get from a burger at 1516, but if you’ve been out of the states for a while or are just craving some beef, you won’t go awry here.
The burger toppings, sauces and add-​ons can be a bit confusing, so I’d recommend just getting a combo. Also, keep in mind there’s only a few tables inside and they do take reservations, so an empty table doesn’t necessary mean a free one.

Sehr schlechter Service, Getränke wurden nicht an den Tisch gebracht, erst als ich die Bedienung darauf aufmerksam gemacht habe, der Käse auf den Pommes wurde ebenfalls vergessen. Toilette ist keine vorhanden, man muss ins Lokal neben an gehen.
Für mich das erste und letzte mal in dieser Imbiss Bude!

Wer Wert auf gute Burger legt, ist bei Omnom, unweit des Matzleinsdorferplatzes auf der Wiedner Hauptstraße, goldrichtig.
Um hier zu speisen, braucht man zunächst einmal Geduld — gute Burger benötigen vor allem einmal eine Zutat: Zeit — und die nimmt man sicher zugunsten des Geschmacks, dafür sind die belegten Brötchen amerikanische Art anschließend frisch, gut und auch optisch eine Delikatesse. Dass es hier gute Burger gibt, hat sich bereits herumgesprochen, weswegen die geschätzten zehn Sitzplätze allesamt belegt waren. Zum Glück kann man hier sein Kommen im Vorhinein telefonisch ankündigen oder sich gleich nach Hause liefern lassen.
Die Burger selbst können mehr oder weniger individuell zusammengestellt werden: Zur Auswahl stehen jeweils ein Patty aus Fleisch oder fleischfrei, dazu kommen Tomate, Käse und Salat, eine Sauce nach Wahl sowie (gegen Aufpreis) weitere Extras. Weniger gefallen hat mir die Tatsache, dass die vegetarischen Patties hier auf denselben Grillplatten zubereitet werden, auf dem noch Sekunden zuvor Fleisch vor sich hin brutzelte. Für mich persönlich kein Beinbruch, andere Vegetarier oder Veganer sehen das aber mit Sicherheit anders.
Obwohl Burger und Pommes wirklich hervorragend waren, konnten sie meine (allerdings sehr hoch gesteckten) Erwartungen nicht ganz erfüllen — eine unweigerliche Folge, wenn man ein hochgehyptes Lokal ausprobiert. Aus diesem Grund war ich auch nicht ganz mit der Preisgestaltung zufrieden, die mir für diese Gegend, die Größe des Menüs und den Geschmack etwas zu hoch gegriffen ist.
Ein zusätzliches Plus ist das optionale «Craft Beer», welches auf der Speisekarte ausgepriesen wird. Die Auswahl ist zwar nicht groß, der Blick in den Kühlschrank brachte jedoch Biere der ausgezeichneten Wiener Kleinbrauerei «Brew Age» zu Tage. Ich denke, eine «dunkle Materie» harmoniert exzellent mit einem deftigen Burger.
Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Burgerlokal, das zwar den hohen Erwartungen nicht in allen Punkten entsprochen hat, ich es aber trotzdem empfehlen kann.

finde das lokal gelungen eingerichtet, service ist gut, und man wird auch nett bedient. die burger sind lecker, rare war auch rare. pommes dazu waren gut. im allgemeinen gibts einen punktabzug für die sitzgelegenheiten: denn der tisch im fenster steht halb schief & man kann dort kaum sitzen, und die anderen 2 tische sind auch recht mini. wenn man hier zu dritt herkommt, kann man schon schwer sitzen :)

This place was very small and very cool. The service was very friendly too.
The burger itself was awesome, ingredients fresh and the meat was juicy! not sure what kind of bread it was but it held the burger together well and didn’t fall apart half way through. All in all the experience was really good and the best thing is — they deliver too!

We ordered a regular and a veggie burger with fries today, which made for a total order of € 25. Not cheap — even for a gourmet burger. The burgers were ok but barely warm when we got them. We reheated in the microwave which is never good — especially for the lettuce inside the burger.
The burger was still decent.
HOWEVER, to charge € 5 for delivery with an order of over € 25 and the getting a nearly cold meal is ridiculous!

Omnom Burger ist ein kleines Lokal an der Wiedner Hauptstraße mit Takeaway und ein paar Tischen. Mittig ist die Küche und Bar und rundherum stehen die Tische.
Die Burger stehen als Veggie und Meat zur Auswahl, das wars dann aber auch schon. Zur Auswahl stehen dann diverse Zutaten wie Cheddar Käse, Onions, Bacon, etc.
Der Burger war gut, die Pommes auch, aber alles nicht außergewöhnlich.

Nettes kleines Burgerlokal in der Wiedner Hauptstraße. Im Lokal gibt es nur 3 kleine Tische, daher eher als Take-​away zu empfehlen. Service war nett und die Einrichtung ist im sympathischen Ikea-​Look gehalten. Zu den Burgern: Ich fand sie ganz gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Habe in Wien definitiv schon bessere Burger gegessen. Vor allem das Burgerbrot (ähnlich einem Wachauerlaibchen und mir persönlich zu wenig süß) war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch die Saucen waren leider nicht hausgemacht. Pommes wiederum ganz gut!

Best burger so far. The meat was just perfect and the combination of cocktail sauce in it fit just perfectly.
The place is unfortunately very tiny so around lunch time might be full (only 4 tables for 2). They do take away if you are interested.
They serve a delicious lemonade John Lemon made in Poland. Simple and tasty.
Totally worth trying!

One of the best burger places in the city. Buuuttt, this all depends on what you are expecting. Small place, no fire grill, juicy and fresh made meat, good atmosphere. Master comparison in my spreadsheet comparing to the other top burger joints!

Ich hatte ja High Hopes fürs Omnom Burger, nachdem ich hier die ersten Fotos gesehen hab. Gab es endlich ein Burgerlokal, dass meine heißgeliebten karamellisierten Zwiebeln zwischen die Brötchen legt? Kurz gesagt: leider nicht.
Gelegen ist das Omnom direkt auf der Wiedner Hauptstraße. Es ist ein kleines Lokal mit 3 – 4 kleinen Tischchen und der Küche direkt daneben. An den Wänden sind Spiegel die mit Kritzelein, Zeichnungen und Sprüchen dekoriert sind und auf den rustikalen Tischlein gibt es kleine Eimerchen mit Besteck und Servietten. Die Küche im Industrie Look mit Metall daneben stört einen dann gar nicht so, da das Ambiente allgemein sehr nett ist.
Über den Service kann man auch gar nichts bemängeln. Ich hatte telefonisch einen Tisch reserviert, und wir wurden auch schon freundlich begrüßt und schnell bedient.
Nun zum Burger. Wie bereits gesagt, Karamellisierte Zwiebeln warns leider nicht die ich für «Grilled Onions» bekommen hab. Ansonsten hab ich mir noch Extra Cheddar und Pommes zum StandardBurger dazu genommen. Dass man Pommes extra zahlen muss find ich ein bisschen blöd. Die Sauce für den Burger kann man sich selbst wählen, ich hab sie im Burger leider nicht bemerkt. Das Fleisch kam Medium rare, der Käse war weich geschmolzen und der Salat knackig.
Das Weckerl war leider nicht meins. Ähnlich einem Wachauer Weckerl ist es relativ weit von einem typischen Burgerbun entfernt und leider auch etwas trocken. Da die Sauce leider ebenfalls etwas untergeht, fällt der Burger allgemein etwas zu trocken aus, auch wenn das Fleisch lecker weich ist.
Die Pommes dazu waren eine nette Mischung aus Knusprig und weich. Zum Dippen kann man aus mehreren Saucen wählen.
Die Atmosphäre ist super nett, die Burger werden mit Bedacht gemacht und ansprechend serviert. Die Service ist auch supernett, aber die Burger waren für mich einfach etwas zu Trocken, aber probiert es mal aus. Die Preise sind im normalen Bereich und das allgemeine Design ist super gelungen — also ist es durchaus einen Stopp wert: D

Ein neues, super süßes kleines Burger Lokal im 5ten. Qualitativ hochwertige Zutaten die man auch schmeckt — wirklich zu empfehlen! Das Fleisch ist besonders gut gewürzt und das Brot erinnert an Ciabatta — knusprig und innen schön weich — der Hammer :-))

Echt geniale Burger– sau lecker und preislich auch sehr gut! Super nettes Personal (Besitzer), die alles selber machen und mit ihrer offenen Art das Erlebnis Omnom Burger perfekt machen. Klein aber extrem fein — auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

I really do like good burgers, and the burgers at omnom are good to very good. So why only 3 stars?
They are juicy, the meat tastes fresh, and bun and sauce are also nice. But…
Well quite simple the burgers are too small for the price — or the price too high for the small size.
And while I like the concept that you pay for any extra ingredient in your burger besides the patty, sauce, salad and bun — the base pricing of 8,90 € for a burger smaller than a Big-​Mac (yeah comparing crap with quality here) is simply too high.
Or in other terms — there are many burgers that are simply too big to be eaten with your hands only, they may have sides and you usually eat them partly using fork and knife. This burger here is however still the size to be eaten by hand.
Not so far away is the burger place Delicious Monster — now the serve burgers easily as good, IMHO better, also fresh, cheaper and bigger. So why go to Omnom?
(yeah besides Delicious Monster is closed in the evening). Also some pubs or american diners have to me as good or even better burgers than Omnom.
